The largest of Italy’s fresh-water lakes, Lake Garda is located in northeast Italy. Tourists traveling here will find plenty of excursions and activities to keep them entertained year-round—everything from visiting hilly wine regions to exploring 14th-century castles. The towns and communities surrounding Lake Garda offer easy day trips from Venice, easily accessible by car or train. Major sights include the towns of Sirmione (which attracts most Lake Garda visitors thanks to its historic Rocca Scaligiera castle) and Riva del Garda (for the Varone waterfalls located nearby), as well as the region’s hills, which offer numerous hiking trails for adventurous walkers.

Bertoletta Village, surrounded by olive trees and Lugana Vineyards, was born from a complete renovation of a traditional farmhouse dating 1919. The property is located within the Frassino Lake area, on the east bank of it. The Garda beaches and the historic centre of Peschiera are just a kilometre and a half away, while in a few minutes' drive you can reach Verona, its Fair, the Arena, Gardaland, Terme di Sirmione and several others amusement parks of the area.
We enjoyed our 1 week stay at Bertoletta very much. We stayed in a “side cottage” which was quite large and had a new kitchen and bathroom which were very nice. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception are also very kind and helpfull with all the questions we had and also helped with reservations for restaurants, parking (Venice) etc. The children also enjoyed the pools which were already opened and also the location is great if you want to make trips to villages at the lake, as well as Verona, Venice, etc. We will probably come back soon!

I cannot imagine there being anything else like this special place in the whole of the lake. After visiting here, we will never go anywhere else. Raffael was the perfect host and his knowledge of where to spend your precious days when visiting Lake Garda was invaluable. We saw many unique places that would never be found by looking online or at ‘best of’ etc. The pictures will never do it justice, a true gem.

Hotel Casa Piantoni is surrounded by a beautiful olive grove and just a short walking distance away from the beach of Lake Garda. Up to the charming center of Limone sul Garda it is about 600 meters so it is easily reached by a lovely walk on foot. Our house offers a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding nature.
We stayed 4 nights in Limone at Casa Piantoni. Very friendly and warm service. Basic hotel/garni with all necessities, close to beach and in walking distance to town. Can recommend this garni if you are looking for cheap and good accommodation in Limone.

This relais & châteaux property offers stunning views of Lake Garda - the Latin inscription in the mosaic floor of the lake front balcony « you think heaven has fallen here » evokes the lake view very well. Villa Fiordaliso is a beautiful historic hotel. Its waterfront seems ideal for a social event. The historic rooms are elegant, and well appointed. The hotel was extremely quiet. The Camélia room has a beautiful covered balcony from where to enjoy the lake. We did not dine in the restaurant, but enjoyed breakfast by the lake (under the canopy tent). We found one particular thing lacking at this hotel: a little hospitality. Tepid welcome. We were basically shown to our room. The room is a walk up to the third floor - we did not mind that at all, but should be noted for guests who may have reduced mobility.

We wanted to visit Gardaland so we stayed at Villa Chiara. This is family owned B&B, they are all involved in running the business. Owners are great, polite, and ready to fulfill all you needs. Buffet breakfast was very good, followed by Italian espresso :-). Wifi is available at no cost. Free parking across the street. All in all a decent stay and we will come back again.

