Decided to try this place after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. It was a warm night so we sat outside and as more people arrived the seating area was extended along the pavement. Menu was all in French which is always a good sign though it can be a bit challenging sometimes. Rob had sea bass in coconut and pepper sauce and I had lamb shank. Both beautifully cooked and presented. We had ordered a side salad but in fact a salad came with the meal so the extra salad went back without a murmur. Got into conversation with a French couple at the next table - his English was only slightly better than our French so it was a very enjoyable experience getting to know each other. His son has just started work in the restaurant. All the staff were helpful and efficient. Very good value for money.

Very Good address, weekends it is necessary to have a reservation. Simple dishes very well prepared we had steaks, seafood, snails,foie gras, choucroute. All copious and tasty. Nice little local beer. Honest wines by the glass. Service irréprochable for a busy Saturday night. Will definitely return.

You might easily walk past this restaurant but it is quite informal and welcoming within (better than it looks on the website). We had the five course Menu d'ichite at â¬35, starting with an amuse bouche, followed by perfectly cooked tempura de langoustines aux parfums d'ici et d'ailleurs, accompanied by an absolutely delicious mayonnaise. Another diner had profiterole d'escargots au camembert et pommeau for a starter. This was followed by a house sorbet, with Calvados apple jelly (le fameux trou normand), a main course of filet de boeuf au camembert rôti et sa crème au calvados (the fillet steak properly cooked blue), or magret de canard aux saveurs du Périgord (although marginally over-coooked, with a slice of foie-gras and a delicious sauce). Then a choice from six local cheeses (some could have been a little riper), followed by dessert: an excellent soufflé glacé Bénédictine et chocolat blanc and a lovely tarte sablée abricot pistache (with apricots and pitachios, not too sweet). With a good bottle of Crochet Sancerre rouge, plus pastis and Kir Normand to start, the bill came to a very reasonable â¬151 for three. Excellent friendly service. A very enjoyable relaxed meal. At this price it's five star.

We had time for a meal before getting the ferry so chose La Voile Bleue on the basis of some very good TripAdvisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. The food was very good: langoustines starter for me and fish soup for husband. Then moules frites for main course. Excellent chips, tasty mussels. So it's basic bistro fare but done very well. When we got there just before 7 when they start serving food, there were lots of people outside and only one person serving so we feared it might be a while before we got anything to eat or drink. But no, the young man serving seemed to be able to pull off the trick of being in several places at once, all while looking cool and stopping to sit down from time to time for a chat with the regulars. He was joined in due course by an older man, also very good. The restaurant is just a bit on the scruffy side. The table was grubby and crumb-y when we got there and none of the tables had been set up for dinner. Don't expect any fine dining, but as a place for a decent bistro style meal I can recommend it.

Excellent food, well presented and reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite small, but the owners serve up really nice dishes from a tiny kitchen. Really friendly and welcoming. 3 course menu for â¬29. Hand written bills!

Had a diner for 2 with great snaails as starters accompanied by a nice glass of white wine. The cote a l'os was superb, well cooked, well cut and presented. Its almost 60 euro's but worth every euro. The chef's choice of wine, excellent as with the starters. Desert although not planned, as we were nearly stuffed was strawberries with pine apple and blue berry icecream. Well done chef!

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, like the 16 odd open on the beach promenade during the extended summer months. Food is reasonable, quantities are just about right. Surprising, creative, tasty... a great experience for an evening with friends or simply a table for 2. The chef has been quite imaginative in designing the card and the taste will just impress you. The place is actually tiny and could get busy quickly. Make sure you reserve a table. You can choose between 2 different menus according to your budget and even mix the entrees. The restaurant is easily accessible, located downtown and you can park in the street nearby. A place for gourmets!

This is a bite of home away from home, the food is very tasty. You can find bacalhau, leitao and pasteis de natas. A selection of typical Portuguese dishes to light yourself with. I come to regularly stock myself on the goodies :)

Gosh - at the best of times French cuisine can flatter to deceive. This place gave it to you straight between the eyes. Yesterdayâs chips served with a sparrowâs arse of a chicken breast fried to its pitiful death and served in a teaspoonful of nondescript sauce. Surely a yardstick for not giving a **** about your customer
