I've been coming here since it opened back in 2011 and I can honestly say this place just keeps getting better! From fresh, quality coffee to adding a good selection of freshly made breakfast and lunch options paired with polite and prompt staff, what else would want in a coffee shop!?! The ambience is nice with local art (for sale) and quaint seating mixed with good music, sometimes live from local musicians. Be mindful of the pastries though, you could really pack on a few lbs if not too careful since won't want to put the fork down.
Have I been laying it on too heavy with all the compliments? I don't think so...

The burgers ar really good and the onion rings are great as well. I also get the house made chili. I take the chili home to eat or put on hot dogs later.

Family owned and committed to fresh homemade comfort cuisine. Screened patio on the lake
They have a little of everything. Salads, burgers, shrimp, breakfast. Good luck getting in quickly fir breakfast on the weekends but it’s worth the wait. I love to bring people that are from outbof town to prove that there is a lake in Lake Jackson. Lol. I love to sit outside in good weather. Service can be slow at times but Food is always good.

The Grape Taste offers something to satisfy every kind of appetite. Enjoy premium wines and gourmet entrees right here in Lake Jackson!
I thought this was just a wine place, but it has a terrific menu as well. Standard soup, salads and sandwiches are all terrific. Waitstaff very attentive. Midrange prices.

Lake Jackson is not a place to expect healthy and good food options. The salads here are large and fresh, but a bit pricy for the area. I will eat here when ever I visit because it has the healthiest and freshest choices.

We live in Lake Jackson. There are lots of restaurants, but this one is reasonably priced and has a wide variety of seafood dishes plus hamburgers and steaks. Fried shrimp are popular here and theirs are as good as any in this community. (Shrimp boats ply the Gulf of Mexico out of Freeport, which is 8 miles distant.). Side dishes include dirty rice and fried vegetables - a very satisfactory portion. We get take-out and have patronized them very frequently. Way better than pizza.
Based on previous reviews, I thought the seafood would be better, but it was not. There was plentyof chicken in the gumbo, but the taste was lacking with spices, a little bland. The grilled fish was OK while the scallops were tough and chewy and the grilled shrimp was cold. The rice that came with the gumbo was dry and not flaky as well.

Japanese Asian Fusion
We stopped in here on a Friday afternoon around 3:30. We ordered a couple of Sushi Rolls and some fried calamari. The service was great, the food was really good and prices were reasonable. The Shaggy Dog Sushi roll was outstanding!

Take out order...fantastic chicken with a superb sauce, the meat literally fell apart it was so tender. Lovely seasoned mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans (hard to find)...
Was a lovely meal...ate every bite...shared with my daughter and there was plenty for both of us. :)

Lake Jackson has had very limited access to some of the best cuisines in the world, for decades. Big Thai is a welcome addition. Not only is it the first Brazosport area Thai restaurant, but it is a good one. We have eaten in many Houston Thai restaurants and we are pleased with Big Thai. They also are very accommodating to vegetarians, which we appreciate. You can substitute tofu for meat in most dishes.
