Jewells Tavern is a favourite local hotel in Jewells. With a relaxed friendly atmosphere its easy to see why locals and visitors alike enjoy spending time here. Our spacious Bistro is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends. We hav
A couple of years since Iâd eaten at Jewells Tavern. Never again.Iâve got nothing positive to say. Garlic prawns on rump steak were pre-cooked and still half frozen. Sent it back for cooking, and the prawns came back warm but they didnât bother keeping the steak warm. I could go on about the other meals too, needless to say, I wasnât the only unhappy camper. If Tripadvisor had a rating lower than terrible then these guys win it hands down.Hot tip: donât.

We visit here quite often. Lovely meals, generously proportioned and a wide range to suit all tastes. There can be quite a wait when it is busy. good range of drinks available. You can sit inside downstairs or chose to sit upstairs on the new verandah and take in the views. There is a fantastic kids play space, which would benefit from having easier access from inside, but I'm sure the intention is for parents to actively supervise their kids whilst they play.Thank you for your kind review. We are very proud of our newly renovated club and hope you come back and enjoy it again soon.RegardsManagement

This place was booked as an all-catered event for my sister-in-law's sixtieth birthday. We were provided with a large upstairs dining area accessible by stairs or, thankfully, a medium-sized lift/elevator.We were provided with a range of delicious, succulent foods smorgasbord style and a bar with club-priced drinks within. As it was a joint 60th party for identical twin sisters and two extended families, we were a little underwhelmed that, considering the size of the booking and the room, no dais or PA was supplied even when requested with the booking. Disappointing too that a couple of extra trestle tables were not supplied as both ladies received many gifts on the night and had to put them on the floor against a wall ... NOT ideal. The food waitstaff were good. The bar-staff were fair but one of the two occasionally went away to work downstairs. Clearing used glassware from dining tables was not a priority. It was, despite some drawbacks, a lovely venue ... great lake views in worthy surroundings. Good parking. Great food. Low-priced drinks.
Hotel Jesmond is a Newcastle institution and a favourite amongst the locals. Weâre a classic pub with modern amenities - thereâs something for everyone at The Jeso! Enjoy a casual family meal, soak up all the sport action over a couple of beers with your
Lunch at the former HallâsHaven was never like this. The latest iteration of this Jesmond landmark is as a modern, clean-lined but warm and friendly place to spend a few hours over a long lunch with family or friends. It has plenty of tables, a good menu, prices typical of a modern Newcastle gastro-pub and friendly-happy staff. The pork ribs, salmon and gnocchi dishes brought to our table, with prompt efficiency, were tasty and well presented. Servings were not huge but adequate.

The Lake Macquarie Yacht Club bistro has great food at reasonable prices. We went there for lunch with friends on Easter Saturday and throroughly enjoyed it. Fortunately the weather was good which made our choice of seating out on the deck a good one. With views across the marina, lake and foreshore, what more could you want. Service, from both dining and bar areas was friendly and prompt on a reasonably busy public holiday. Meal sizes were good and prices reasonable. Recommend the battered fish & chips (John Dory fish), Scotch Fillet steak and Thai Beef salad. Will definitely go there again.

Great location with friendly and helpful staff. Eaten here several times and never had a disappointing meal. Love the Lemon Pepper Squid, Seafood Basket, Double Beef Cheese Burger, and the various mini cheesecake desserts are a good way to finish. A great spot for a meal whilst enjoying the views on the edge of Lake Macquarie.

This restaurant in the 16s Yacht club and seemed to have a big attendance of patrons ... My husband had the roast beef which was very dry and vegetables also in his opinion werenât the best...I had the fish and chips which were very average.. $ 37.00 for the two meals..Apart from the location I think the food is very overrated..I donât think we will be in a rush to go back any time soon....Hi Linda, thank you for providing us with your feedback about your recent dining experience. We understand that your roast and fish & chips weren't completely satisfactory, and apologise that they weren't satisfactory. Please know that your feedback has been shared with our team for consideration in the future.

Went there tonight with hubby ordered 2 burgers one with a side of onion rings and one with a side of chips both take away and when we got home they had both onion rings Not the first mistake they have madeSave your money and don't go there as there is a 90% chance they will get it wrongYou will either get the wrong order or the burgers will still be raw be careful and save your time and moneyHello, I'm sorry to hear that there was an onion ring and chips mix up and that this has led to a second bad review. While we provided a complimentary meal in regards to the undercooked burger last time, if you have any further comments to make that will further help us to improve our service please contact us at [email protected]

Located in the heart of Lake Macquarie NSW, the Gunyah Hotel offers convenient accommodation with modern amenities and affordable rates. The recently renovated pub offers traditional pub feel with a modern touch and breath-taking views of Lake Macquarie.
The very best experience to celebrate my husbands 60th.We selected The Gunyah Hotel primarily for its modern open and airy aspect, both in the bar and restaurant, overlooking Lake Macquarie.Provided with a long table for 18. Had tapas to start while people mingled. Ordered and received excellent mains and staff had refrigerated the cake and lit candles ( some of which they provided) and presented same to table when requested with plates and spoons. This whole experience couldnât have gone better.Susan
