Many issues with this resort..no air conditioning, rats that run through rafters in living room of cabin, no hot water for days..ready to pack my bag and leave it was hell in paradise..spend extra money and go to jarabacoa river resort much better. If you are not fluent in spanish don't worry no one here speaks english but the owner who only comes by every few days

We stopped off while exploring the area and found a hidden gem in the works. The Hotel/BB is still being renovated but what they have done so far is terrific. After touring the property we stayed for lunch and we were not disappointed. It was one of the better meals we have had in a while.Junior went out of his way to make sure we had what we wanted and explained in detail what was offered. The food an service was excellent. I had some of the best BBQ ribs I have had in the last 9 years of living here. Others in our party had chicken fingers (best I have tasted) and an eggplant Parm which also was excellent. Prices were moderate and certainly not out of line.We will eat here again for sure and probably spend a weekend at the "lodge" as well.BObKEstimado BobkAgradecemos el tiempo para comentar de su experiencia en nuestro restaurante. Muy buena comida, los tragos EXCELENTÃSIMOS, y el servicio completo! me encanta el ambiente general, la música, la estructura, es como entrar a la era de la edad media, donde quiera que miras es precioso, tienen libros reales de la edad media, tiene toda clases de reliquias, la pasas muy bien allá, comes rico, te sirven rico, bebes rico, la pasas full rico! el mejor lugar que tiene Jarabacoa!

I really recommend this place if you want feel the nature. The view from my cabain was amazing. The owner from this place can help you a lot, whatever you want. You can use the pool, you can walk around and you will be safe.

Everything I had was very good, drinks are amazing and the service is very good. Try the pizza and the the lasagna and you will be very happy about going to Plaza Alterra. If you are in the area don't miss it.

Food was excellent. We order a variety of meats "Parrillada" and the favors, temperature and presentation were superb.Definitely a place to relax and have great food as well as relaxing atmosphere.Service was excellent and prices were very reasonable ....!Cheers to De Parrillada. We will be back.

I've the opportunity to visit a few restaurants in Jarabacoa but we keep coming back to Barak Restaurant. Not only the food it's great and affordable but the service is amazing! Since we got there, we noticed the place was magical. We got our menu days before and were so excited about it because it sounded amazing. Their service is familiar but very professional, they all know what theyâre doing and thatâs why food and wine taste so good. The food seems deeply studied to be combined with the perfect match, and the whole dinner was a new experience for us. Will definitely come back with friends!Dear Lia.
