Great stay

we booked last minute and weren't disappointed. We were greeted with a friendly professional lady and got checked in quickly. We had to change our room due to an unforeseen issue and this very satisfactorily done in a timely manner. The new room was perfect. As a measure of goodwill, we received a discount on our bill. Well done ! We ate a hearty breakfast both days & 1 dinner and I'm pleased to say the quality of the food was fabulous, with generous portions. We were very impressed with Jamie for our archery session, he was funny and patient and we learned a lot from him. The library area of the hotel is lovely to sit down and have a quiet chat/read with a few drinks/snacks. The wifi is not the quickest but that doesn't matter when you have all the outdoor activities to experience. Hope to return soon !

Lovely B&B for families

Josephine is a lovely host, so is the house. It‘s a great base for an active family vacation. We hiked Croagh Patrick and the Connemara NP, visited Inishbofin Island and Kylemore Abby. The kids loved a visit to the Killary Fjord sheep farm. Speaking of sheep, the B&B place is surrounded by them.

Great family holiday

Reviewed By AoifeD979

We are a large family of 28 and so we find it difficult to get something suitable for everyone. Killary Lodge ticked all the boxes. It was in a great location with the most spectacular views, it has 10 bedrooms and all have their own toilet and shower room, it had a very large kitchen area, and great outdoor space. We could get the boy our wetsuits and walk to the adventure centre, ready to start our booked adventures. We don’t the water park and SUP board (best laugh ever) and we done some other Killary challenge thing that was good fun too. House has constant hot water in all rooms, towels are provided and the washing machine and dryer came in very handy. We loved staying there and will try to visit again. We used Connemara Coastal Lettings to book and Siobhan was absolutely amazing with us. She was a great help and found us the perfect holiday home and answered all of our very many questions. Leenan is a village just down the road and Tony the taxi driver brought us there and back so we could have a glass of wine with our meal. We got Tony’s number from the lads at the adventure centre who were always very helpful. Only thing I would suggest is signage for the house. Every day we got at least 1 or 2 people walking past the adventure centre and up to the house and trying to walk straight into the house..... it says at the start of e one that it is private property but that didn’t stop people. They seemed to think it was either a coffee shop or some sort of open accommodation. So proper signage at the actual house would be a great benefit. Oh and if you do stay here, you can get clear drinking water from the adventure centre, just bring your empty bottles to be refilled. We look forward to returning. Thanks for for a great, memorable holiday.
