Omg this place is delicious. Several types of donuts. Best donut~ pb&j. Was disappointed they didn't sell donut holes single (I'm a weirdo). Fresh and wonderful choices. They stay busy

We are long-time Marzano's fans and have dined there on many occasions. Last night, there were some things previously handled perfectly that were not handled well. The waiter failed to mention the specials until we asked him what they were. He forgot my brother-in-law's Brussels sprouts. The bruschetta was not what it used to be - simply okay rather than delicious - also it was no longer on the menu. My pasta was served on a cold plate. Cold. The pasta itself (Cinghiale) was excellent, but as a result of the cold plate, cooled off too quickly. These are all details, but these things did not happen in the past. Maybe this was simply an "off" night - and I hope it's not a sign of tings to come.

Last week four of us met there for lunch. I had selected the place for its location for all of us and based on the reviews.
My trepidation was not needed!
The food and the service were excellent. Our waitress was pleasant, polite, and professional. She was patient with our chatting instead of ordering and we were never rushed to leave our table after completing our meal. We tried 3 different lunch entrees plus a soup and 2 desserts. All were very good. The "pomme frites" were a treat.
The food is a good value. Good quantity and quality for a reasonable amount of money.
I look forward to eating there again.

Hess Bakery & Deli is the deli/grocery store and bakery of German breads, rolls and pretzels. We do not make cakes or pastries. We are not affiliated with the "German Pastry & Coffee Shop" across the hall from us. We have always been separate businesses - different owners.
Although the Deli is great especially the BIG pretzels Kaiser rolls and cold cuts the bakery has great cheese cake and other bakery items. The cheese cake has limited if not without sugar, it tastes like an original cheese cake.
On the weekends get to the deli early if you want the pretzels or pretzel rolls they do sell out.

This fairly new restaurant shows up on a number of other sites, such as http://local.yahoo.com/info-59696329-carrs-restaurant-lakewood
The food was hot, delicious, and definitely plentiful. The service was awesome too. When we arrived there was no waiting. We were seated and serviced right away. By the time we were ready to leave the waiting area was almost filled but there were several tables available. It was hard to explain why the people were not seated since there was plenty of wait staff. Had I been in the waiting area, I would have been annoyed. Still, my wife and I were totally satisfied with our food and service.

I'm German and this place makes me feel like I'm at home again. I can always hear somebody speak German in the background and the pastries taste just like in Germany, delicious! The wait staff is always very friendly. The prices are a little high but you won't need more than one pastry or cake to be satisfied!

It's so good we are taking our daughter and fiance there for dinner this weekend. We have never had Salvadoran food before, it was delicious. I had Pollo a la Crema, Sauteed chicken in mild salvadorean tomato sauce and sour cream. Served with rice, beans and tortillas. Hubby had Bistek Encebollado, Thin steak marinated in salvadorean herbs and spices. Topped with grilled onions and green peppers. Also served with a side of rice and beans and your choice of tortillas.
The homemade tortillas are thick and too hot eat.
The place was clean, service was excellent. Don't be fooled by the outside.

It was not exceptional or bad just ok. Service was prompt. It was busy during our dinner but they took care of us promptly.

Can you believe it? Trip Advisor asks if this restaurant serves Shanghai food. The answer is NO! And, Cantonese food is not a mainstream dish here either... IT'S a bona fide Szechuan restaurant.
And it IS one of the best Chinese restaurants in the pacific Northwest, not because it's fancy... but because they serve true Szechuan food. I list only one food that is a true test because if they cannot do that I'd have been disappointed: Ants On a Tree (Mǎyǐshàngshù) 螞蟻上樹.
Sure they have other dishes that you might be more familiar with if your experience is solely American Chinese... Cantonese and Shanghai, but if you are a foodie and adventurer, as I am, try it... you'll really, really like it!
