Something for everyone on the menus and the servers do a good job explaining the dishes. The entrees are fantastic, and well executed. Sauerbraten Jagerschnitzel with a variety of sauces/toppings were tender, flavorful, and visually enticing. Red Cabbage and Spatzle were excellent. Most of the dishes were hits and we did have a few misses. The service overall was acceptable, and the younger staff could have used a little more training. It was a busy night for the floor.

Wanted to see what all of the fuss is about. Can’t explain it! The food was average at best. The steamed clams are good. Lobster was okay, a little dry and barely legal size. The tossed salad was horrible. Yellow iceberg, a couple of tomatoe slices and an onion slice. Steak was okay. Nothing really looked appetizing or appealing. Drinks were cheap. The ambiance is unexplainable. Both dining areas are surrounded by hundreds of wildlife heads and mounted fish. At first it’s amusing, but becomes a little creepy considering all of these beautiful dead animals and the amount of money that was spent to present them this way. We’ve seen better tables and chairs at bingo! Service was good. Satisfied our curiosity. Will not go back.

We were the first to arrive on a Thursday night around 5:30 pm. The service staff were replacing bulbs in what we were told were new light fixtures. The maitre'd (or owner? not sure) greeted us warmly and welcomed us to the restaurant. He is the one who told us about the new lighting. Enrique was our waiter and seemed to be the waiter for at least five or so tables - assisted with a large staff who served - and then another waiter jumped in. Very capable, very attentive. It seemed that most of the other diners were regulars. Also in the time we ordered quite a few people headed to the bar. We had the veal osso bucco ($42) which was a Fred Flintstone size portion served with pasta and veggies. Also had the shrimp with wild mushrooms, asparagus, and sun-dried tomatoes ($23.50) in a pernod sauce with parmesan mashed potatoes and veggies (carrots/broccoli). Salad is included. Also great bread which we did a number on - some with butter and some with olive oil that Enrique was kind enough to offer us. Then had cappuccino ($5) and got several delicious little biscotti. The new lighting created a nice, warm cozy ambiance - not sure what the old lighting was like....but atmosphere is very nice. Tables are far enough apart that you can have a conversation and have it be private.

I have heard so many great reviews about the Roxbury Diner I guess my expectations were very high. We got there Sunday night and the way it is when you walk in you have people waiting to pay and waiting to also be seated so there is not any real order. We had to ask the people around us which they were waiting to do before we could get seated so we weren't cutting in front of anyone. Server came right away and was very friendly and helpful. That was a positive. Maybe I should have ordered a breakfast item instead of the chicken fingers because they were hard as a rock. No flavor, nothing. I ordered a grilled cheese also with bacon and that was fine. Hard to mess that up. My boyfriend ordered a burger and it came out with ham on it. He definitely received the wrong order but he took the ham off and he ate the burger and thankfully it was cooked the right way. We didn't send it back (golden diner rule)The server came back to check on us and was attentive. The strangest part was on the way out some guy and his girlfriend looked like they were fighting by the checkout but in actuality the guy was "fuming" because he said one of the servers or someone who worked there was making fun of his American Flag shorts(which in itself was a bit comical). A manager (or possibly the owner) finally took the guy outside to talk with him before he embarrassed himself and made a scene but it was a bit ridiculous he even had to do that. Overall, this was an average night and I could take it or leave it in the future.

I went on a Friday night when the place was busy. Despite this the service was prompt. My brisket was great but my ribs a bit dry. Baked beans were to die for. Fries were fine but the portion was very small. There was an...MoreHi Complicated Disaster, Thank you for visiting Hot Rod's Real Pit BBQ! After stopping at two other places during a recent business trip as we looked for a decent place to eat, we stumbled upon Carmine's after calling our hotel for a recommendation.
We were the only people there as it was early and dinner hadn't really started yet, but they didn't mind. The staff was super friendly and the food was great! The warm bread and butter was very welcomed after a long day in the rain.
Excellent!

I've heard all kinds of good things lately about Cambiotti's so I just had to try this place. I'm always in search of different food and I heard their tomato (pizza) pies were unique. Well they are. Different because they have a little tomato sauce and cheese design on them. The pies claim they are thin crust. Not sure how they claim that because mine wasn't too thin. Actually it was just an average crust that was quite bland. The pizza pie in itself wasn't very good. It tasted kind of bland and to be honest, this pizza is below average for the area of NJ it is in. There are tons of pizza places around the area here and this one, unfortunately, isn't one of the good ones. I'll go elsewhere the next time I'm in the mood for pizza.

Have been coming to Sandwiches Unlimited for years and this visit, with my family was pleasant and everyone loved their sandwich choice. Sean and LeeAnn, the owners, could not have been nicer and gave great service along with the fresh and tasty sandwiches, salads and the dill pickle included. Plan to return for many years to come.
