Kidlat Tahimik's Oh My Gulay is a must-visit place on Session Road in Baguio. The view of the city it offers is breathtaking. OMG is great for the whole family but everyone should be prepared to climb several flights of stairs to the place. The menu will make Heneral Luna proud!
This is my second visit and I always ask for their hot coco. Reminds me of what my mother used to prepare for us when we were kids.

I would always look forward to our trips to Baguio because it meant having a wonderful dinner at Forest House. Unfortunately, my last visit was a huge disappointment, mainly because they have removed the bagnet entree from the menu and only the bagnet appetizer remains. Had repeatedly mentioned to the server when we were ordering that I wanted several orders of the 'family serving size' of the bagnet which is good for around 3-4 people since we were a big group. After a long wait, what was finally served were the small appetizer portions. While it may have been a case of miscommunication, the servers could have done a better job of explaining the changes in the menu.

A Miele Guide-awarded restaurant located in the historic Casa Vallejo. Our menu ranges from Spanish to slow-cooked meals inspired by hill stations.
I was looking forward to visiting Hill Station for all the many positive reviews so admittedly there was some expectations. However I've come to realize that the reviews we mostly focus on the ambiance and very very less about the quality of food they serve and their service.
For starters, we had Calamari and Sisig. The dip for the Calamari were tasteless, no kick/no salt/no nothing... i asked for Aoili so to understand their quality. Sisig is okay, again very average.
For mains, most of the ones I initially wanted to order such as Cambodian Chicken, Lechon Kawali with Laing and another dish were not available (we're here lunch time). So I ordered the Salpicao as recommended by the server. Salpicao was served well and tender but tasteless. Thai Seafood curry is nowhere close to anything curry. It was bland and over cooked. Finally, the Paella, is okay in terms of taste. It was a plate good for 3-4 and they served it with one slice of lemon.
Over all, sadly there's consistency to tastelessness or blandness.
Personally I think it's over rated, over priced, food is nothing special and service could be better.

If you love strawberry shortcake, this is the best place to buy it. Just wish they have a branch in Manila ?

This is just along Magsaysay Ave. Just right before entering Private Rd and Cathedral of the Resurrection. Easily be accessed through private and public traspo. No parking lot so locate a parking space nearby but maybe for single motorcycle infront of the resto. Yummy food variety to offer. Fast service. If you're looking for somewhere to offer you fresh fruits and vegies, here's the resto for you.

Its one of the few good restaurants in the Municipality of La Trinidad, offering a mishmash of cuisines from International, Chinese, Filipino. One can either directly choose from the dishes displayed for your "budget meals' or order from the menu.

I was about 10 years old the last time I was in Baguio City. Now several decades later and with my own daughter who's celebrating her third birthday in tow, I re-experience Baguio. My first gustatory experience of the summer capital of the Philippines is Good Taste. Looking like a mall from the outside, you will not believe how enormous this restaurant is! If I'm not mistaken, we had to eat at the 6th floor because all other floors were packed to the brim. The food is a fusion of Filipino and Chinese favorites at an affordable price. The servings per person can be shared by two. Be prepared to satisfy that belly busting hunger you have because they have tons of food you can choose from in their menu. The downside? The wait time can make a patient man go crazy. The service crew will also benefit from some training on responsiveness and genuine customer service. I would love to go back and try their other food offerings.

If you like to deviate from your comfort food (that is meat), visit Health 101 Restaurant at the Gladiola Bldg (pink building near Landbank La Trinidad Branch). They serve veggie meat cooked in different ways like: steak, curry, adobo, and chopsuey among others with free soup. They serve budget meals and plated meals from their menu. They also serve concoctions of fruit and veggie drinks which is a must try.
For merienda or dessert, they have wheat siopao, oatmeal bars, cheese cakes and chocolate cake. They also sell organically grown veggies.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating---fast service for the hungry tummy. ;-)

The place is owned by Miss Maccha Okada, a Japanese lady who has stayed in the Philippines for several years now. Some of the coffee and tea that she serves are organic and how I love her chamomile cake. It's a very cozy and quiet place where you can just get away from your stressful environment and have a sip of tea or coffee and you're fixed!
The price is really affordable considering the tea that Kape Bantay serves are patiently pressed and dried so you can really smell the aroma and natural taste.

We started with two delicious salads- Insallata di Pollo and Marianne’ Special. To us seniors, Marianne’s Special tasted better. We had Foie Gras Pizza , White Pizza, Ala Romana Pizza, Radu Bolognese, Frutti di Mare & Ala Gamberi. Obviously, these are more than enough for six people! If not, it would have been a totally clean plate for all. We were happy & very full. Thanks too to our excellent server Mikey.
