Next door to the Mountain View Motel
Great restaurant, excellent hosts, waitress made us feel right at home, had a tasty Sirloin Steak, croquettes and salad, followed up by a sticky date pudding for me and chocolate pud for friend - highly recommend, well priced and food portions were very generous - very friendly staff here - give it a go, you wont be disappointed.

We have recently eaten at Whispers Cafe in Levin. Having breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Great meals, great variety, good amount of food and lovely friendly staff. This place seemed very popular at all times of the day over a 3 day period, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We had corn fritters with bacon and ciabatta toast for breakfast. Huge meal and very cheap we thought. And it was great to have homemade fritter. Not the mass produced frozen variety. In fact all food seemed to be be made on the premises. Highly recommended.
While staying in Levin stopped into Whispers for a coffee. As I have decaf coffee it is sometimes hard to get a good one. Great coffee and l also has a friand gluten free. Service was great and quick. I have given an excellent for Whispers but as I interior designer I am a little disappointed in the decor and colours. Outside needs a new paint job and please get rid of the half dead plants inside the entry. The interior colours need a refreshing, yellow was great in the 1980's but not now. You can still keep the feeling with an update with a new palette of colours and design.

Welcome back to a friendly environment and warm charm that is uniquely kiwi. We’ve been a icon of New Zealand dining since the beginning. You'll find a choice for everyone. All the way from a toddlers menu to a 2-course and 3-course set menu for our valued seniors. Having a function? We’ve got menus for that. Doing it on a budget? We’ve got menus for that too. Check out the Gluten-Free and Vegetarian options. Do we believe it’s important to serve to the best quality steak New Zealand has? Yes. AngusPure - the best beef in New Zealand. Don’t take our word for it. Do we make our own steak sauces? Yes. Are they perfected from decades of service to New Zealand guests. Yes.
We chose from the "Seniors" menu which is $28.95 for 3 courses. Expecting to get smaller portions, we were pleasantly surprised to receive normal-sized ones which were both very tasty and extremely good value, especially the pork roast.
The wine list is quite small but adequate, at very reasonable prices too (can't be much profit).
Plenty of staff on deck, all of whom were brilliant and friendly.
A great place for a great meal, that's for sure.

The 'Olds' decided to have lunch out today and visited Murrayfield just north of Levin on state highway 56. We have been there before and enjoyed our meal so it was an obvious choice for lunch. Staff were friendly, meal was delivered in time and it was tasty. Staff also listened and acted on a request for a particular ingredient not to be anywhere near my food. Spot on guys, we will be returning!

While the restaurant is available this is a regular stop for a takeaway for us. The rice is light and fluffy and the naan bread is warm and soft.
The curry is always good and they are quick and consistent with their service. This is well worth a look - particularly if you can have the cheap lunch!

I ordered 3 dishes on Saturday the 26th of Dec with my wife. The Tamarind Chicken was pretty good which we were quite happy with it. The Thai Laksa was only ok but the Yum (Thai beef salad) was quite out of our expectation as that wasn't tasty compare to other Thai beef salad I have had in the past. The service was ok though.

I've had coffee here once before. It's always busy and for good reason, quality food and coffee. I think they make all the counter food on site. The place has character with various rooms inside and out with nice garden settings outside.
Friendly staff and we'll timed service.
Started with a shared Spinache and Artichoke dip. Yum.
Both on a low carbs and low sugar push so opted for salads. Wife had Salmon Salad. She wondered if the salmon was from a can. We didn't ask; it tasted all right.
I had the Haloumi Salad. Very tasty although I thought the Haloumi needed a bit more cooking.
A glass of wine each as well to wash it down. Both had the cheesecake and it was yum.
I think this place is super.

Arrived just after lunch. Very friendly staff with good service. Ordered chicken Camembert salad, squid salad (very nice) and chicken avocado open Sandwich which had great fries. One of the best eateries in Levin region and you can shop at the garden centre too.

Focal Point Cinema is available for group functions, private bookings, conference groups, and children's birthday parties. A tasty buffet roast dinner or light finger food can be offered for group bookings. Out-catering services are also available.
As above. Ordered the Eggs Benedict for breakie. Good price, good service and a yummy breakfast. Eggs cooked perfectly and a good place for a hot drink. I wouldn't purchase any of the other breakfast items as they are small portions and overpriced.

We have been having takeaways from this little café more or less since it opened. Their food is top quality and tasty, and the vegetables are cooked perfectly and not soft. Friends from Gisborne accompanied us for a dine in meal here in May and thought it was the best Thai food that had had in years. Always consistent and delightful owners - I hope they are supported by the locals and passers by alike.
