Nestled in the charming village of Lamlash the hotel boasts one of the most beautiful locations on the Isle of Arran; looking across Lamlash Bay toward the Holy Isle which rises 1,000 feet out of the sea. The Glenisle was honoured at the 2011 Scottish Hotel Awards, scooping up a Gold Medal for hospitality as well as the prestigious Rising Star Small Hotel award. Once you have experienced Arran from the comfort of the Glenisle Hotel you might find yourself, like so many others, coming back year after year for a regular break which both relaxes and revitalises.
My husband and I took our one year old for our first family trip to Arran. The hotel was perfect and the staff were really helpful, personable and they were good with our daughter. The hotel has a beautiful garden with established plants. There is a selection of kids toys at the back so that they are amused while we enjoyed some wine. The food was lovely and the cheese board was amazing. We took our car but also got the bus on one occasion as you can get that just outside of the hotel. The stand along bath is situated right in front of the window so that you can have a lovely bubble bath overlooking the beautiful bay. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Arran. Thanks to all of the staff for making our trip so lovely.

A group of us stayed here whilst cycling around the island and it ticked all the boxes. Good value, comfortable beds, decent shower, place to store the bikes inside and a drying room and cook house. Decent location to walk to the local pubs as well. Couldn't really fault it for the money.

Tigh An Eilean, Lamlash, Isle of Arran, is a small very comfortable B&B, three newly renovated rooms, in the beautiful location of Lamlash Bay. The rooms all have central heating, ensuite, flat screen tv, wifi, and hairdryers. A warm welcome is assured and it is the perfect place to start exploring the wonderful island of Arran.
We just stayed in the smallest double we ever stayed in with uncomforable bed and paid top dollar for a seaveiw with large double which it was neither. It had 1 small table with lamp on chest of draws which occupied the tea tray and a chair in front of the wardrobe not enough room to swing a cat should be sold as a single. To top it all wasn't aware owner had alsatian dog which slept in the kitchen / dinning room were we had breakfast with the cat, also dog entered our room twice not very nice if you suffer from allergies should make sure people know before booking. Also turned up 20 mins late after walking animals should be a dog / cat hotel would be more appropriate.Very poor value be warned don't stop here.

I stayed for a couple of nights in May with my grown-up sons - me in a double room, because I was paying, and them sharing a twin, because they weren't. Colin and June were smashing hosts, very friendly and full of local knowledge. We were able to store our bikes in the shed, which is always a bonus. Breakfast was delicious - and the location in Lamlash is just amazing. Will return here for sure.
