When people find a great vacation getaway, they keep coming back. This 32-mile-long "Queen of American Lakes" is chock-full of lodging, attractions, eateries and just about any form of recreation you can name. A significant player in American history, Lake George is the site of two great forts, Fort William Henry and Fort Ticonderoga, both open to the public. Before plunging into the myriad activities in this family-friendly town, start off with a relaxing lake cruise to learn about the area. Then, take your pick of recreation: parasailing, fishing, diving, jet skiing, hiking, golfing, minigolf, horseback riding and more. If you've got kids in tow, you can't get away without visiting the Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom, New York's largest amusement park. Hikers gravitate to the international trail system or Prospect Mountain, which offers panoramic views from the top; for an easier way up, hop on the tram. Among the cleanest and clearest of major U.S. lakes, Lake George is as splendid today as when Thomas Jefferson described it as "...without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw."

we stayed in rm 116 only for a night, quick get away. Arrived a few hours prior to check in. They were so polite and professional, offered a place for us to park and use the facilities until our room was ready. Grabbed a quick lunch at the cafe and it was much better than we had expected. Our son had so much fun, he didn't want to leave to go to dinner. We will definitely be back!! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Sara Cushman 5-21-22

We have been vacationing at the Heritage for 7 years now. Every year is just like the last. Excellent staff, sparkling clean pool, cozy little cottages (our favorite), and beautiful grounds. The staff need a special mention and they are: Dee (keeping the most fresh and clean rooms), Ray (always ready to help, keeping the grounds beautiful and making sure there is a fire ready each night), and Nina (we met her for the first time greeting us at check-in this year....exceptionally friendly and if you have a need....the answer is yes and no problem). The village is in walking distance and we have made pals with so many alongside the firepit each evening!! I have looked at at least a dozen places through the years...just to see what it might be like to try something new....not a chance!! The Heritage is a special little gem!! Thank you to The Heritage family for the hospitality and always the best memories!!

We are experts at making you feel at home. With all rooms recently renovated, including new really comfortable beds, your evenings will feel luxurious and relaxing too.
This Motel is exactly what a small, non chain operation should be. Daryl, the owner was super friendly and present for anything you might need. He kindly upgraded my room as I have some difficulty climbing steps to the upper floor. The office and property were beautifully maintained. The room was very clean, fresh and generally updated for an older property. The TV and wifi worked well and there was a nice big fridge. There were 2 comfy chairs outside our door to sit and relax. The location is perfect..close to town but not in a noisy area. We could not have been more pleased! Thanks for a terrific overnight on our fall jaunt!

Lake George is a charming destination, and this motel is a charming place to stay! Heavily reminiscent of old school family vacations, this motel is a tiny treasure that packs a huge punch. I’ve read the reviews about the small rooms, and yes- they’re a little small, but you’re within walking distance of the village and you’re situated directly on the most beautiful lake in NY, so how much time are you really going to spend in the room outside of sleeping anyway? And the room itself is very well appointed. There’s a brand new bathroom, it’s all clean as a whistle, comfortable beds with superior pillows, clean linens and towels that are definitely above average for motels. There’s a desk, a microwave, a mini fridge with freezer, plenty of storage, a/c, plenty of outlets, a charging station, and blackout curtains. Outside the room, you’ll find window boxes and hanging planters overflowing with petunias, and little tables and chairs for patio seating. Walking toward the lake, you’ll find three tiers of seating- there’s a pool area with patio chairs, picnic areas, and a fireplace. The pool is crystal clear and heated to 82°. The motel supplies towels so you don’t have to bring them from the room. The second tier has grills, seating, and a fire pit. Then you can go down an additional tier where you’ll find kayaks, a swimming area, and docks with additional seating and a second level observation deck as well. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. The front desk has tons of advice on different activities depending on your interests. Maintenance is constantly running around making sure everything is perfect. There are evening activities on the pool deck, as well. We participated in root beer floats night, s’mores night, and ice cream sundaes night. All activities are included in your stay! The motel is within walking distance of everything in the village, and there’s tons to do there, too. We went to a wax museum, went parasailing, visited the Fort, took a day cruise, did some mini golfing, ate at some great local restaurants, and of course sun bathed at Million Dollar Beach. We highly recommend this motel and Lake George in general!

Stayed at the hotel with a group of seniors for their class trip. Obviously we were limited on our prices in choosing a hotel. We couldn't have been more satisfied. The prices were reasonable and the staff went out of their way to help with our stay.

Stayed 3 nights instead of 4, left early due to foul odor in our cabin. Stay was paid through 8/29 Pool was nice, “Brookview cabin” was truly located next to a brook. The rushing water helped to mask the sound of the highway. There are two grills and a kitchen available for everyone to use. Guests do not keep the kitchen or grills clean. We purchased Lysol wipes, utensils and aluminum foil for the grill. AC unit was dirty, we requested the housekeeping staff clean it; they did. Room remained smelly and the odor increased over the course of our stay. Manager was very angry when we checked out early, did not offer to adjust the cost of stay for the odor. We suggested they air out the cabin, check under it before more guests check in. Website states no adjusts/refunds so we didn’t even ask. We were hopeful they would offer due to the smell, it was a really offensive odor. Decay. Manager asked why I was checking out early despite prepaying through the next day; I told them the room had an overwhelming odor. She accused us of leaving due to the rain. We had been enjoying local restaurants, mini-golf and shopping- even with the rain. She said the cabin might smell strongly because of the rain. It was a smell or decay/rot. Room cost $705.96 for 4 nights, we paid extra to upgrade to a cabin for privacy/quiet to be away from the highway.

Studio Motel of Lake George is destination of choice for families to relax in beautiful Adirondack Park, nestled in twelve acres of lush green tall pines and surrounded by majestic mountains, the guests really feel themselves in the lap of nature.
Studio Motel provides great-value-for-money accommodation comprising clean spacious rooms, utility equipped kitchenette, simple amenities and a cool swimming pool. The water pressure in the showers is good and so is the internet and cable TV service. It is ideally located in a quiet corner just about 15 minutes walk from the town center. Idyllic walking trails on conveniently located on the other side. The facility is maintained by very gracious owners Naeem & Ikra and very polite and efficient employees Ethan & others. Our friends group (crowd?) of 7 couples in booked 7 rooms – and every one of us was truly delighted with the stay at Studio Motel and the trip to the Lake George this August. We are likely to revisit next year with more friends – and will surely rebook at the Studio Motel.
