Rovaniemi (Finnish: [roʋɑˈniemi] ( listen)) is a city and municipality of Finland. It is the administrative capital and commercial centre of Finland's northernmost province, Lapland. It is situated about 6 kilometres (4 miles) south of the Arctic Circle and is between the hills of Ounasvaara and Korkalovaara, at the confluence of the river Kemijoki and its tributary, the Ounasjoki. The city and the surrounding Rovaniemen maalaiskunta (Rural municipality of Rovaniemi) were consolidated into a single entity on 1 January 2006. The new municipality has an area of 8,016.75 square kilometres (3,095.28 sq mi), thus making it the largest city in the European Union by land. Rovaniemi has an approximate population of 62,000.

We were greeted very friendly and the waiter was very helpful with the menu. Within 10 minutes we were standing outside with reasonably priced takeaways. The dishes were delicious and had a depth of flavor I did not expect from a Chinese restaurant in Lapland! The servings were too large though so we unfortunately didn't finish it all. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Decided to go here on our last day in Rovaniemi, as soin as you stepped ibside you could smell the amazing spices. It eas easy, cose a table, pay at the counter and all you can eat. There was so much to chose from. Very popular place with the locals and even though it was a little busy, they kept up with the food requirements. A beautiful mango smoothie as well. I think the food could of have more spice but I do love a hot curry. Yes the decor is not amazing but you do go for the good food and service!

Service here is poor. I had to catch the waiters attention more than once to order. I had to ask several times for plates, cutlery and napkins as my table was bare even though I made a reservation. I ordered a pork and tofu dish which had no pork, even though the waitress insisted that there was and the sizing of our soup was small.Taste was ok but not the best

We visited Rang Mahal for dinner during our stay at Rovaniemi. IT's a very good Indian restaurant.The buffet diner was excellent. I liked their preparation of roti (Indian bread). Well cooked. Each vegetable was tasty. Good variety of salad. I was very happy to drink butter-milk in Rovaniemi there! Fantastic. The taste of coconut based ice-cream provided for desert was quite mouth watering. Their service was outstanding. They were paying personal attention to every guest and ensuring that the guest is happy while they leave the hotel. Service with smile always makes one feel great.Its worth a visit while in Rovaniemi.
