Reviewed By Pimprenelle66The room was a little odd. Yes it's very different but having the bath right to the bed was weird. I suppose a third person could have slept beside us in the bath? And the bathroom with no door.. I like to have some privacy when I use the bathroom so I really didn't like that. For breakfast, the owner arrived after a few of the guests were already waiting to eat. So we had to wait until she prepared breakfast. If it says that breakfast is served at 600am, it should be ready for the guests. Difficult to find a parking. We loved that it's in center of Lahr where it's so beautiful and typical.

Reviewed By Gandalf62Used as an overnight stop on our way back home in August, we stayed at this hotel in a junior suite. The suite is decorated in a classic style and has all the amenities one needs. There are two TV’s, a minibar, a sitting corner and a spacious bed. The bathroom has a bath and shower. The WC is separate which is always pleasant. The suite was extremely clean, even in the corners! Although the gourmet restaurant was closed, “Das Gasthaus” offered superb food and wines. Do I have to say that breakfast was also delicious? We were looking for a perfect overnight stop on our way home and we found it! Thank you, Fam. Fehrenbacher, until next year!

Worth the wait
Reviewed By TheorenticalWe attempted to eat here twice before managing to get a table. Kept showing up too late in the day, too early or on their ruhetag. Definitely worth the wait though. Food was great and the staff were kind and patient while we practiced our German. We really enjoyed the goulash, schnitzel paniert and the rahmsoße. The upstairs portion of the restaurant is smoke free. Would go again :)

Sauce on the side, which made it very easy to add a lot or a little. Father-in-law had pork medallions. Enjoyed all. Had cappuccino on the patio. Nice and peaceful.

Quiet Hotel with Great Breakfast
Reviewed By ERAUEEStayed at the Hotel am Westend for one night in mid-December for business. The room was very nice, clean and very quiet. The breakfast consisted of a well-stocked buffet with all the fixings, even eggs, and omelets. The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

Reviewed By amedesmots187253Bien situé ( 20 minutes de Europapark ) Parking gratuit Accueil un peu froid mais semble typique dans cet arrière pays =) ne parle que Allemand mais on se débrouille quand on veut s'exprimer chambre propre , correcte niveau m2 le bémol c'est que les WC et douche privatisées sont en dehors de la chambre =) un WC et une grande salle de bain dans 2 autres pièces c'est juste un peu déstabilisant mais tant que c'est uniquement pour nous c'est le principal . on rend les clefs le matin sans passer par l'accueil simplement sur la table de la chambre . Possibilité de boire un verre ou de manger au bar juste en dessous sinon MC pas loin =) pour infos pour retirer de l'argent cela se fait au station essence bisous à vous lecteur français

Gemütliches, modernes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
Reviewed By mrreiseHabe 2 Nächte im Hotel Schwanen verbracht und war insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt: Auf der Homepage steht bei der Zimmerausstattung was von einem Wasser/Teekocher, ich habe aber in meinem Zimmer leider keinen vorgefunden. Ebenfalls gut die Lage (man ist in ein paar Gehminuten am Marktplatz / Bushaltestelle Lahr Schlüssel praktisch gleich um die Ecke) und die kostenlosen Parkmöglichkeiten direkt hinter dem Hotel. Ich kann die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen, vor allem weil mich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überzeugte.
