Great quirky decor, friendly waitress and a varied menu is sadly all we can praise. We ordered a vegetarian burrito and chicken tacos and were disappointed with the portion sizes as we were both still hungry after we finished! For the price (90,000 plus VAT) the tacos were a joke - more like a tapas than a main meal. Not a lot of chicken or flavour either and the veg burrito was full of beans with measly amount of rice. I thought it was tasty but again you needed a side to fill you up, ok for a light lunch but no way dinner size. Definitely should come with some nachos on the side at least, as is standard in most traditional Mexican places. The owner swiftly offered us some fried ice cream which was a nice change but again we would have expected to be full enough after our meal not to have needed a dessert. Our bill was given to us whilst we were still eating dessert, as if the owner wanted to close early at only 7pm. We felt this was quite awkward and didnât like the fact the VAT charge is not included on the menu prices. Weâve eaten in various Mexicans all over Vietnam and in the west and this was one of the most expensive for the least amount of food and average quality. I as the owner Am certainly disappointed in the fact that you now say your experience here at Blue Parrot. If you give me tour contact information or cone back I will give you a full refund. But we ask ever customer how there meal was and like you they say great. If you lack the courage to speak truthfully when asked what can you expect anyone to do to resolve your issues. Our menu clearly states the size of the taco shell and the size of the tortilla for both our burritos, medium and giant. There is only so much we can put into a 5 inch (12.7cm) taco shell as clearly stated on our menu. The medium burrito, the size you ordered, is 8 inches ( 20.3cm). The vegetarian comes on with 30 g of rice, 30 g of cilantro/line beans, 30g corn salsa, 40 grams of fajita veggies, 30 g of pico de gallo, 20 grams of either sour cream or cheese, and 30 g of guacamole. We can not pack anymore into the tortilla as it is. We rarely have a grown man ever come in and order just a medium burrito. Indeed, i never in my life would feel full with just a medium burrito. And a lady ordering just two 5 inch tacos I doubt could get full. I certainly would never consider two tacos a â main mealâ. The fact your on a low budget we have no way of knowing. But I ask EVERY customer how they enjoyed their meal. I hope they can reply honestly as I thought you did when you said it was great.
