I had just arrived off a long-haul flight and wanted to take my friend to lunch; by chance, we happened upon the Mandalay. It was a delightful experience, the service, food and wine and simply was not anticipated in Levallois-Perret. We both had risotto coquille St. Jacques; portions were ample, not too overwhelming, well prepared and very imaginative
The staff are young, creative and service is excellent. I am so pleased to have discovered Le Mandalay and will return next time I am in France

We went here while visiting my sister in Paris. The waiter spoke very good English and made us feel very comfortable. It is very small, 5-6 tables and they have a couple of dishes for each course available, all of which were very good. They also went to the trouble of making something for a little nephew who came along with us. Reasonably prices around 16 euro for main course.

We went early evening in September. Levallois-Perret because it’s close to where my wife works. The menu is a short list of very enticing French dishes. There was an extra main not on the menu
You can eat in or out depending on the weather. We ate in.
The staff of two were friendly and very efficient – serving and topping up glasses just when you needed.
Each course we chose was a delight. Portions were not too small, but don’t expect to come away stuffed either. As an aside, I think the amuse-gueule was not up to the standard of what was to follow
The only problem was the price. Between the two of us we had one menu and one à la carte; with aperitifs, a decent bottle of wine and a couple of mint teas it came to close to €150. That sort of budget is for us a once a year outlay and I suppose that Levallois-Perret may not be where you would spend it next time; nearer to €90 and we would

Just a small neighborhood bistro run by a husband and wife duo but the food was delicious and the service impeccable. The menu features many traditional french dishes such as foie gras, veloute de lentilles vertes, beef tartare, cassoulet, rumsteak all exceptionally executed and often with a unique twist by the chef. The wine was excellent as well and the owner was very welcoming and friendly and made excellent recommendations. I did not expect to find such a restaurant in this little residential neighborhood but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it very much

And they were pretty high expectations.
I went to La Cocotte for lunch after my coworkers had raved about it repeatedly and I was very pleased with my first visit. The gentleman manning the restaurant was incredibly knowledgeable of the ingredients making up the menu and clearly knew his wines as well.
Our starters were all lovely and we tried a few (terrine, crab remoulade, and escargot), but the best part was the mains. We collectively shared a cote de boeuf, tartare, duck breast, and lovely almond-encrusted fish. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared with the kind of service I want at any restaurant.
At the end, I was as pleasantly surprised by the bill. It's not an inexpensive place by any means, but the quality of food well-justified the cost. The do have a reasonably-priced lunch menu as well with a starter/main or main/dessert...I really wish I had saved room for dessert at the end, both options looked delicious.
I'm already looking forward to returning!

le meilleur rapport qualité prix à Levallois
What an unexpected surprise to find this tiny restauran in Levalloist. It was with some trepidation we entered as the concept of there being no menu seemed a bit strange even although we are used to things being "ardoise" more and more in France.
On our arrival we were very cordially greeted by the chef and waiter. At this point we were the only two people in the tiny restaurant which seats approx 22 people.
After taking the order for the aperitif the waiter then explained the concept of the restaurant asking if we had any particular dislikes or allergies. We were happy to be surprised by each course as it arrived. There was a delightful amuse-bouche of tomato gazpacho served as we waited for our first course. To our delight the first course was a fresh fried foie gras served with avocado. It was cooked to perfection. Following the foie gras another delight as another favourite arrived.... a beautifully cooked Magret de Canard with an absolutely delicious mousse of potato which was a light as air accompanied by a delicious sauce. Dessert proved to be another delight being a beautifully poached black fig on an almond sponge topped with spun sugar and a frozen yoghourt . Coffee was of an excellent quality and the wine "Petit Amour" was very drinkable. During the evening the atmosphere was very amicable as the restaurant filled up completely within a short period of time. It was interesting to observe the reactions of other patrons as they also awaited their culinary surprises with anticipation
Definitely a well kept secret of Levallois and perfect for that relaxed evening out with a special culinary twist. "Chapeau-bas" to the Chef and waiter for making this a special evening

My family and I visited this restaurant few days ago and to our surprise, the food was excellent and the service was beyond our expectation.
The lady boss was extremely kind and polite and patiently answered our questions regarding the dishes (since we were not local). Plus, she gave us a free plate of dessert after our meal.
Would definitely visit again!
Sincerely,

The french cuisine at its best at affordable prices. Of course not a Michelin restaurant but the food is very good and the service is also very good.

Great experience at the restaurant! We showed up at 9:30pm, 30 minutes before their posted closing time and we were seated promptly. We ordered a Vedi Vini Vini salad and a Formula 1 crepe. We followed up with a sugar lemon crepe for dessert and had their local craft beer (white) as a drink.
First off before I get into the food, the service was amazing. The menu was only in French so I needed to ask for a translation. The waiter translated every single savoury crepe for us! As well as the salads.
The food came hot and fresh, albeit a little slow because they were so slow. The salad was very fresh and naturally flavoured (read: not a lot of dressing, but not dry), and the chicken was grilled perfectly and not doused in sauces. The crepe itself didn't have a lot of flavour and the ingredients really stood out.
The dessert crepe came and I chatted with the server for a bit, before he left he checked the temperature and noticed it had dropped so he brought us a new one at no charge! As he said, the experience is better hot. Amazing service! And truly looking out for the customer experience.
Highly recommended if you're near champs-élysées and don't want to be ripped off with a tourist trap meal. 2 train rides away, about 20 minutes total.
