Resolutely open to the city, full of history and emotion, the "Van der Valk Sélys Liège" is a mixture of unusual locations with different atmospheres, each run with intelligence and creativity. It is from this very multiplicity that the UrbanResort(R) concept originates, being a subtle combination of aesthetics, inventiveness, comfort and relaxation: a resolutely non-exclusive, exclusive product. With a great number of places to visit, leisure and relaxation activities (such as the 750-m² garden, a haven of peace and greenness in the middle of the complex), the hotel has eight main premises. Each of them alone is an unusual place, charged with an original atmosphere. All are worth the trip and are, in their great majority, open to non-residents. Welcome, attention, service, professionalism are bywords for the staff, whose sole aim is to make sure that the time you spend in these places is as enjoyable as possible.
Really nice hotel. Staff were very friendly from check in to check out. Great quality food. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Would be happy to return for a leisure break instead of business.

When I checked in I made a full payment of €289.20. However when I checked out I was surprised to be told I had a full balance to pay. The lady on the desk explained that my initial payment was only a pre-authorisation and not a proper payment. Nevertheless the €289.20 was deducted from my account balance and the funds were unavailable to me. I was making the payment using a travel card, with a set allocated amount of money that I wanted to spend whilst in Belgium. Therefore after you taking the pre-authorisation amount, there were insufficient funds available on this card. I am well aware that hotels will often take a pre-authorisation, however they would then confirm the initial payment, not force me to essentially pay them twice. Reluctantly I made a second payment using my British credit card. I was told this would take 3 days to return to my account. I checked the payment everyday which stayed in pending stage. I sent an email after a week which was ignored, then sent a second email which was ignored. Shocking customer service! They eventually replied to me on day 16 when the money had returned to my account, only because the payment had expired. Such a shame as the hotel itself was fine, but I will not use Pentahotel again after this experience

The Couronne is perfectly located in the Baroque old town of Solothurn, one of Switzerland’s gems. The rooms are large, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, one definitely has the impression that this is a family run establishment. Can’t wait to visit again.

Just stayed one night but I was very positive. The room was nice and modern. The place has both a resturant and a bar. The breakfast was surprisingly good and hotel staff was very friendly. There is a parking garage very close by as well. Good value for money.

The Van der Valk Hotel Liège Congres just two steps away form the city centre, offers a unique view over the river and the yachts marina. We stay a lot in Van der Valk hotels in The Netherlands so we thought let's try out this hotel in Liège as we are always pleasantly suprised by the high standards and quality of the rooms, staff, etc. We booked an executive room and as it is very spacious (almost twice the size of a standard room) it lacks some features that we are accustomed in Van der Valk hotels. The most notable is the lack of a separate shower in the bathroom. We did have bathtub with a showerhead but no option to hang it up. So we ended up sitting in the tub whilst holding the shower! Even the most basic rooms at other Van der Valk hotels have a separate rainshower and most of the time also a bathtub. The bed itself was okay, but the pillows were substandard and shouldn't even be used anymore. The total cleanliness of the room could be a bit better. The staff in the hotel is kind and helpful, except for the lady at the breakfast service. I think that this wasn't her day. We don't speak French and the staff doesn't speak Dutch so we talked English. Not all of them where very fond of changing to English instead of French. When we had diner our waitress was very kind and attentive. So a big shoutout to her. All with all this is not a Van der Valk hotel that lives up to the reputation that we know and love it by. The possibility for us visiting this hotel again in the future is very slim.

Stay in the heart of Liège at our city center hotel Stay downtown in the Fiery city at the Belgium’s first Radisson Hotel, Liège City Center. Located at a stone’s throw from the Place Saint Lambert, our central hotel offers a unique base for exploring this passionate city full of ‘joie de vivre’.
I stayed with a group for a business meeting. The hotel is new, clean, bright, a true oasis in the city center. The lobby is well designed providing for a homey atmosphere. Our meeting room was well equipped. The staff and the manager are fantastic! Kind and supportive, they took extra care of our group, making sure that our meeting ran smoothly. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. I had a studio on the top floor, spacious and nicely designed. The windows can be opened, which I like very much (to get fresh air). They are also sound proof so guests can have peace although in the city. The bed was wide and very comfortable, charging plugs available everywhere. The bathroom is beautifully designed and equipped for a great shower. The cosmetics are carefully selected. All details taken care of, my impression is that this hotel is created by an experienced traveller. I would like to come back again and would highly recommend this hotel!

Welcome to the Mercure Liege City Centre (formerly Ramada Plaza Hotel Liege) ! The hotel is a beautifully converted 17th-century convent located in the historic city centre on the banks of the river La Meuse. Our centrally located, 4-star hotel is less than 15 minutes walk from the central station and shopping area. FREE internet access for all guests. Only a few minutes by car from the Liege airport, the industrial parks of Herstal, Vise, Angleur and Sart Tilman are within easy reach. The university of Liege is also close by. Motorways to Germany, Holland, France, Luxembourg, Brussels and Liege are accessible within a short space of time and we offer free hotel parking for guests. We look forward to ensuring our guests experience a truly enjoyable stay.
We likes the hotel 's location, and the fact that there were all the things that you need in the room. We didn't like the fact that even they sent me an email that the check in starts at 2 o'clock at afternoon when we got there it was only one of the 4 rooms available and they told us that the time was just on papers. It was rude. What about if there was a person with medical condition? It is inappropriate for this kind of hotel.

The Ibis Liège Centre Opera hotel is located in the city centre, near the Opera House, in the Opéra shopping centre. Liège is the 3rd largest city in Belgium with its picturesque streets, the PRINCE EVEQUES castle and the longest Sunday market in Europe on the banks of the Meuse. Ideal for weekend stays, the hotel has 78 rooms, a bar open 24/24 and free Wifi wireless Internet access for guests on a business trip. Restaurants and public pay parking close by.
It was my second time here for the Mithra Jazz festival. As always, I booked early before Covid on a non-refundable tariff, but events meant that the event was cancelled several times. On the first occasion, Accor offered to provide a credit note as the hotel was closed, but the management allowed me to carry it over several times as the festival was changing dates as the pandemic evolved - great service. The location next to to the Opera is great for visiting downtown Liege - some degree of chaos at present as they build a tram system, so plan carefully how you will arrive - train to St Lambert is fine if you have limited luggage. The hotel is simple for the price - the bathroom is small and the bath/shower arrangement is quite tricky as you have to climb into a hip bath - tricky for everybody, especially getting out. There is no air conditioning, but a fan is provided and as long as you leave the curtains closed during the day, it is OK. The room was surprising quiet over the weekend given the lively location.

Warmly welcomed by the owner who provided a great deal of helpful information for our short stay (both local sights and a good restaurant). The accommodation and the breakfast were flawless. I can see why the reviews are all so good. It’s a pleasure to add one more! Tastefully refurbished spacious bedroom with modern bathroom and fittings and a superb breakfast in the elegant former music room of a fine city mansion. Safe courtyard parking and situated within easy walking distance of restaurants in the old quarter of Liège. Should we ever return I would be disappointed if we had to stay anywhere else. A lovely end to our holiday.
