Clean and quite spacious room (each room seems to have a different colour. We stayed in the pink room). Breakfast was good. Diner for guests except on Monday night. We missed diner so cannot comment. Finding a restaurant that is open on Monday is a challenge.

The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the volcano area. The reception and restaurant area of the hotel is very inviting, the room very basic and a bit dated - but the view when it is not cloudy is amazing. Some of the staff speaks English and they are all very friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner both nights and the food was really good and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

A nice wood panelled room and I had direct access to the garden through the French doors. Clement was very helpful, despite my lack of French. I recommend taking the evening meal which was very good and far better value than the restaurants in town.

Loved this bed and breakfast, located in Bourg Murat, in a strategic position, to prepare for your day hike to Fornaise Volcano! The price is only 45 euro per room with a very generous breakfast included. We were served a breakfast in a sunlit dining room with 10 types of local jams, fresh croissants and good coffee and hot chocolate. All you need for a good start of the day. The owner was friendly and accepted us late in the evening. There is a parking right in front of the room. Very quiet. No Wi Fi. Recommended!!! Excellent quality for money!!

Our room was in a small bungalow in green area. It is small but very comfortable and well heated. At 1600 meter above sea level it gets cold at night or when the sun disappears in the afternoon. If you want to see the volcano it is important to leave very early (at sun rise) as there often clouds in the afternoon. On our way back in the afternoon it was so foggy that we could see just 5 meters. There are no eating opportunities on walking distance except the hotel restaurant where the food is fine at prices similar as in France (but nothing to write home about)..it is situated about 1 km from the main road and it is better to have your own wheels, if you stay at this hotel. After having visited the volcano it is more pleasant to stay close to the coast as it is warmer and rains less.

On our way to Saint-Pierre we stop there for a night. The rooms are on the second floor with a communal kitchen and living. When we were there we were the only guest so we had everything for our own. Good beds, good shower and well equipped but small kitchen. The lady who runs Le Colibri is lovely and helps wherever she can. Good breakfast with all kind of fruit things from their own garden.