Thanks to its beautiful balconies on Garda Lake, to the magnificent silhouette of the Alps, and to the extraordinary climate of the zone, Villa Onofria is one of the most fascinating residence in Sirmione. The elegant atmosphere, the exclusive location make Villa Onofria an ideal place both for those who travel alone and in small groups, in general for anyone is looking for the warmth of a home and the comforts of a hotel. Villa Onofria apartments are completely furnished, in a very stylish and elegant way, attention to details make the suites extremely comfortable and pleasant, highlighting the pleasure of life, just a few steps from the lake
This review has grade reflective of the attention received once staying in the property.Firstly I will state the positive points for this stay. View of lake and location amazing. Bed was comfortable Well maintained garden Now for the not so positive: Ants on the first day-man came to bring spray to eradicate. Air con non existent- 27 in room all week, very uncomfortable to sleep. Told Rosa, waited days for an engineer, came but made no difference! Too noisy outside to sleep with windows open! When I kept complaining to Rosa about heat she sent me the weather report and told me to open the windows! Not what I would have expected! A holiday with little sleep due to the heat in the villa is not great! Fridge door doesn’t close properly-food had to be thrown out as we hadn’t realised. Patio door so hard to open and close from outside. Shower very small and leaked. Radiator in bathroom leaked! Kettle leaks The swimming pool stopped working whilst we were there and we had to wait again for an engineer . Maid came once with towels and sheets but took them away again so didn’t come in. I had the same towels and sheets for 1 week, not really acceptable! Rosa had messaged stating the maid would come-she never did! No bottle opener or oven trays for cooking Minimal information within the property, I get the idea Rosa wants the bookings but can’t really be bothered with staying guests. Found out more from neighbours during our stay re dining etc than info. This place could be so much better! I feel Rosa should listen to her guests and put things right in a speedy manner. Not ignore messages hoping they will go away. I really loved Lake Garda everywhere was so beautiful and was hoping to be able to recommend villa onofria to friends, however due to poor attention to detail and customer service I cannot. I paid for an air conditioned villa. That is not what I got, therefore -false advertising. Must visit sirmione Town it’s truly stunning!

Art Nouveau villa recently restored, only a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Riva del Garda and the lake. Simplicity and hospitality come together to provide a friendly and convivial atmosphere.
We stayed a week in an apartment on the first floor. It was spacious and comfortable with a little balcony to sit outside. About 5-10 minutes from old town and waterfront, it was nice to get away from the bustle of the town centre. The owners are friendly. We only had breakfast on the first day, it was a fairly standard continental buffet with cereal, yogurt, pastries, cold cuts/cheese etc. The cleaners came to make beds/empty the bins every day and we had fresh linen halfway through the week.

The elegant Villa Italia, dating back from the period of the Belle Epoque and recently renovated, offers apartments, rooms and suites in the centre of Arco. The liberty architecture of the Villa and its design furniture manage to combine a contemporary identity and innovative services with the timeless charm of the past. Each room is unique and dedicated to an important figure in the history of Arco. Villa Italia is ideal for the lovers of a refined but informal atmosphere, for all those who prefer the freedom, independence and intimacy of a charming villa. Just a stone's throw from the castle, from the most famous climbing walls and the shores of Lake Garda and Riva del Garda (5 km), it is the perfect starting point for different outdoor activities and excursions in the territory. The guests can chill out in the green Mediterranean garden or on the panoramic terrace, with a unique view of the castle, or relax in the indoor swimming pool, in the sauna or in the Turkish bath.
The villa is a beautifully preserved late 1800s. All the rooms were tastefully furnished with beautiful bathrooms and fluffy towels (my passion). Breakfast was very consistent served by Daniel, a lovely person. Niccolò on reception was exceptional, He told us the history of the villa, which was very interesting. What a lovely holiday! We were made to feel really special.

Relaxing and informal We stayed here parents and 2 teens for our summer holidays. The place had everything we hoped for: nice basic (clean) rooms, a good (plentiful) breakfast, a nice pool with nice surroundings ( beautiful roses and olive trees on the sloped lawn), not too big a place, and very friendly staff. It is even closer to the lake than we thought, and we never had to worry about getting a sun bed. Don’t go here if you want a place with loud music and activities. Go here if you want a family feel, and a slow pace.

Villa Bissiniga is a unique place, ideal for any Holiday. The elegance and comfort of the rooms will privilege you as guests. You will be greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The gardens and the park of the Villa Bissiniga host the animals and the botanical path. The solarium terrace and the Tavern for meeting complete the services of the house. A relaxing experience enjoying the sun of Garda Lake.
Perfect accommodation in a beautiful old villa. Interior was great. The outside area was a bit cheap and crappy: pool beds and umbrella’s broken, lots of different chairs, bit messy. Grass was yellow everywhere. I would go for better design/quality outside. Dont be pennywise and pound foolish. Ps. We think there was a ghost. Our door suddenly got janked in the middle of the night, lights turned on out of nowhere.
