We are a small 48 seat BYOB restaurant. Chef/Owner Matthew Pierone has been named to Best chefs America (BCA) list since 2013. He specializes in fresh, creative Italian cuisine and is known for his Pork chops, fish and bread pudding. Outstanding customer service is a main focus at the Gourmet Cafe.
Went for dinner tonight and was pleasantly surprised as to the appearance and quality of the service. The food was good and the atmosphere better than you expect for a strip mall. The appetizers we ordered were very good and the entrees were good. Price...MoreHarry, Thank you for trying us. I am glad you liked the service, atmosphere and food! We appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts. Chef Matthew

Whether you're looking for a convenient place for lunch, a lively dinner spot, a great date night or just drinks, the Montville Inn is contemporary restaurant dining at its best. Enjoy our eclectic menu with signature, creative dishes like Fried Deviled Eggs and Kung Pao Calamari, delicious pastas, daily fresh fish specials, and mouthwatering desserts. Outdoor dining and our glistening, copper bar make the Montville Inn a great destination for meals with family, date night, or even a business meeting. As about our private dining rooms!
Stopped in before a Barn Theater production of "Mothers & Sons" for drinks and appetizers. They have an extensive list of wines starting at $7 a glass. The cozy fireplace with mood lighting and wood tones was perfect for a relaxing conversation before the theater. The music was also subdued. The Colonial farmhouse exterior feel adds to the charm of the experience.

This place has an unassuming exterior and counter service, so I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The gyro platter was delicious, and serving was so large I ended up making two meals of it. The service is a bit taciturn, but the food more than makes up for it.

My family and I live within walking distance of this excellent dining option, but its worth going out of your way for a visit. Carlos and his superior staff always deliver an excellent dining experience. My favorite dish is the Italian hot pepper side they offer and have never been disappointed with the salmon or filet entrees. The building is the original Mountain Lakes train station. The stone construction, including the old ticket office, are very much in evidence and lend it some early 1900's ambiance. The upstairs is a lovely little bar which is reasonably if not spectacularly stocked. Overall highly recommended!

Read quite a few excellent reviews of this place so we decided to try it. The owners are Colombian. I am from Dover and Dover has excellent Colombian food. They serve from a buffet. So choices are limited. I had white rice black means and pulled pork. Beans were good but they didn't give many. The pork was ok. My son had baked chicken and it was bland. We also had an empanada. It was also ok and not great. I would have rather eaten at ANY of the Colombian restaurants in Dover. Take the extra drive into Dover and have better Colombian food.

I haven't been to Eccola for about 20 years, but wasn't disappointed. We went New Year's eve with a party of friends. With our reservation, we were seated after a short wait. The service was very attentive and the modern styled restaurant is attractive. Eccola has a very large menu from soup to dessert. We had a few appetizers and salads, followed by entrees from veal to seafood. All were very good, however some of our diners felt the quantity left them hungry. The desserts were great with a huge selection.

Maddy's hits the spot when you need a mexican food fix. The food is authentic , great portions and reasonable prices. The place is charming but not fine dining. Service is outstanding and welcoming . Everything i had was very good, steaks were well cooked and seasoned. Refried beans a tad watery but tasty. If you like very spicy food ask them to give you the hottest sauce they have , its flavorful and good. Dont forget to try the mango soda. Dessert menu was limited and not appetizing so skipped it. The complimentary chips and salsas were really good! almost as good as Mexico. Maddy's is a must visit in the area. Indoor is a mish mash of Ethnic memorabilia and garish colors, but the food stands out.

I had lunch at Fasil Mediterranean after a meeting with The Land Conservancy last month, and it lived up to my expectations based on my previous business lunches here.
Service was fast, friendly and efficient, cleanliness was excellent including the rest room; and the restaurant was decorated in a very pleasing Turkish fashion.
Lentil soup was delicately flavored and the chef had left several whole lentils in the mix to add some welcome mouth feel.
Three different hummus and three excellent falafels completed a very satisfying lunch.

Avoid Friday and Saturday nights because the place is packed. It's full on weekday nights too, but after 7:30 it isn't bad at all.
Why? Because the food is delicious and it's very family friendly. We tried 3 different pizzas, two different salads, Due Melanzane, Spedini, stuffed artichoke, steamed clams , tiramisu, veal parmigiana and several other dishes. We enjoyed them all and had excellent service too. We have been there on the weekend and had a very different experience, so a word to the wise....

Small and Cosy - nice Turkish restaurant. Food is very good especially the Shish Kabob, Adana Kabob and mixed grill:?Shepherd Salad and mixed appetizer is also very good. Meat is very juicy and tender. Prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly. It was pretty busy on week night - Highly recommend.
