Langkawi is a serene archipelago of 140 islands – only a few of which are inhabited. The largest of these is the eponymous Langkawi Island, which has UNESCO World Geopark status because of its richly populated (by wildlife, that is) conservation areas. The best way to experience these ecological wonders is from high above, on the Langkawi Sky Bridge that stretches above the rainforest. Cheekily-named Pregnant Maiden freshwater lake is a great place to take a dip or play keep-away with the kleptomaniac monkeys.

The unique setting and architecture of The Daun Resort Langkawi allow the traveller to experience a traditional Malay living. Hidden just behind the bustling Chenang Beach, The Daun Resort Langkawi is a close walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Your experience at this crafted Malay rooms would provide a lasting memory.
My husband and I spent four days in the resort, we do not have any real complaints, but as with anything you get what you pay for. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable but as they are wooden huts you can hear every noise your neighbour is making throughout the night... The bathrooms are simple, no luxury. The outside are is completely enclosed which is a little claustrophobic and the spa bath water is cold, which is not so nice. The price includes breakfast, which I did hear one guest saying was delicious, but we thought it was the worst hotel breakfast we had ever had, and in fact didn't eat thee after day one. To get to the reception desk (which is outside in a covered area, you have to take your shoes off, which while I know this is a cultural issue seems unnecessary as you are actually still outside and I don't want to put dirty feet into my shoes! If you haven't got much money it's a good find, otherwise it is very basic.

Loved it. The place is great for the short or long stay, personally, I stayed there for 7 nights and was sad to leave it. Located only 7-10 minutes from the beach in a quiet and safe area, which I, as a solo traveller, really appreciated. All the things you need - bars, cafes, shops, local food - are located really close to it, only 5 minutes away, but don't bring you any bother with the noise. The communication with hosts was smooth, the atmosphere was very cozy and family-like, I felt very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

I love love love this place! From fantastic front desk, building manager, to the homey room and super view it was everything i could ask for on my visit this time. We are celebrating my parents anniversary and i ask if they can do some minimal decoration. Its free and i thanked them alot for that! The place is situated in a village and it comes with ample and safe parking. The pool offer splendid view of rice field and u can do actual swimming here as it is quite big and deep. Breakfast is RM10 per pax and delicious. Will come back again to this place. Already missing here!

Hi all, just a quick message with some good reviews (I’m not associated with this resort - just had a lovely time with my family and friends) . We have just came back from Langkawi (which has loads to offer as an island - cable cars, wildlife park and more) where we were staying at *MyRus* resort (we have 2 children - 4.5 year old and 2 years old). Fantastic place for all, great facilities with swimming pools, slides , good food which is served to your dome and not to forget lovely staff (very helpful and accommodating). The resort manager was very prompt with responding to requests and helpful. The resort it self is very empty due to COVID-19 having an effect on people not wanting to fly but Langkawi itself has no COVID cases. When we were there, we were the only guests which was fantastic in some ways The domes itself are specious enough but some of them could be a bit brighter. There is a playroom which had some problems with the roof but it was in process of being fixed. Other than that all good especially for the price we paid. We will be back next year for another wee break.

Situated within a 6-minute walk of underwaterWorld Langkawi in Pantai Cenang.Shell Out Cenang Beach Resort fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. The holiday park offers a year-round outdoor pool.Guests can also relax in the garden. The rice museum is 900 metres from the resort, while the airport is 15 minutes drive from the resort.
I am normally very careful before I give a hotel such a bad rating, but neither the great location right in the heart of Cenang, a 3-minute walk from the beach, nor being ok for the price in terms of room size, can make up for the horrible last night I had with a friend in a Family room. Just because this is not a luxury hotel, does not mean one has to put up with bed bugs. I was sharing one of the queen beds with a friend and both of us woke up covered in bed bugs bites (I travel a lot and know the difference between a mosquito and a bed bug bite). I am not somebody overly fussy with a few insect bites, but this was just unbelievable (I am curious to know how many liters of our blood those beasts have sucked out of us considering the number of bites we had among us). I attached a photo of my arm and you can judge for yourself. I refrained from posting photos of the rest of my body covered in bites to not scare you. How this is even possible in just one night is unbelievable. The hotel, even though rather dated, had rooms which are actually not too bad for the price (the nights before we stayed in the Grand Suite with 9 persons, which was very comfortable and clean and I would recommend it for a large family on a budget), ok size and at first glance the beds looked clean too. Nothing which made me think it could have been infected with bed bugs. I am not saying this was the case in all rooms, I do not know that, but it was enough for me to be in the one where we had to have the company of those bugs. If the bed bugs would not have been there, I would have given the hotel 3 stars, because of its great location, just a short walk from the beach and the decent sized rooms (there is small fridge in there too which is useful). If you just need a centrally located hotel, a good price and are out anyway most of the day exploring, it is an ok hotel, but I would certainly not stay here on a romantic trip or for a special occasion (aircon was very noisy too, so better just use the fan). With a group of friends I think it is ok. Breakfast was included, but do not expect much, some scrambled eggs, some baked beans and a sad looking sausage and a watery orange juice awaits you. But there are lots of restaurants around the area. However, to be fair, one cannot expect 5-star dining and services for 2.5 star prices, therefore the breakfast and the very small pool I could easily put up with and would not complain about, but for the bed bugs (at least in our room) I have zero tolerance, therefore my very low rating and extreme disappointment. And if you need to rely on good internet avoid this hotel or work with your mobile data plan. I would not come back (even though the Grand Suite was perfectly ok for a group), there are lots of other options in the area.

Nice welcoming hosts - really warm and helpful people. Borrowed us adapter - helped us with what to see and do when visiting Langkawi - gave us advise about Grab (taxi) all with a smile one their faces! We started out booking one night, but ended out staying 3 nights (our total stay at Langkawi) Easygoing area. Clean and tidy room with a comfy bed and private bathroom. The stay was including a light breakfast. Close to the beach.

I stayed here 4 nights recovering from a cold. It was very quiet even sleeping with the windows open. There's a fan and AC so you can take your pick. The staff is very kind and were always available, though I didn't really need anything. They made sure I had two bottles of water each day and plenty of tea and coffee. The water temperature is good. Bedding is good. I really can't think of any negatives except it's about 15 minutes walk to the main strip.
