Good location but some problems….
Reviewed By smrgeogI stayed in room 4032 and booked through my rewards program. First of all, for an airport hotel the Maritim is ideally located close to the airport train station and terminal. The Rotisserie restaurant for both breakfast and dinner are excellent. I found the staff to be professional and responsive and had resolved a minor issue with my booking. Rooms are adequate, clean, and beds are comfortable enough. I ended up with some room issues that I want to point out; with it, being a warm June day, the lack of an A/c system means the windows are the only source of cooling and ventilation. This presented a catch-22 situation where opening the windows exposes one to all the airport noise but then needing the windows to maintain ventilation. The situation made it difficult to sleep. The in room safe did not appear to work as there was no power to it. Unable to stow away my valuables and I had to carry them around whenever I left the room. Largely everything else was fine but the ventilation problem affected my sleep. As I had only a one night day, i didn’t see the need for a complaint but for location nothing beats it.

Reviewed By Jim CWe ended up in the hotel because the hotel we booked was overbooked via Booking.com. Room was ok, but curtains so thin (no blackout liner) we woke up at 4 am. Staff are friendly, but not in the location we booked or wanted.

They over booked us!!
Reviewed By Jim CWe have just returned from a trip to Germany. We booked this hotel over a month in advance for 3 nights via Booking.com. Upon arrival an apologetic receptionist advised us they had over booked the hotel and there was no room available for us. They booked us into another hotel in their group about a mile away, which was most inconvenient as we were visiting family who lived on the other side of town to the alternative hotel. Hence I cannot recommend this hotel.

Комната небольшого размера, но ванная комната неожиданно просторна. Вполне комфортный завтрак. Чисто. Персонал вежлив. Нет никаких особых причин чтобы не останавливаться здесь кроме удаленности от трамвайной ветки и цены за размещение. Все таки 140-150 Евро за ночь это слишком. Такой номер должен стоить раза в два дешевле.

Terrible hotel
Reviewed By 671neilvThis is a terrible hotel. My family and I are unable to get to Germany for the short weekend as our flights have been cancelled due to COVID-19. We were planning to just fly in on 04 July, visit our daughter/sister at Hannover War Cemetery on 05 July, as it would have been her birthday, and then fly back to the UK on 06 July. The hotel are adamant that they will not provide a refund, either full or partial, as they don't have to because of the contract. This was the first time in 20 years that were able to get together, as a family, and go to visit our daughter/sister, all of which was explained to the hotel, but they didn't care. All they repeatedly said was that the rooms we had book are available and if we cant make it then it our fault and they are sticking to the contract terms. Really poor attitude and service. I will ensure that we will never stay of any of this hotel chains hotels ever again.
