Staff doesn't seems to be happy working there, doesn't even bother to speak English to travellers and insist to speak in freaking Malay. Burgers are in it's miniature size and it's bun was hard like a bloody stone. Chicken are serve cold, fries were cold! Impossible to park your car to go to this outlet, location is only good for night meal. Try other local food and i strongly recommend you to do so.

This small cafe' is located at the back of the mall almost hidden from view. An ideal place to relax and enjoy light meals including fast foods. A typical local cafe' offering fried rice and noodles and drinks. Free wifi is also available. Friendly and good service provide comfortable atmosphere.

I was happy to eat in an airy, cool, and clean restaurant for lunch during our brief stop over in town on the way back into the forest. The staff in this Chinese restaurant was friendly and efficient and the food quite good. I particularly liked the lightly fried battered vegetables which included okra. I kept having to remind myself, however , that I was not having dim sum in downtown Manhattan!
The round tables complete with lazy Susans and parties filled with Chinese families seemed oddly familiar. The only time I was sure we were in a different place was when my host explained that the tasty meat dish we were spooning on to our rice was local deer harvested by hunting - likely with a homemade shotgun.
The food was fresh and tasty and the restaurant had tanks to keep the fish happy before their demise. Certainly a worthwhile respite if you find yourself here.

As there are hardly any vegetarian options at the restaurants in Lahad Datu, this was a dream find. My boyfriend and I ate here 3 times during our stay because the food was so good and there really were not many other restaurants with veg options in town. Each time, we chose 4-5 dishes from the buffet and tea. This included some fake meat/tofu, mushroom, and greens dishes. All of it was incredibly good and cheap.
We were only in town as a stop-over to Danum Valley Field Centre so it was also conveniently located near the DVFC office and the airport. When we visited, the menu was only in Chinese so we just had to point out what we wanted. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a veg or healthy or authentic Chinese meal - or just a good, cheap meal in general.
