Cala Loca: more than a beach resort Imagine a place where the pleasure of a deep relax marries an uncontaminated nature and the discovery of a unique food and wine tradition as the Ligurian one. It's here that, nestled in a natural little bay of the âRivi
Spectacular location on a small private beach at the bottom of a flight of steps from the main road. Lobster linguine, sharing appetiser of seafood and the Ligurian speciality of trofie with pesto all outstanding. Friendly and casual service complements the casual setting. I would skip the coffee.

We came here via TA. We made a booking as we passed thankfully! When we returned, we were greeted nicely, and shown to a good table by the window. The place rapidly filled up with locals. The waiter was charming and helpful , the food (sea bass and swordfish) delicious, and the house white wine good and reasonable. A really nice restaurant!

The menu is decided day by day in based on the fresh fish that we catch every morning. Our tasting menu is composed by one appetizer, one first course, one second course and dessert: the price is 39 euro per persone without drinks.
We went there for a Saturday lunch. I think mid days they serve a fixed menu. There was a starter of fried fish, primi piatti (a nice pasta), than a tranch of white fish with oven roasted potatoes (garlic flavored) and a tart together with home made panna cota. It is served with wine as well. We were driving so we asked half bottle of wine (therefore not sure if you are entitled to get a whole bottle as or not).Nevertheless the food was really good, the setting is also very nice, rest. is in the Marina, they have 2 terraces one on the water the other on the pier, we sat on the pier but still u see the marina. I would definitely suggest this place on a sunny day.Service is great, like setting and food. They dont speak English very well but they definitely try to help you. We really want to go back again and maybe this time for an a-la carte dinner to see how the menu is.

ristorante san giacomo is situated between varazze and cogoleto, in a beautifull location in front of the sea. you can taste an excellent food fish and different traditional italian dishes.
Hot soup isn't something you'd ordinarily think of whilst holidaying in Varazze, more like beaches, pizza, sipping a cocktail. However, on a chilly day, a trip to San Giacomo for a massive serving of Zuppa di Pesce is in order. Loaded with shellfish, big chunks of fish and a sauce that you don't want to leave a drop of - it's a delicious warm up. Cannot comment on anything else at San Giacomo, as I started with this dish and it was so good, I haven't had anything else!

I can certainly say that this was the best culinary experience I had in long time.Massimiliano the Chef really spoiled us for 4 days and every experience was absolutely delicious and tasty. The atmosphere is really cosy and you can be on your own or mingle inn with some other guests and taste and share your opinions. We were lucky because of the truffles season, but even the fish or the lamb they served, was just perfect. You can tell when Passion, Cooking Technique/Skills , and Fresh food make a huge difference.Thank´s for the amazing job guys.Definitely I ´ll be back.

We were recommended this little restaurant and we were not disappointed. It was a lovely authentic little place full of charm. The pasta was superb and our waitress was attentive and very helpful, especially in translating the menu for us! A very reasonably priced meal also!

Small but perfectly formed! Just great, traditional Italian food served by friendly people who clearly know how to feed you. A small place and so busy. Not a bad word to say and full of Italians so if they like it how can us foreigners question it?

We had yummy pizzas, pizza-shaped Recco focaccias and absolutely lavish warm pistachio cream filled pies for dessert. The staff was friendly and welcoming in a cozy setting. A must go to pizza place in Varazze because the price-quality trade-off is excellent and the kitchen provides for an original spin on a traditional offer (pistachio vs the ubiquitous chocolate, focaccia in addition to pizza).
