Took a trip with the family to DC and chose this hotel based on the close proximity to DC, as well as the nice swimming pool. The kids could care less about DC and just kept asking "when can we go to the hotel and swim?" After checking in at 4:45, I asked when the pool closed, and I was told 8pm but I needed reservations. Apparently you have to reserve an hour of swim time and you can't get more than that. We opted for 5-6 and kids were having so much fun but like clockwork at 6pm an employee comes through and asks you to leave. We were hopeful to swim the next morning before checkout but the pool didn't open until 12 (checkout was 11). The permanent signage in the pool area said pool hours were 6am to 10pm, but in reality is was 12pm to 8pm. Other than this the hotel was ok but 1 elevator was broken and stairs led to pool area so you couldn't get to them. We also didn't receive our chocolate chip cookies at checkin so I guess they are cutting back.

Clean room and warm service. Everyone at the hotel is very polite and kind. The room is clean and no issues at all. The ice machine seems out of order but no biggie. The breakfast offers variety of choices and the staff keep replenishing through out the time. Can't ask for the better.

They were pros and cons to our stay over memorial day weekend 2022. I shared some concerns with Latyre at checkout and she was completely indifferent. Later I heard her whining and moaning to her coworker about how much she hated her job. I also sent the below email to the manager, April, but never got a response. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. “We have been with you since Thursday evening in room 401. There have been some pros and cons of our stay that we wanted to tell you about it and are happy to post a TripAdvisor as well per your invitation. The girl at the front desk on Thursday evening was very friendly And made us feel very welcome. She and my wife hit it right off. I thought the breakfast items were delicious and there was a good variety of food. The beds are also very comfortable. The biggest complaint is that our room sleeps five, not six, since the sofa sleeper is a twin. This is different than what the Priceline website showed. We made our reservation with you based on the understanding that there was room for six people to sleep either on a bed or the sofa sleeper. We even entered our kids’ ages, yet the room did not really sleep six, only five. This was disappointing. On Friday Night, we looked forward to an enjoyable pool visit and had a great time at the pool. However, there were no pool towels, and when we asked for towels to be restocked, none were brought. My wife and kids walked through the hallways cold and dripping. The toilet paper holder is broken in the room. No blankets and no extra pillows on Friday or Saturday either, even though we asked for some to be brought to our room. There was one disappointing aspect to the breakfast experience. You were out of 3-4 breakfast items both Friday and Saturday. Today at 8:40 am, there were no bagels, no yogurts, no eggs, and two turkey sausages left. I waited 10 minutes before more food was brought out. At 9:20, My wife waited 30 minutes today before more eggs were brought out. If we were in a hurry this morning, we would’ve been stuck with cold cereal. The staff does not seem to be able to keep some breakfast foods in stock with the current occupancy rate.”

Ugh. We were displaced by a fire. Jesus that is a horrible thing to go thru. The second most horrible thing is to stay in this hotel Our insurance company got this room for us. The room was nice enough for me my husband and 2 cats. Cleaning (in the room) was almost not existent. You are supposed to get cleaning every 4 days. We were never scheduled for it. According to the housekeepers our room was always 'stay' even though we needed cleaning. Why? Who knows. We have to chase them for towels, toilet paper coffee etc. Everyone has an attitude except for Chris and another manager. The VPN does not work. If you are a fed or contractor you can't work from the room unless you have your own portable internet. Pool was closed for most of the time and when it was open it was super cold. Management specially a lady manager that works on Saturdays are extremely rude and unprofessional. Our keys were also deactivated several times. The most bizarre thing that happened in this hotel however was the bad interaction I had with a woman in the breakfast area. So I was of course traumatized by the fire and me and my husband went to get food (this was our 2nd day in. We stayed for over 2 weeks). I took a serving spoon and started putting some eggs on my plate. This Spanish lady comes out of their kitchen screaming " don't use that serving spoon" like a mad person. I understand some places have strict policies but the yelling over something so minor was so inappropriate. I told the front desk she was very rude. The next day the same woman started yelling at me " good morning!!!" I did not reply took my food and left. The following day she was speaking to another guest telling her about "the miserable guest that complained about her" while we were serving our food (she was speaking Spanish and I am fluent on Spanish so i could understand everything) within earshot. I was like wow why is she talking about me with other guests. Fast forward to last Saturday we came down around 9:30 am and she took all the breakfast food away and denied us the food we wanted. I asked why she said breakfast ends at 9:30 am which was not true it ends at 10. I asked the manager and he said it ends at 10 am. But because I guess I was the miserable guest that complained to food for me. Ok All this to say if you have to stay in a place for a long time because of an emergency do not stay here. We are leaving today it was a bad experience but we were limited because we have cats.
