Our friends and my wife liked this place much more than I did. The service was good, the atmosphere cafeteria-like. The food was very plain, with run-together tastes, and limited menu compared to Chinese restaurants in the USA or China.The noodles were hard to find on the menu, and did not seem fresh made. The wontons were big and tasteless. I did like the lemon chicken and the fruit chicken. Color me underwhelmed.

My husband, a local, has been raving about this place since we met. The years of hype were all accurate. Cannata, a small cafe with counter and sit down service, served the best duck (pato assado) in Lambayeque! It's a place for a late breakfast or lunch, but you can stop in any time for a fabulous small sandwich snack with choice of pork, duck, beef or chicken and Cannata's signature Asian style sauces. But it was the duck that blew me away. Enjoy a coffee Peruvian style (cafe passado) or a cold drink with your snack and take a break from the heat in this clean cafe with AC near the town center.
