We used Trip Advisor to find Ruffino's while we were traveling through town. Ignore those who rated this restaurant average or expensive! Very, very good food served in generous proportions! Excellent prices. Yes, the free bread is scrumptious and fresh. My Dad has cheese ravioli and he loved it (says a lot as he isn't a big Italian fan). I had the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken-light portion. It was creamy, hot and had authentic fettuccini noodles cooked perfectly. Excellent portion size for me. Mom has shrimp scampi appetizer size and was pleased with the size and preparation of the dish. Excellent service and meticulous attention to cleaning the glass topped tables were keenly observed. Highly recommend!

As I walked in the 2 lovely ladies working welcomed us in with a lovely smile! I ordered a vanilla latte with a cinnamon roll, the Latte was great! On the down side the cinnamon roll was cold it wouldn't have hurt to at least microwave it for 30 seconds! Other than that it had a decent flavor would highly recommend it! Will consider this place on my next visit!

Premiere location for the best donuts in Southwest Kansas. Serving glazed and cake pastries with custom recipes as well as hot breakfast sandwiches and Boba Smoothies.
For being in a small town, this place has some of the best doughnuts ever! Specially if you get them freshly made, they are to die for! The only problem I had once, was that they charged my card for $10,000 in one of my visits, sounds ridiculous, but it's a true story, I was able to work everything out with the bank and Daylight, I'm just more careful now, I need to check every time they swipe it.

While visiting "The Land of Oz"... which wasn't open... I stumbled upon "The Pancake House". This is old fashioned country wonderfulness epitomized. Great servers. Great coffee. Lots of festive pancake options. I got the Swedish pancakes with ligonberry jelly and a scrambled egg. I don't know what magic they used to make these eggs but they were the best I ever ate!!! I doubt life with bring me vack to Liberal, Kansas, but if it does I am headed to the Pancake House!

Passing through town, seemed like a reasonable choice. And it was a good choice. Service was fast, meals came out very quickly. After a week on the road no way I recall what I had but it was home style comfort food through and through...MoreThank you for your kind words! We hope you will consider us again your next time through! We look forward to serving you again! Safe travels and God bless!

My husband and I decided to try Billy's after reading some reviews and checking out the menu. We walked in and were barely greeted, then during the meal we had no idea who our server was, or supposed to be, seeing as we barely saw a server and when we did it was never the same person; which is odd because we were in a very busy section. The food was over priced, and not even that good, my fries were oily and my husband's food was cold and lacked an adequate amount of vegetables to be considered a philly.

I think that a good rule of thumb would be to avoid Mexican food in Kansas, Nebraska, Dakotas, Utah, Wyoming. This restaurant did nothing to change that opinion. I suppose that for where it is located it is OK, but really not that good compared to Mexican in other parts of the country.
We ordered items such are Chile relleno, chicken enchilada, tamale, taco, tostada, and guacamole. Probable the best was the guacamole and the worst was the tamale.

A local favorite serving authentic Mexican Cuisine since 2010! Vallarta Mexican Grill proudly serves only savory dishes that are sure to delight the taste buds of Mexican food lovers.
Food tastes fresh and homemade, not over processed. The flavor of the steak fajitas was outstanding. The steak was slightly chewy which to me, says unprocessed. Yum. Patron margarita was huge and very delicious. For Mexican food in Kansas, this was yummy.

I ate here because it was given a high rating by my AAA Guide to Kansas, and the restaurant lived up to its billing. I felt immediately at home when I got there, as it appears that this is a favorite hangout for locals. The diners seemed to know one another, and the servers knew their names and what beer they enjoyed. I ordered steak, baked potato, soup and salad, and my meal really hit the spot. The Branding Iron is located inside the Liberal Inn; when I asked directions at a local service station, no one had heard of the Branding Iron restaurant, and my guess is that they all would have known if I had mentioned the name of the motel.

This small restaurant has the biggest and 'bestest' burritos to be found (think chipotle's)! The ingredients are yummy, fresh, and spicy. The servers are courteous and efficient, preparing your burrito as you watch. The seating area is limited but very clean and comfy.
