We enjoyed our dining experience at Marty's Place. We arrived early for our reservation and were greeted by a lovely hostess who seated us the bar while we waited for our table. Enjoyed nice drinks served by a friendly bartender. Drinks were not overly expensive, in my opinion. This is a super club after all. Our table server made our dining experience very pleasant and she had plenty of help when large groups arrived. Staff seemed to work well together. We all enjoyed our meals, including my teenaged son who devoured his Wiener schnitzel. We are happy that German dishes are now available daily. Dined here a couple of years ago, but our recent visit was much better. Cozy, up north atmosphere. Supper 'clubbing' in its classic form. Relish tray is a nice touch.

We stopped in after a day in the Minocqua area for a late lunch, there were five in our family group, 1 pre-teen and 1 teenager and three adults. When we arrived the waitress/hostess tried it seat us at a table that would only accommodate four people - the restaurant was not full and there were plenty of tables available. We refused and asked to be seated at a table that would actually accommodate our party - the waitress/hostess was not pleased with our request to be seated at a larger table but eventually walked over to a larger table and tossed the menus down.
We had a different person as our waitress - service was a bit slow and the waitress did not check in with us on our needs often - i.e. drinks.
Two of us had the vegetarian lasagna - noodles were under cooked and overall poor taste. One of us had the ravioli and another had the tortellini - average to below average. The bread sticks that came with out meals were good - the best part of the meal actually.
The final member of our party had a pizza - this was decent and tasty, very thin crust which worked in this case.
We also ordered an appetizer of cheese sticks - warning stay away from them, not good - they tasted like a poor commercial variety of cheese stick.
Overall very poor food and service and we would not go back.
Best part of the meal was the view of the lake.

Went with a coupon to the porkfest buffet. It was ok. Whole pig was interesting but most everything was pre made packaged items not homemade like the buffets here that I remember. There was a decent variety but tables were not cleared and we had a waitress that was less than interested in serving us. Lisa kept shouting to us I'll be right there I'll get to you in a minute. Slow service and unprofessional! That goodness for the coupon

The beautiful wooded lot makes a wonderful backdrop for this restaurant set back from the lake. Lots of good hors d'oeuvres upon arrival. The disappointment came with the room temperature and scrawny overpriced crab legs. There isn't much to say for the bland fish either when dozens of taverns around plate up beautiful fish fries every Friday night at a lower price. The coleslaw was good, the corn fritters were like fried tasteless rubber in bad need of the corn syrup (called maple syrup) that is served with them. We did have friendly service.

The Aberdeen Restaurant provides diners a chance to enjoy a great meal in a beautiful Northwoods setting. Under new ownership/management in 2014, our cuisine & ambiance is gaining a strong following from both residents and tourists. Accessible year around by car and seasonally by boat or snowmobile, Aberdeen can also accommodate large groups.
We really enjoyed our dinner here and our kiddos liked the crisscut fries a lot! Service was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly! My husband and I both agreed that we will be back!!

We've been coming here for years. Beautiful lake view!!! Saturday night smoked prime rib is SOOOOO AWESOME!!! Actually, everything is great! All home-style cooking. Big bar & great drinks, also!!! Friendly service, also! They smoke fish & sell it, too, which is wonderful!!!

we love this place for a breakfast that is always consistent ! We love the breakfast sandwich and the Minnow, unique name for a delicious entree. Everything is perfect including the coffee cake which is right on the table (perfect for our hungry toddler!!) We love the waiter!!!

It's an old building, the carpets are worn... but, we love their fish fry and they have great broasted chicken. We don't need to be in a fancy new place and pay a lot of money for fair food, would rather have it the other way around, it's an old place with good prices and good food. But, word of warning to those who don't like smoke, people can smoke in the bar area but not in the restaurant/eating area. It's probably the one reason why we only go there once in a while.

Loved this place can't believe we have missed it all these years. Will definitely become our go to breakfast spot. Nicole our waitress was full of spunk and attitude. Making you feel like you are at home!! Thanks for the memorable morning.

In need of finding a free Wifi spot Timber Trail is one of the first on the west side of Minocqua, especially if you are vacationing in the Lac du Flambeau area. A nice comfortable place to work online, better than many Starbucks, room for others to meet and shop as well as a fireplace setting to talk with friends. For a strip mall shopping center the coffee and food were satisfactory and the accessibility meant everything. Will stop again.
