Great campsite away from the crowded coast!

Reviewed By Rockchickpmc

Camped for a week this summer with teens and younger child. Good entertainments if not a little loud in the evening but stops at 11pm without fault. Nice pool with slide, too few sun loungers, and too many people reserving them with towels and not using them!!! You need a car but the beaches are not too far away. Fabulous fro trail running and moutain biking directly from the campsite. Would go again. Good value for money

Lovely stay

We Arrived at camping la Dune to a really clean mobile and friendly staff. We were close to the kids area and swimming pool. It was nice that you had to park your car at the close car parks as no traffic past the mobile. Had a lovely chilled holiday . I would return here. It was also a lot cheaper than other sites we looked at

Very friendly staff. Brand new showers this year, probably the best I ve come across. Great location , minutes from Meze and the sea and 20 mins from Gignac inland. No swimming trunks with pockets allowed . Why ? So no swimming for me.

One of the worst camp sites I have ever stayed in!!

Reviewed By Angela S

On arrival the site looks run down. The pitches were not suitable for tents. The pitches were stone and it was difficult to get the pegs in. The pitch we were sent to was already occupied! The owner wasn’t that helpful after we’d spent over an hour trying to peg in the tent. The bar and entertainment were appalling! Only plastic glasses available for drinks. Pitches were cramped together. No positives for this site! This was the more expensive than other sites we had stayed at this week. We did not enjoy our stay!

Horror! Don’t go

Reviewed By Kevin L

We booked this site with pitchup.com with the intention to stay here for 4 nights. Both fluent French speakers we met with the owner on arrival, who was very matter of fact and did not explain any details of the campsite or wishing us a nice stay, we can live with that. However ‘Mamie’ allows groups of yobs and thugs to stay at this site playing music to 5am on our first night which continued on the second night. They dominate the pool area, no security anyone can enter the site without without question 24/7. There is a real tense atmosphere on site and no security provision. Unless your up for rave parties and want to join in serious intoxication and shouting /arguing to the early hours, then this is not the place for you. On the plus side it’s a typical tree lined French style campsite which is used by a lot of people in transit. If you must stay here then ask for a double glazing company to fit out your caravan with soundproof windows and stay with your van! The site is not really cared for, and the maintenance person cannot even manage a bonjour. Our advice : don’t stay, after paying in full for 4 nights we left after 2.

Good pool, shame about the pitches

Reviewed By woody_clare

The good bits - good pool and sun area, friendly staff, can order breakfast and there is a pizza takeaway. Showers were good. Easy walking distance of Rocamadour. The not so good bits - the pitches are very open and not level, not much privacy. The site is not that well kept.
