Petite pause de midi dans ce restaurant très simple mais au service très agréable et attentionné. Les portions sont très généreuses et les plats (simples), sont excellents. La terrasse est très sympa et juste à côté du parking si l'on a envie de garder un oeil sur sa moto. A chaudement recommander...

We enjoyed an excellent 4-course meal (menu gastronomique). Youy can choose between 4 choices for each course. We ordered the house apéritif, made with fresh orange juice, and cointreau: nice but not very appetizing. Still think champagne makes the best apéritif! Our meal started with a complementary bavarois of tomatoes: very fresh and nicely presented. For our first course, we chose the asparagus velouté, as it was the right season for fresh Belgian asparagus. It came with a chervil mousse on top of it. Very nice indeed! We had opted for the braised duck liver, had to pay extra for it, but was absolutely worth it! It was served on a sweet freshly baked "cookie", with fried pear and Tonka beans ice-cream. A strange combination, but it tasted absolutley wonderful. It was the best course of the meal for us.My husband had the codfish with green purée and dille-sauce for his main course. A very traditional but tasteful dish. I preferred the roast-beef with vegetable frittata and a creamy green peppersauce. I was afraid it would have been too rich, but it was a very well balanced dish. For desert my husband, who isn't a fan of sweet dishes, preferred the cheese-plate. It came with some fruit and syrup, which went excellently with the small pieces of cheese. For him, it was a very nice end of the meal.My hazelnut pastry unfortunately was rather hard - I couldn't slice it with my fork or my spoon. I had to scrape the pine-applemousse of it and eat it seperately with my hands, biting a piece of it. In all, my desert wasn't refined enough. The taste of it wasn't very remarkable and didn't meet the standards of the previous courses.Every dish was nicely decorated: very colourful, no big chunks, no full plates. It was all very destinguished. The staff was very well dressed (with a bow tie), but maybe a little too formal. The owner of the hotel and restaurant welcomed every guest during the evening, even shook our hands. That was nice, but also: a little too formal. Our glasses of wine and water were topped regularly. The price of this 4-course meal, inclusing a bottle of wine, a large bottle of water and the apéritif was 146 euro, which we thought was very resonable. This included the additional cost for the duckliver of 7 euro pp.We had chosen our wine, but the waiter suggested another one.It was almost half the price of the one we had originally picked, and unfortunately this was noticable in its taste. Although this white wine was nice the first courses, it was not powerfull enough for the main course, nor the cheese, although the waiter had assured us it was (we had our reservations, but he insisted).Nevertheless, we were so satisfied, that we didn't order a coffee. We never tip: service is always included in the meals in Belgium. It really is NOT rude not to tip!Make sure to make a reservation if you want to eat here!
Wir kamen mit Freunden. Leider durften wir nur drauÃen Platz nehmen. Angeblich sei innen alles reserviert.

Enjoyed "mixed grill" (brochette de boeuf, merguez, agneau) with 3 different sauces, fresh salad and "frites"/French fries (good "value"/17 Euros)Take a look at the local specials. The owner is also wine dealer and has a great choice of nice bottles.... but check=read+understand the wine list and be aware that you have to add 15 Euros for each bottle you don't take home but drink in the restaurant ...this should not be a problem for guests who can "read" (and agree to pay for good value)friendly and good serviceI'm sure to come back if in the region.

Stayed in this beautiful area with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We picked L'ApPetit from Tripadvisor recommendations and were not dissapointed. A very warm reception, beautiful 4 course dinner and great selection of wines, all at reasonable prices. Will definetely go there again!

Sitting in the living room of their house makes it a personal and intimate experience. Each course of the meal was beautifully composed and the unique flavours gently developed in the mouth. You can tell that the ingredients have been carefully selected. We will definitely go back.

On the way home on a family trip, we stopped at Eupen for a diner. Using Tripadvisor, we chose this restaurant, and we don't regret it. As we still had a few hours driving ahead of use, we just had a main course, but despite this, we still got an amuse bouche. The menu is rather limited in choices, which is usually good for fresh ingredients. We went for the duck breast with a Asian touch. The female chef has created a very nice dish, the meat cooked to perfection, combined with about 10 different the veggies cooked to perfection too. The interior is stylish, and the service was professional. All in all, a great dish, and a great diner. It's a bit pricey though.

One man's clear vision and love of good food and wine have turned this former friterie (or chip shop to UK readers) into a truly fine restaurant. a real delight to eat here and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. but take some time with you, as "mein host" or "gastgeber" (after all, we are in the german-speaking part of Belgium) may have a tale to tell for each course, choice of wine or event on the local calendar. attractive location at the junction of two rivers, plenty of parking near by and closeness to some spectacular walking/cycling country make this an ideal weekend destination for those who want to combine gastronomy with fresh air and exercise.

Beautifully presented and executed dishes. We had the oysters for starter (Zeeland I think) followed by the artichoke! For mains we had the perlhuhne which was delicious but could have been slightly more tender, and the pork hoof which was succulent and extremely filling. I highly recommend the house red for its rustic feel. The staff was extremely attentive! Overall a lovely dinner, and would definitely go back.
