Located on the northeastern coast of the Samana Peninsula, Las Terrenas offers miles of protected inshore waters and beautiful, undeveloped white-sand-beaches, lined with tall palm trees and pastel-colored fishing boats. Trade winds and the warm temperature of the sub-tropical Atlantic Ocean bring this part of the island year-round balmy weather. With a year-round average of 77 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperatures vary only 18 degrees between summer and winter.

On the beachfront in the center of the place is one of the most popular restaurants in the area where the owner, father and daughter Italian managers with a wonderful staff. The menu is inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. Wonderful service. The seafood is excellent, but the octopus is especially tasty. A selection of good wines

Casa Azul won't win any awards for decor but you can't beat the location right on the beach. Literally the front tables are on the sand facing the ocean. It is clear they have followed the papa johns approach of better ingredients means better pizza - we have tried many of their pizzas and always find the toppings to be fresh and plentiful. Example: the serrano ham/prosciutto and fresh basil really add flavor. Same with the Italian salad. Throw in a couple of ice cold presidentes and the bill is never more than $25! Hint: bring bug spray to fend off the ants in the sand but don't let that deter you - we have eaten at the other pizza places and Casa Azul is clearly the best!

Mojito's is still the best on the beach - great drinks with happy hour specials, consistently good food and of course the view and the SUNSETS!! If you don't want the soccer TV bars in town or looking for somewhere that's just cool (Hey Carlos, love the new overhead fans!), head over to the end of Playa Punta Popi, always plenty of parking at the beach front area!

This place is unique in term of decoration : half outside half covered. Feels like being in the French riviera under the trees. Food is excellent and menu is not over price. The owner is nice and makes sure you are enjoying the moment. I'll return (and already have multiple times)

An amazing and unique beachfront bar and lounge located in the famous Pueblo de Los Pescadores, One Love offers a departure from the mainstream! This hotspot is open to the beach and also embraces a covered dining area and bar. Relax seaside in the oversized swing or sink into the reclaimed wooden boat while enjoying a handcrafted cocktail. Savour North American food dishes with a twist, eat a little or eat a lot from the pub style menu. Watch your favourite sports and movies on the big screen and TVs, play a game of pool with your friends and relax. One Love is the only establishment that features a daily evening Happy Hour from 5-8 pm with 2 for 1 drinks and specialty menu features (want breakfast at dinner time...we can do that!). With new Canadian owner/operators, One Love is open dailiy from 2pm until the late hours of the night.
This is a tough review because it's hard to be objective. We went on a rainy December night, and while we started on the beach Seating (great view!), we moved to the bar to avoid getting wet.
We met the Canadian owners and chatted with the friendly and accommodating staff. They run a casual spot that offers good food in a low-key atmosphere. They all get a solid 4 out of 5 -- it's a Very Good restaurant.
Here's the challenge: all the food is prepared fresh from the small kitchen, and when the food runs out -- it runs out. It's nice that you know everything is fresh, but you take a bit of a risk if you're there later in the night. We also had a to wait a bit for our food, because it was so busy at that particular time. It's disappointing to not get what you want, so for this particular visit, I'd probably say the experience was 3.5 out of 5.
The night we visited, a tourist (we're tourists too -- but this guy was OBVIOUSLY acting like it) thru a fit about either the wait or the lack of availability or something. He berated the server, reducing her to tears. While I hated that it happened, I loved seeing not only the staff console her, but the other patrons (some locals, some visitors) stand up and try to calm the guy and support the server.
So -- at ONE LOVE, you get really good people taking care of their staff and their visitors. I would go back just to support their casual, friendly and supportive vibe. Sure -- it's a limited menu and you may have to go to your second (or third, or fourth) choice -- but if you can come for good drinks, nice people and good view of the beach -- it's TOTALLY worth it.
ALSO -- one of the first places in Las Terranas to get craft beer, so when you're tired of El Presidente, go here!

We went for our last night dinner Drove around looking for a place to eat and ended up in La Dolce Vita. I was a little disappointed, mistakenly thinking a Italian restaurant equaled an Italian menu only, but was nicely surprised with a variety of international dishes. Nice atmosphere, great food, and excellent service, and super affordable.

The dishes you will find in our menu are a combination of traditional Italian cuisine, the new international flavors that culinary fashion brings us and memories of the fantastic Dominican cuisine. We want to offer you family warmth and a cozy place.
We stayed here at Alisei a few years ago and really enjoyed the food at baraonda. You're paying for the beachfront location and hotel amenities but the food now is not 5 star. I had the imported beefsteak which was a little tough; my wife had the mariscos soup and liked it. Still hoping to find a good caprese salad in LT and this wasn't a contender, mozzarella not fresh enough. Really pleasant setting and attentive service.
