Had a great stay at Haven House b&b.Iain and Tracey were great hosts..There was some delicious chocolate browny in our room which we enjoyed very much with a cuppa The rooms are comfy, clean and spacious and the sitting room is lovely. Breakfast was delicious and we received a leaving gift of bottled water and cookies for our journey home. Thank you both for a welcoming stay. Leyburn and area is a lovely place to visit.

Eastfield Lodge is a charming Victorian guesthouse Bed & Breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales with 8 en suite bedrooms and a delightful location a few yards from Leyburn's traditional market square. Set in delightful Wensleydale we offer many special deals including 5 day Walking Breaks.
I rented the whole of the big house at the beginning of April for a special celebration. Henry and Penny were wonderful from the outset: lots of little touches, kind, generous, accommodating, flexible and friendly, available but not intrusive - the perfect hosts. The house is gorgeous; incredibly well-equipped (the kitchen is amazing), lovely big rooms, no noise from the road, breathtaking views and a perfect venue to unwind with friends without worrying about the neighbours. Thank you to them for being wonderful hosts and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eastfield Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable home-from-home.

Amazing view of the Dales from the lovely seating area on the patio. Great breakfast each morning to set you up for the day. Plenty of nice eating places in Leyburn, we had Sunday lunch at the Black Swan which was very good. Had a lunch stop on another day at Hardbanks Barn on the road to Hawes, tasty light lunches served and amazing ice cream which is made on their farm.

With so much to do and see in the area why not book a stay in one of the beautiful cottages or new Bed and Breakfast units at Tupgill Park. The cottages are on located on a family owned estate, next to The Forbidden Corner and The Saddle Room There are five cottages to choose from. All of the cottages are self-catering and feature fully fitted kitchens, a comfortable lounge and stylish bathrooms. Our 9 Bed and Breakfast Units are refurbished to a very high standard. Each room is well appointed with nespresso machines and complementary Yorkshire G+T . Linen is provided and rooms are all air conditioned .
Book a room for me and my son for a night and we were in Pretender. Room is beautiful and big but missing some small touches unfortunately: there is no soap dish in the bathroom. None of the toiletries worked :shampoo was very low and the pumps don’t work so I had to open every bottle to dig them out myself. Walk-in shower is great but there is no place to put toiletries so they are all on the floor and shower temperature was also unstable. We had nespresso coffee pods in the room but no coffee machine. Dinner in the restaurant is also not as perfect I I have hoped. My medium rare steak was sent back because it was over cooked. TBH 2nd time is not much better but I ate it because I was hungry. For the price I did expect better quality and service.

First impressions of Curlew were fantastic. A wonderful warm welcome with delicious homemade cake, tea & great cafetière coffee in a stunning rural setting. The hosts really were lovely genuine people. The communal room where you have breakfast and sit in the evening, was sadly much lacking in character; it was not very comfortable nor well appointed. The room was very small. We were on the ground floor, however later in the evening this revealed to be a negative. The tv from the lounge was intrusive as was door opening and closing. I had noted from another review that doors cannot be locked from the outside before I booked. As we were staying just the one night, this did not bother me. However, if I had been staying for a longer period, I think I would have struggled with this. The reason this establishment has been given such a poor review is all down to the bedroom. It was slightly below ground level, with the base of the window just above the ground where sheep graze. I mention this, as it could have been a cause of the issue. The room was HOT, too hot. We felt like we were in a tropical country in February. My mother who has lived in South Africa, could not cope. We were sweating cobs. Duvets were thrown off the beds. We searched everywhere to find a radiator to manually turn the heat down, but there were none to be found. We had turned the thermostat on the wall right down an hour before going to bed. Yet the room was getting hotter throughout the night rather than cooling down. The beds did not help, they were the smallest single I’ve ever seen, my mother said she thought they’d stopped making the 2 foot ones when she was a child, but was certain that must be the size. We are average sized not on the light or heavy side. We both have BMIs in the normal range, so it was strange that the beds felt so small like we were falling out. I have had several spinal fusions, so I can definitely say if you have back problems the bed size will be an issue if you are an average size person. I am 5’4”. The mattress may be okay, not the best but certainly not a bad mattress for the back, but the constant near falling out of bed, making it impossible to change position frequently will affect you. My mother was so grumpy the following day. The heat from the room had given us blocked noses and stuffy heads. She had felt like she could not breathe at all, all night; she said she had not been able to sleep at all. This made her exhausted for several days. The cooked breakfast was very good with plenty of cereals and fruits to accompany it. Sadly, due to the experience of the heat and such a small room I would not recommend this B&B. However, the owners are lovely people.

I stayed as a solo visitor in the Temple Folly. It was a wonderful calm relaxing stay. The views were amazing both from the folly and the log fired hot tub. There was everything located in the folly you could wish for some discretely hidden in cupboards like the fridge and microwave. The log burning hot tub had been filled and lit prior to my arrival so it was ready to use. Nice touch artisan box of chocolates as a welcome. The farm shop and cafe close by were the Yurts are located was perfect for a leisurely lunch food and service were both excellent

The Jonas Centre caters for a wide variety of needs.
This is the second time we have been here. The first time was the premier cabins and the second was the standard due to availability. Both cabins are amazing. There is everything you could possibly need and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Everybody we can across on both visits were friendly and most importantly included my now 7 year old son in on conversations. As we were leaving on the Thursday a very friendly man told us not to rush in leaving as the cleaners were coming until Friday. This wasn’t the only person who said this and we felt it was a very nice touch. My two friends and son also came along each time and rented the cabin next to us. Well all loved it so much we will be booking again. The location is fantastic and we spent most of our time outdoors and visiting local attractions. Whilst it was closed on this visit I want to mention the forbidden corner it’s a family day must. Thank you again for an amazing break and we are looking forward to booking again.

What a lovely guesthouse and the hosts could not have been more accommodating, we had such a fabulous stay. The area is simply stunning and the bedroom was so comfortable. A special mention for the excellent breakfast, there was nothing the hosts could have done more for us, many thanks for a lovely time and best wishes for the future!

We can't rate this place highly enough, it is gorgeous and immaculately clean, our room was really spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Janet the owner is a lovely welcoming, friendly lady who also does a superb breakfast. It's set in a gorgeous village with plenty of pubs within walking distance and many places to eat, we will definitely be visiting again, loved our time here.
