I've been coming to JoJo's Pretzels for almost twenty years, and these are the ONLY soft pretzel that I eat! These pretzels are made from scratch while you watch and are served to you hot from the oven. You can order different dips to go with them, and while the only 'proper' option is cheddar cheese on a plain salted pretzel, there are many different possibilities for people with other tastes. These pretzels make the three hour drive that it takes for me to visit well worth it, and I can't wait for the next time I can make it in!

Their ice cream is fantastic, especially the caramel turtle cheesecake. Also, and this is not coming from a big hot dog fan, I love their chili dogs! Omg, so good! The only downfall is that they don't accept cards so remember to bring cash. Must visit!

This was the best shaved ice I ever enjoyed! Price was reasonable. Size was good. My husband actually paid for the treat for the young girl in front of us and she was excited.

We were at Elmira for fish on Thursday evening, not busy, waitress was very accommodating, fish dinner was very good.We decided to take the family on the following Friday night, not a good idea,an hour wait , fish overcooked. This restaurant is not handicap happy, the parking lot dark and dangerous. Where to go for fish, of course , Elmira.

I worked at the bakery in the late seventies as a teenager. We stopped there or a donut and for some nostalgia. We were pleasantly pleased by both. The back room looks the same as it ever did. The counter server allowed me to go back and do a bit of reminiscence. The donuts tasted pretty much the same maybe a little different but not much. The diamonds we're glorious as always the fried Danish were a little bit smaller than I remember but still very good. Good old mr. Foltz was a grouchy old guy but he treated me well. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work there it was a lot of fun.

Just a couple minutes south of the tollway, Howe restaurant is definitely worth the visit! 24 hour breakfast and just about anything else you can imagine on the menu. It’s obvious that the staff and owner Angelo are serious about high quality service, great food at a great price, and an excellent experience for the customer. So glad to have found this place.

A small ice cream shop with limited seating inside but a lot scattered around outside. The servers were friendly and patient with us while we decided on a flavor. The ice cream had that homemade taste and was very flavorful. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and it was crowded and appeared to be the local thing to do.

My wife and I seem to have a knack (or just dumb luck) when it comes to finding - mostly by accident - nice little places during our travels. We recently were in Shipshiwana, IN, and wanted a light dinner and a couple of drinks. Most everything in Shipshiwana closes down at 5 PM and a cocktail is very hard to find. A quick search found a couple of prospects in LaGrange, about 10 miles down the road. A drive-by lead us to Romer's, although seemingly almost empty. But since it was a Tuesday evening, we factored that in. We decided to go in and have a drink and see what happened after that.
This was a newly reopened place, having changed hands just three weeks prior. You could see that there were just a few very minor issues with new management and staff. We saw a couple of waitresses come to Mitch, the bartender/manager, for clarification on a few things; but certainly nothing serious. Just everybody learning the ropes.
We had a couple of drinks, and a burger and a club sandwich. The food was delicious, absolutely no way to improve on that. Service was fast and responsive. The place was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Mitch was very informative, giving us a history of the place, giving us a little local background, and engaging us in conversation about ourselves. All in all, a very pleasant evening.
It was one of those nice little places, known almost exclusively to locals, which makes getting off the beaten path so interesting and rewarding.

When the newly built Blue Gate Restaurant & Bakery opened it doors on August 4th, 2001 in Shipshewana, the entire town was invited over for dinner. As one of Indiana's largest restaurants, the Blue Gate comfortably seats 600 (more than the town's population). Built to reflect the surrounding community, the Blue Gate resembles a rambling white farmhouse, similar to those that dot the surrounding Amish coutnryside. An award winning restaurant serving a world famous Family-style meal that features pressure fried chicken and 3 other meats, real mashed potatoes, Amish noodles, plus lots of other sides and 25 varieties of pies to choose from
The food is simply delicious and not only delicious but everything tasted so fresh. The restaurant is beautiful, huge and has a pleasant and friendly vibe. The server was very nice and friendly as well. She made sure I was happy with what I ordered. They have an amazing bakery. I took home a Dutch Apple Pie, some Apple Butter and Peanut Butter as well. Anytime I am in town this will be my go-to restaurant. I have to take a moment to mention the ladies bathroom, holy guacamole I've never seen a bathroom that big and beautifully decorated.
