We were looking for a place to have lunch at Kittilä and found Herkkutupa right on the main street. Their lunch cost less than 8 euros and consisted of soup and a versatile salad buffet, topped with coffee/tea and dessert. I was happily surprised that they let you to choose a piece of quiche instead of soup, which broadens the options (good especially for vegetarians). Pleasant atmosphere and good value for money for those looking for a balanced, healthy lunch.

Hola amigos! Mexican restaurant Taqueria Northern Cowboy is open! Reindeer tacos & tequila. Arctic street food & fine drinks. cold beer & red necks. Mexican kitchen delicacies with traditional mexican street food. Snackable nachos and salsa, bite a soft t
I had a reindeer soft taco, which were really great. My partner had chicken tacos and liked them too very much. These portions would not be big enough for a hungry man, but for us they were perfect.Service could have been better. Ok, but not great.

The Break Sokos Hotel Levi's restaurant Kiisa is like the treasure chest of Lappish wife. It serves wide variety of local delicacies, such as grayling caught from the nearby brooks, salmon soup, sauteed reindeer and squeky cheese.
My family (2 adults and 2 children) had a New Year eve dinner in this place. I got a 'nice' addition to my starter -- a piece of plastic. The staff did not even properly apologize for this and offered no compensation (just the starter that I barely touched was taken away and not included in the bill). The food otherwise was average and well over-priced. The service was slow and not particularly friendly. Eventually I understood why this place was mostly empty, when other places in Levi were fully booked for the NY eve. Avoid at all costs!!!

In the courtyard of the Hotel K5 Levi is an authentic Sámi turf gammi or hut built into the ground. With its unique atmosphere, the Sámi Gammi offers traditional Lapland delicacies by an open fire. Exotic joikha music and tales of Lapland accompany dinner
We have had a similar experience elsewhere but this was far superior. Neither the meal nor drinks are cheap but it was excellent both as a meal and an experience. Staff are very pleasant and translation is available at most stages. Starters and desserts are served to you but the main dishes are collected from the buffet. You are encouraged to try the salmon first and then return for the meat dishes and accompaniments. Reindeer was available in several forms and it was all beautifully cooked and tender. If you take a little to try, nobody minds if you return for full portions of what you find you enjoy. The vegetables in honey were very tasty too. Coffee is served at the end of the meal when the sami entertainment finishes the evening. Although it is easy to appreciate the music and performance, explanation at this stage did not come with a translation.

During my business trip, I was staying in centrally located Hotel Hullu Poro(=Crazy Reindeer) and this restaurant is right there. Cozy looking interior, friendly service and real tasty dinner. I took a menu, which had Reindeer Rillette as a starter, tasty perch as a main course and then Ice Cream and coffee as a dessert. Definitely worth of visit

It had been a while since my latest review, and I thought I was done with this TripAdvisor "hobby". Also, we had been avoiding eating here for no specific reason although we have spent a couple of evenings upstairs in the pub. Now I am sorry of not eating at Panimo before! We both chose grilled reindeer calf - just because it sounded both exotic and "suspicious". However, we thought that it can't be all bad, because it's on the menu. And what an excellent choice it was! It was so good that we wanted to eat it so slow as possible. Also, our waiter knew his job. Despite his young age, he was a pro with a capital p. We asked him to recommend a wine with the dish, and he did not only do that, but asked if he can surprise us, and then came to our table with a bottle of Spanish red wine that cannot be found from the local stores, and also, he told us about the origins of the wine in detail. Top service in every way! We will be happy to have another dinner at Panimo any time when visiting Levi!

Jängällä is open every day from 5pm until 11pm and welcomes everyone to enjoy delicious handcrafted flavors from modern Lappish cuisine.
We visited Jängällä on my husband's birthday. I had made a reservation with a special wish of having sparkling wines on arrival. That was arranged, and surprisingly the wine suited very well the complimentary mushroom soup. Every other food in the 4 course menu were excellent, and although the portions were not big, we didn't have to consider any other place to eat afterwards. The total amount of food was sumptuous! The staff was also friendly and extremely professional. Indeed - this was the first visit to a restaurant, where I felt truly grateful of the overall experience and the chance of having such great food!Hi Anu. We are very pleased to hear about your positive experience here at Jängällä restaurant. We wish to see you guys soon. :)

Restaurant Pihvipirtti (Steakhouse) feeds your heartâs desire Never been to Levi before? Why not start as so many have for years. The dinner in Restaurant Pihvipirtti (Steakhouse) has become a tradition for so many. Since Valentineâs Day 1999, this homely
Food was so amazing we inhaled it and I forgot to take pictures. If you like smoked fish, youâll love their salad bar. Everything was amazing! Nordic surf and turf for sure. Lots of smoked fish and perfectly cooked steak. You MUST try the garlic potatoes.

We made a reservation for the restaurant, and we asked for the availability of the table on the second floor by the window. The resturant confirmed the request and said arrangement will be made. After arriving at the resturant, we waited for about 20 minutes to be served at the front desk. Then we were taken to a table on the ground floor. We told them we have a reservation on the second floor, and we wait for another 5 minutes to be taken to the second floor. But the table hadnât been cleaned so we were transferred back to the front again and wait. The food was fairly good, I agree with other reviews that the portion was a little too small. But it tastes good. Personally, the price is fair, it was just the rather messy arrangement that make the whole experience average.
