VIENNA is a very European style restaurant offering traditional cuisine tastefully prepared and presented by attentive staff. Enjoy the excellent cuisine amid antiques, old prints and wood or relax over a drink at Vienna´s bar, listening to the music of f
Arrived after 18.00, the place was still completely dark. Staff were hanging around like they were in a coma. Got a table with an ashtray, hello, this is 2019. Nobody was able to utter an understandable succession of 5 words in English. The menu looked like part of it was cooked in some mysterious broth. Probably the first time in over 10 years that I have left a restaurant without ordering anything at all.Dear DISGUSTED customer: I want to thank you for your opinion. It clearly shows that TRIPADVISOR is loosing its credibility by publishing your disgusting commentary. To the facts: 1. There is a sign at the entrance indicating that the restaurant is open from 6:30 pm on â you showed up at 6:00. The service staff was setting up the dining room and getting ready for their evening shift. Nothing wrong if the waiters take it easy before the restaurant is open to the public2. You never entered the dining room â you were seated at a table in the bar of VIENNA where customers may smoke if the like. There is NO SMOKING in the dining room.3. You were never given the Dinner Menu â you got the menu for Aperitifs.4. You â coming to Bolivia from a First World Country should be the person who communicates in Spanish and not expect from a Bolivian waiter to speak English. Most of them â because of social reasons only go to school for 4 years. VIENNA is in business for 28 years and never received such an offensive y vulgar opinion which is not based on truthful facts at all.Anyway â nevertheless it shows the TRIPADVISOR is now publishing even insults which have no foundation at all. I hope you had a great time in La Paz. Paul Stach

The entrance ,a dimly lit stairway ,is both dreary and stark, but once inside there is character, charm, excellent service and very good food. We had a cheese fondue which was world class and a welcome change from the more typical restaurants. They had a full international menu ,as well as, Swiss specialties. They had someone see us to a taxi to make sure we were we would have no problems getting back to the hotel! This is a first operation!

For the prices this place is charging we expected authentic food but while it was good it wasn't great. The locally brewed beer is nice and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Lots of cute trinkets and signs decorate the place - it actually looks like a restaurant that could be in Germany. The menu is large so any cravings for deutsche Küche can surely be taken care of. We ordered curry wurst and pork knuckles, definitely worth having.
