Club del Carmen is situated in Puerto del Carmen, within walking distance of the Playa Grande and Playa Chica beaches. It features a heated outdoor pool, children’s pool and whirlpool. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The well-furnished apartments include a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Reviewed By Alyn138We had 17 nights here , stayed in a1 bed ground floor apartment overlooking the pool area. This was our 20 something visit to Club del Carmen and it gets better every visit. From check-in with Ana to checkout with Simona everything was first class. The pool are was excellently looked after by the lifeguard Sheila who is a lovely helpful girl, The rota system put in place during Covid for the sunbeds around the pool is still in place and that works very well. Apartment had all the equipment you would ever require. All the staff at Club del Carmen are very friendly and helpful. Magnolia , Ana and two new starts who I have forgotten the names of in reception helped with anything we required. The onsite pool bar Baily Bar is very good, serves good quality food at reasonable prices. They will deliver food to your apartment if you require. Bar manager Ghali & staff Kariml,Adhil ,Lara ,Omar & Chef Hassan are friendly work hard and nothing is ever a problem. On Dia de Canarias the staff provided tapas snacks and sangria . The Friday Paella cooking demonstration by Hassan was great to watch and delicious to eat. Looking forward to returning next year.

Hidden Gem in Playa Blanca
Reviewed By dan86Wow what an amazing place. I have been to Playa Blanca many times and have always stayed in the big hotels. Coloradamar Bungalows is great!!! We had a 2 bed bungalow with own hottub overlooking the pool. The pool area is immaculate with a kids, adult and jacuzzi. It's all gated for the young ones who might like to wander off for added peace of mind. We stayed in Bungalow 9 which had a triangle hottub, bungalow 10 had a larger hottub for all the family. Close to Marina Rubicon, Papagayo beaches and lots of amazing eateries, my personal favourite Alfies Kitchen! Anybody looking for a very reasonably priced holiday then dont hesitate to check out Coloradamar as I guarantee you will have an amazing time.

Reviewed By positivespellMyself, my partner and 2 friends stayed in Villa 36 for 4 nights for my partners birthday beginning of March and we could not fault them. Excellent location, good sized pool and the villa itself was very spacious with everything you need and even a complimentary tray with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and useful information etc. The villa was in a perfect location as we got the sun all day, the marina only a few minutes walk past the shopping centre and main town 15-20 walk up the coastline path. There was a hotel facing us being demolished but, we didn’t hear anything apart from the odd bang here and there. I would definitely stay here again #greatspot

Reviewed By Pipa GLocation is great, it's less then 10mins from the airport and as it's in "middle" of the island so you have it close to all "attractions" of Lanzarote - of course with rented car. The place it self is perfect, we really appreciate privacy, we loved traditional style of the building and beautiful garden! Small supermarket is just 2mins far away by walk.

Reviewed By Laura91_13We were here during the start of the Corona crisis (second week of march). We were welcomed by the housekeeper who doesn't speak one word of English. Difficult to communicate with. We were shown the room, but received no further explanation of the building or breakfast (times?). In the room were several things that dissapointed us: the fridge makes a hell of noise, the door to the bathroom is see through, there's a plate behind the tv that is loose, the light next to the frontdoor can not be switched off, so the room is bathing in light when you want to sleep, only one of the bedsight lamps was working, the bath/shower is super slippery and the shower head needs to be held by hand for there is no way to attach it to the wall. We stayed 5 nights but never received clean towels. There's a deadly virus and keeping yourself clean is of the utmost importance! We at least expected a change every other day. What surprised most is that after the partial lockdown of Spain and the island no one told us about the rules (not going on the street, don't shop together, keep distance). The fact that this appartment is quit and not touristic makes up for a part of this, but overall we did not have a good experience here.

Denise and all the staff at the complex were amazing, polite and helpful. The villa is so quiet and relaxed and just what we needed, and if we wanted to pop over to playa blanca they would arrange a taxi which was only 6 euros if you wanted a bit of nightlife. There is local shops and restaurants just over a 5 minute walk and the villa is equipped for every thing that you need. We was asked if we needed cleaning and also the maintenance man would also pop his head over to check all was ok with the villa. The privacy was spot on and a lovely private pool just big enough for us. We could also used the hotel pool and amenities across the street, so we had the best of both worlds. We will be back again, thank you Villa Coral Deluxe

Lovely villa - even in a sandstorm
Reviewed By JonG789We booked our first villa holiday at Hoopoe Villas and had a great experience. We were met at the gate by David and shown around the property all with a great smile and genuine helpfulness. The villa itself was more than big enough for the 4 of us and was well fitted and presented throughout. The welcome basket that was left was very welcome indeed and a great touch after a long days travelling. We hired a car for our stay and toured the island even when the worst Calima in years hit and our stay extended by a day. All in all we would wholly recommend Hoopoe Villas and are hoping to rebook for when it reopens after the refit. We have asked David to contact us so we can return to thihs lovely island and a great villa. 10/10

Reviewed By Explorer714945Il ns appartamento era spazioso e molto luminoso cosa per cui non possiamo lamentarci ( segnalo che nel bagno ci sono i servizi essenziali e mancano i saponi per cui si devono portare da casa) . L hotel dispone di un minimarket che purtroppo tenendo chiusa la porta che da sulla piscina ti porta a dover uscire dalla struttura salendo e scendendo scale ogni volta il che è molto scomodo . La reception è molto funzionale e il personale è estremamente gentile e ti toglie tutti i dubbi. Purtroppo come nota negativa non posso non dire che il bar/ristorante scarseggia di qualsiasi cosa tu voglia in un dato momento. C e davvero pochissima scelta e mancano sempre cose da loro stessi indicati nel menù/cartellone . La colazione continentale non è prevista e in questa zona purtroppo non ci sono bar che aprano prima delle 10 o giù di lì , il che ti rovina un pò la giornata. Da migliorare sicuramente, ci sono molte potenzialità!

Great for what we wanted
Reviewed By Sheryl WWe stayed in villa #7. Was perfect for what we wanted. Didn't bother with paying extra for the pool to be heated as we were mostly exploring Tias and the surrounding areas. Towels were provided for the bath/shower and a hair dryer in one of the two bathrooms. The tv stations are mainly German but found a few channels with music (43) and family entertainment shows on. The beds are a bit too hard so I didn't sleep most nights but no complaints from the rest of the family. Great pool area to eat breakfast and watch the aeroplanes come and go as well as the sunrise. If your not into walking great distances don't be put off staying here as there is public transport and taxis a stones throw away

Reviewed By LukeMJarroldI understand the negative reviews as we also found the shower to be low pressure and not great , I also found the internet drops out often which isn’t great , but being in Europe our data costs the same so 4G is fine. The Villa is basic , could with extra plates and glasses but we have enjoyed our 7 nights with our nephew and his girlfriend. Second bedroom definitely needs extra furniture , I think for location it’s value for money , outside area is great , pool great , quiet location and rooms stay relatively cool , no need for air con in January although thE weather has been in the 20s and sun all week. Some bulbs need replacing inside . The sun is on the pool for most of the day which is a bonus also . We ate out mostly so cannot comment on cooking facilities .
