Located within the 57,000 acre Loisaba Conservancy, Elewana Loisaba Lodo Springs offers an ultra-private experience with eight individual, spacious tented rooms with impressive views that reach across the magical landscape of northern Kenya stretching out to Mount Kenya. Loisaba sits on a vital Elephant Corridor connecting the famous Laikipia Plateau and plays a key role in supporting one of Kenya's largest and most stable lion populations. The Conservancy is also home to several critically endangered large mammals, including Grevy’s zebra, wild dog, leopard and cheetah.
If William and Kate were going on safari, this is where they would stay. The location, nestled on a hillside, the "tents" were incredible. Ours was huge, spacious, with gorgeous furnishings and amenities., and a wide, covered deck overlooking a watering hole, the wilderness and a long view toward Mt. Kenya. The common areas - pool, dining room, pathways, were all gorgeous, with exotic African woods, tapestries, artwork. The food was excellent, interesting, varied, authentic, delicious. Also, the staff was wonderful - we were there on Valentines Day. During dinner they all came out in a congo line singing and bringing a cake for us to enjoy. It was really special. Our driver and guide, Festus, was above and beyond; he was well educated on the Loisaba Conservancy; the animals, birds, flora, geology and history. His friendly and easy demeanor made our time there super memorable.

The fire place is amazing, the rooms and food are basic the staff are helpful. You get to sleep well in a peaceful serene environment and get to hear cricket sounds. Everything was all good until we had issues with paying with card because the machine had no network. Long story short, the owner Purity has a don't care attitude, feels entitled and does not care for customer's needs. We were told she doesn't care she wants to see the transaction reflected or we call her to explain while she was just sited in her house that is in the same compound. Also provide serviettes to your guests and ensure your cottages are well maintained. Nobody wants to pay to sleep with spiders, cob webs and snails. Cage your dogs as well and have someone at the gate. I

A home a way from home gateway, Surrounded by natural vegetation. Exceptional views of mount kenya. Storms resort is 16 km out of Nanyuki town (on the Nanyuki - Doldol road). Neighboring the Ol-pejeta conservancy, Lolldaiga Farm house and Mount Kenya. The main lodge is located on the banks of the Nanyuki river and hosts both indoor and outdoor restaurants and bars. We have plenty of activities such as mountain biking, hiking, bird watching etc.
Where do I even begin?! The rooms were filthy, there was no seating provision in the rooms, the water heaters wouldn't work, the chef decided to take leave and we couldn't get a decent bite to eat. We were served with a "meal" we did not order and that too was revolting (had to give it away to the guards without even having a taste) and to add a cherry to the cake, we were forced to have breakfast even when we clearly stated we needed to leave in a rush. Beware, the shining reviews on this place seen properly fabricated as the place is NOTHING like it is made out to be! Horrid... if I could give it negative stars, I totally would!

During my stay I Nanyuki ajnd Old house was my home for three days. During my stay I happened to make friends with Kariuki our tour Guide, Githinji, wamuyu. I would like to comment and congratulate you for a five star breakfast. Your rooms are very clean and generally the environment is good with umpolluted air. House keepers are friendly and I say thank you. There is a lady I met at the reception and and those serving breakfast thank you. Do a little effort and do a little marketing. Install intercom in your rooms for ease of communication between your rooms a reception. Finally thank yo you, asante, Niwega muno... Looking forward to come back again very soon. I recommend those are visiting Nanyuki not choose any other place but Old house is value of money and olpajeta and Mt Kenya National park.. I made upto cam Moses Regards Wilson Kabata.

Rooms were clean and food ok. No special charm but very adequate if you are passing through Nanyuki and want to spend the night here. They have a tv in the dining/breakfast room which was a nice extra for us as we could watch the worldcup football here.

Kicheche Laikipia is an eco-award-winning small luxurious tented camp nestled in the shadows of Mount Kenya at the foot of an indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole. The camp’s squeaky green safari chic marries beautifully and sensitively with the natural highs of her surrounds in the wilderness zone of Ol Pejeta.
Everything about this camp is excellent - the accommodation, food and Louise and her team. Wildlife viewing was plentiful with our super guide Peter. Would definitely come back again Very peaceful camp. There is nothing not to like.
