We were staying at the Nangu Wilderness Lodge outside of town and decided to visit Ivalo for a few hours to get sense of village life in Lapland. Our lunch at Kultahippu was very nice. I had the "Reindeer Pasta" which was a creamy sauce of reindeer meat over pasta noodles, and a local beer. The food was very nicely prepared, and service was fast and efficient. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to find yourself in Ivalo at lunch time.

In addition to the delicious Lappish cuisine prepared by our master chef, our main restaurant offers a peaceful view on the River Ivalo. The restaurant has 200 seats and can be divided into three separate areas if needed.
