Paksong cafe' Place for rest We hope customer will enjoy and happy, when you choose to come and enjoy with us and free WiFi. Thank you.
We stopped here for coffees and food. Very surprising place: tasteful interior that could have been of a coffee shop in NYC (with some imagination...). The service was extremely friendly and the food really good, surprisingly so because there really aren't many options out here. Pizzas are excellent and Lao or Thai dishes as well. Clean toilets. Sorry for the lame pictures of my car on the parking lot and my daughter taking a picture of me.

Many restaurants in Pakse offer some Lao, Thai, Vietnamese, and European. We didn't find nearly as many that helped you sort through it all like Xuanmai Restaurant. With suggested meals by location or allowing you to order individually, it was easy to get what you want. My husband and I both had soups and found them very tasty. Preferred even to DaoLin even though it doesn't get the same food traffic based on location.
In the 4000 islands, southern laos (120km from Pakse), The view restaurant welcomes you for an unforgettable moment with delicious lao food : Fresh Mekong fish and other asian specialities. The special location of the restaurant give a spectacular view on
For a restaurant that is off the main road, it has a menu with a reasonable range of choices. The seating area is extensive and there is plenty of space. Even during peak season, you would find very few guests eating there, as there are cheaper places to eat outside the park, on the main road, so you could choose where you wish to sit.It is possible to sit and dine just in front of the majestic Khone Phapheng Waterfalls. However, although one can hear the falls, one cannot see the panoramic view from the dining area, due to the vegetation (mainly trees) obscuring the view of the main falls, which is a pity.Kind of expensive, even by the expensive Laotian standards but the portions are reasonable good-sized.The Lao people like their chillies, so be very clear when you are ordering something. If you are not used to spicy food and wish to order something spicy, make sure you order the low-spice or mild version of the dish. The restaurant staff are non very conversant in English, so make sure your message is understood, or else be ready with several bottles of chilled water to soothe your tongue and throat!

Taste delightful Thai-Chinese-Laos-western menus with fresh organic vegetables and Mekong River fishes.
We just left the waterfall, my thighs were screaming, it started raining hard, SabaiiDee Valley Restaurant came into view. I needed the rest, I needed the energy. So we stopped. I see it is more than just a restaurant, it also have a mini mart and souvenirs shop and villas to rent with a nice swimming pool. I learned the place is owned my Ubon singing legend, Tai Orathai. The food on the menu was mostly Thai. It wasn't street food cheap but it wasn't expensive either. Four of us orders plenty of food to satiate for less than $30US. The menu was just enough, not too many dishes and not too few. This place is a 45 minute drive or so out of Pakse. It is 1-2km short of the turn off to Tad Luang Waterfall. For me this was a great combination. Enjoy nature and the waterfall then enjoy the nutrition. Great food.
This restaurant is in a beautifully restored colonial building more reminiscent of Luang Prabang than Pakse. The menu is not extensive but covers European and Asian food. I only had a spaghetti carbonara this time and it was excellent. The steaks and other meats look appetizing and I'll be back for one of them on my next visit. Each table has a button for calling for service or paying your bill, I'm amazed I've never seen this anywhere else it seems so obvious.

I came here with high hopes after reading the reviews but was very let down. The drinks were a very reasonable price, and the coffee machines looked great.I ordered my standard long black and I the half full cup of coffee I received was very watery and next to no Crema. The ambience of the place wasn't too nice, all the furniture was old. The staff were semi-friendly.I didn't eat so cannot comment on the food but the menu was quite extensive. If you like coffee you're much better off seeking another cafe like Delta.

Sabaidee Pakse is a new retaurant with nice Lao and Thai food and few western dishes. If you need information about the area around Pakse and the Bolaven plateau ask the staff - they know it really well. We also sell bus tickets to places in Laos and Thai
After returning from the short loop we were tired and hungry for a hearty breakfast. There were many good choices here and we liked everything we ordered. I especially enjoyed the mango stick rice and pancakes. Lots of food for small price, and yummy too!

Restaurant & Guesthouse
I liked the view from this place. There were good choices for Thai food and I liked the taste(I think the owner is a Thai). But some of the reviews - "Best food in Laos" are definitely overrated, or exaggerated.

Located directly on the banks of the Mekong River, Mama Leuah offers clean and simple bungalows with ensuite, balcony and hammocks - perfect for enjoying the amazing sunrises! You can also relax in the restaurant while enjoying excellent asian and western
Based on reviews we made the trek out to this restaurant. Iâm so glad we did! My favourite place on Don Det to eat. Big portions of really good food. We had the massaman curry and also the chicken with garlic, peppers and vegetables- really tasty. And the setting is so peaceful and relaxing right on the river. There are buffalos around and it just has a great feel. Definitely come here while on Don Det. You wonât regret it!
