The place is difficult to find unless you know it but it's definitely worth the short drive. Great local pasta - aftoudia and flomaria. The signature dish is rooster with flomaria - very tender. Tey also stifado. Salads and fava beans were less impressive. Very nice waiters and incredibly fast service.

Excellent Greek taverna in the village of Plati. Very busy with mainly Greek customers. Excellent food and atmosphere
Platy village has always been a meat-eater's paradise, featuring tavernas such as the legendary Kalouditsa or Zimbabwe. Sozos is known for its meat dishes, although seafood is also served. We liked everything we ordered, but the meat tended to be overcooked in all dishes. Service was a bit chaotic, but efficient at the end. The atmosphere is great, as the tables occupy a small open area among the narrow backstreets of Platy. Recommended for at least one visit.

Excellent food and service. Located nearly to the centre of Myrina with privet parking. One can spend their whole day at Manos enjoying the morning sun and sea at the organized beach as well as the great dishes for launch or dinner. It is remarkable that the served bread is hand made by Manos' mother and really feels like home. A friendly place with its tables either on a wooden deck or on the sand, under the trees which combines a first class food quality and warm hospitality. Extra tip for night visitors who will have the pleasure to enjoy the view of lighted castle of Myrina

This is one of several fish "tavernas" along the bayside in Kotsinas. Wet weather kept us in the inside portion of the restaurant but we still had a nice view of the small bay and local fishing boats, which probably provided our meal. I had a very tasty swordfish, my wife a very large portion of fried squid, and another very good shrimp. One was disappointed in his sardines. The service was prompt and friendly, and I thought the prices surprisingly low for such a nice meal.

We stopped by on a sunny afternoon. There were hardly any customers, but the setting was peaceful and shady, so we took a chance. We ordered drinks, zucchini fritters, black-eyed pea salad, and fries. It was pleasant experience, though the food was nothing special.

In the middle of Lyxna village, almost in the middle of nowhere in Limnos, a taverna set up that aims at not serving taverna food although completely mimic to it.
Prefer the yard behind the church if you like more privacy and rectangular comfortable tables than small round coffee shop ones
First impression: indie music! Not the right music for a greek taverna or even a wannabe modern taverna. Tiring music, monotonous and completely out of space. Thankfully at 20.00 they changed, not very thankfully though because it was Sinatra like Christmas mood songs! Still better than Indie.
Second impression: kind and alert staff, resented daily plates (some missing though after chef read her lips and corrected the selection!
Opted for steamed vlita with rusk and kalathaki local cheese, and kavourma. The waitress said they will take some time to prepare, therefore they were ready in 10 minutes. Well, if you want to take vlita as salad to share with one or more as a starter (usually the case of salads), do not do it: quantities are rather small, and vlita even less, covered with a huge piece of cheese and a big rusk that you will never be able to cut, unless you have a good dentist around. Guys, either water the rusk a bit, or marinate it in olive oil (which by the way you should also add in this dish!). Steamed vlita is a good thought, needed a bit more time though as they were rather hard.
As for the kavourma, this was a full dish: three eggs enough meat and some fresh tomato nicely cut in small cubes on top. I would prefer smoked kavourma and in smaller pieces because it resembled to meat with eggs in the pan, and the kavourma did not have this itchy smoked taste that makes him so unique. Not sure also you used olive oil in the pan, it was extremely light color, like sunflower oil (if so, such a shame guys). Furthermore you went too far with the meat that could not be digested all night.
Bread that came along was homemade and exquisite! Kudos to the baker.
Drinks wise: took tsipouro which thankfully was cold. Huge problem and fail: an extremely dirty glass you brought. Sorry but these details make a great difference and destroy your greatest ambitions to become a modern resto in Greece. It just turns you into a miserable village canteen of the '60s. Fail guys, huge fail. The waitress apologized for that and brought clean glass but still perception is reality.
Thought to try a dessert, tried the chocolate cheesecake. Well, it was not a cheesecake as there was no cheese at all, or something to refer to a cheesecake except the digestive biscuits base. Hard chocolate while it should have been a beautiful light creamy foam, no spices in while you could add even a pinch of pepper or sea salt or orange to raise the taste. On the contrary you added cherry sweets on top and made it even sweeter. Yes, there was also a scoop of vanilla ice cream next to it, but unfortunately it was full of water ice pieces: super fail again.
Small detail too: the waiters swept the yard and 19.30 with half of it full with clients! You should have cleaned before opening, dear owners, not during working hours in a resto. Fail again.
Bill was fair enough, €22.
Overall: although it has been extremely advertised, menu is limited as are the daily choices. You do nit get the magic touch expected. You get something different and promising but the promise is broken on the first try. Could have been a bit more caring about their clients and the quality of the food as well as for cleaning the place and glasses.
Good to go once, not to go twice: unfortunately, they do not invest in satisfaction that will lead to loyalty. Just pretentious with PR connections in some greek media. Sorry dear owners, in food industry it is food quality and service that counts, not PR in local media friends

Our clipper ship cruise dropped us off in Myrina for the afternoon. After climbing up to the fortress we were exhausted, hungry, and thirsty. My wife and I ordered traditional Greek salads at Sto Kastro. We've enjoyed salads at other Greek island restaurants but these were exceptional. A large flat piece of feta cheese covered fresh greens and huge, juicy tomatoes. Bread and a Mythos draft beer topped off an outstanding lunch. Plus...free, fast Wi-Fi and a great view of the harbor.

!―original Greek Food
We are still sitting finishing our lunch at this fabulous friendly local restaurant. The food is great. We just had feta and tomato baked in a clay pot as well as roasted peppers. Then we had the best tender fried calarami. Delicious. Now the waitress brought us a dish of fresh yogourt with a local fruit (quince) pureed on top. Wow!
When we came a few days ago we had prawns in tomato and pepper and cheese. Also wonderful.
The bill today was 25 euros and that includes drinks. Great value for 2 people.
Highly recommended!!!
