Recommend by the Chamber of Commerce and their recommendation was spot on. Great assortment of doughnuts. Took a dozen to the school and of course had to have a couple for me for the road. Employees were super polite and very helpful. Yes I too recommend this place.

How can you get slow service at a Dairy Queen? Visit here and you can find out. The place was also dirty. The tables were not wiped clean, the kitchen was messy and some of the staff had dirty uniforms

We stopped in when passing thru town. I usually stop at Bush's Chicken which is very good, but wanted something different. We seated ourselves and a friendly waitress came over greeted us and took our drink order. Both of us had CFS, okra, and side salad. The side salad was pretty fresh and was fine. The okra was good, it is just the every day pre breaded kind. The CFS was average. It was an excellent cut of meat, and was thick and fork tender. Where it came up short was the breading, I just didn't care for it. It was a soft and somewhat greasy breading. Prices are reasonable and service is good. It is a typical small town local atmosphere, just like what I am used to. I'm sure I will stop in again, and try a different item.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in – the display case had a really nice variety of glazed and cake donuts. The sweet smell in the air instantly puts you in a good mood. The friendly employees greet you as you walk past several tables to the counter. They serve good sized breakfast sandwiches if you’re not a donut fan and the fresh coffee hit the spot. Sit down and enjoy your breakfast there or take it to go. It is a new building, so everything is fresh and clean. Morningstar is a welcome addition amongst Lamesa restaurants. Move over McDonalds.

I've eaten breakfast in Jalisco's many times and it's always good albeit a little different. We tried dinner last night and I have to say I was impressed. I had the number 25, two fajita burritos (flour tortilla) with cheese sauce, rice and beans. My wife had the tortilla soup. The fajita meat was very good and the cheese sauce went with it just right. Although the cheese sure seemed like melted Velveeta it just went with it last evening. The rice was about restaurant fare but good as were the beans. The salsa was pretty runny but also good; I ate two bowls. The tortilla soup was really good and the avocado on top just set it off.
Service was outstanding. Our waiter kept a close eye on us and was so courteous, professional and....just happy. I couldn't have asked for more.
I have eyed the dinner menu before while at breakfast and was curious so I guess we found out. I've eaten Mexican/TexMex/Cuban all over the south and southwest from Nevada to FL and this was better than most - and the best in Lamesa IMO. I'll have to make them a regular stop.

I met a friend in Lamesa for dinner. We chose Pedroza's Restaurant and were well pleased. The food was excellent. The portions just right. I had enchiladas and my friend had chicken fried steak. Good choices. Ambiance conducive to conversation, and we had a lot of catching up to do.

This is the best chicken I've ever had! Flavor galore, absolutely awesome mashed potatoes, super clean facility, outstanding female manager, and that's just for starters. Put this place on your "Must Visit" list! You will not be sorry. P.S. Don't forget to sprinkle their special condiment on your chicken!

In Lamesa, this is a "5+ star" restaurant, but I like to rate places relative to other places we have been. The one would hold up well in a much larger city--Lamesa is lucky to have this and a couple of Mexican restaurants (heard from others) that are also good.
The service is a little slow, but still good. The chef show is standard for a Japanese sit around the grill. The food is plentiful and very good--well prepared to order. There are many food options. The ambiance is decent for a stand alone store. The prices are great. The wine options are very limited. They do close early!
Very local people are very friendly. We will stop here again on our next trip to Santa Fe.

Sonic is one of the most consistent choices in Lamesa for fast food. They make a great hamburger and the Ultimate Chicken sandwich I got was built around a real chicken breast. Get breakfast any time of day and they offer the best variety of drinks, including great milk shakes. Another plus is are open late which comes in handy whether you are traveling through town or want a bite to eat after a football game, softball, or band concert etc. I don’t think this location offers the Happy Hour special on drinks, but otherwise the quality and prices are what you would expect anywhere else. Good Food, Fast!

fast food does not describe this McD's. most mornings, the orders are filled one at a time.....the order is taken, the order is filled, the next order is taken, etc. the one morning when they were short handed and the two young ladies were handling it alone was the fastest it has ever moved.
