The only downside to stopping here to eat is that when you leave, you feel like you've stuffed yourself on Thanksgiving. We both got the buffet, but I'm sure ordering from the menu would help with the self restraint. We had a few minutes wait for the table, but it's worth it. They were busy, but kept refilling the buffet containers. There are many things to choose from including meats, veggies, salads, and desserts. If you don't like real food, you should probably stick with McDonalds. I saw people filling containers, so I guess take-out is an option. The server was friendly as was the hostess.

Smorgasbord buffet, menu dining, and take out meals. Nestled amid the Amish farmlands of Lancaster County, this Mennonite family-owned business features farm fresh meats, poultry, fruits and vegetables from nearby farms and Grandma Smucker's favorite Pennsylvania Dutch recipes. Family-friendly with a Noah's Ark Kids' Buffet and breakfast, lunch and dinner smorgasbords, this local favorite has been a landmark for more than 40 years.
My son and went to Lancaster for a few days for a break. The first place we ate was lunch at this restaurant. We have eaten here many times before and have never been disappointed. They are currently under renovations so the only things to choose from were the soup and salad bar, the deli bar and the hot buffet. We had the full buffet and it was very good, tasty and lots of options to choose from. My favorite is their homemade red devil's food cake with cream cheese icing. I will be anxious to see the changes they are making in the kitchen and counter service area. If you want good food at a fair price, this is the place to eat!

The name of the restaurant really says it all. It's upretentious, and both the food and staff are warm. We ate smorgasbord style, seated with a mixture of people (some local, some tourists like us) and really enjoyed everything. In fact the lunch was so hearty we didn't feel the need for dinner! The price was also excellent - we were given a coupon from someone who was leaving so we ended up paying around $15 per person - a steal considering the amount and quantity of food!
I especially enjoyed the buttered noodles and the fried chicken. The beets were amazing too. The apple cutter and creamed butter were delicious too. The desserts were fine but by the time they rolled around I had no more appetite!

This is my favorite Dunkin' Donuts in the world! Seriously. The owners are the most personable and friendly people in the world. The first time I visited I was with my two children and we had some drinks as we waited for my wife to meet up with us. The owner walked over and said he recognized us ... from talking to my wife who stops in about once a month! Talk about friendly. He asked if he could give my kids free ice cream to thank her for her business. WOW! Every establishment should be run with this much attention and commitment to excellence. This is why FAVORITE is in capital letters!

The Achenbach long john is one of the best bakery items in the area. My clients often request long johns if I am providing donuts for a meeting! There are several different icings available including chocolate and peanut butter. On Wednesday they often have a "wacky Wednesday" long john which are often cream filled!
I also enjoy the iced rings with raisins!
I've been enjoying Achenbach's pastries for at least 40 years and hope to enjoy them for many years to come!

Mr. Sticky's serves "extremely addictive" sticky buns ,cinnamon rolls and beverages from a take out window. We are located in the parking lot of Discover Lancaster Visitors Center. All bakery products are made fresh daily on an as needed basis on site. We are closed for the month of January and will reopen February 1 , weather permitting.
Wow. They were NOT fooling. People who had remarked about how good Mr. Sticky's sticky buns were (are)...had been touched by bakery Angels. These are the BEST god's honest truth. Watch out...these are addicting. Just sugar, butter and lots else.Be careful if you share with your friends...they will want them again and again and again! We appreciate your review and we're NOT fooling!

Family-owned & operated since 1972.
This is the place that MapQuest will take you to if you tap in bird in hand Pennsylvania. Their bake goods and snacks are the best. There’s farm animals that the kids can check. They have many high-quality crafts. We found the prices here slightly less than what was in the main town.

Smoked meats, unique flavor combinations, and sweet treats
Had breakfast here with close friends and LOVED it! The waitress was attentive and the choices were plentiful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is very fun with all the proverbs written on the walls. We were even offered a room to continue talking off the main dining room--wonderful idea for old friends to meet!
