Fun, upbeat, family-friendly with high-quality, New-Southern cuisine. A HUGE menu, huge kid's menu, and huge dessert menu with all items made from scratch, and unique desserts like "Kentucky Bacon Pie", "Fried Pineapple Upside Down Cake", "Banana Toffee Pie", and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee!
From Sunday brunch to weeknight dinner, One Nineteen rocks! Super casual atmosphere but the menu has some unique and tasty items. Our favorites are the Noobin Ruben appetizer, Haute Brown, Turkey dinner and a Al Carbon pasta dish (the name escapes me). Getting drink refills can be a challenge which is why they get 4 stars.

We got there 10 minutes before they closed but she was so accommodating and pleasant! We had several of their delicious baked cookies and devils food Whoopie Pie! Oh my.....that Whoopie Pie will make a believer out of anyone, it's that good. It is definitely worth finding. They close at 6 so plan accordingly. They are only about 1 mile off of Rt. 71 which makes it great if you're traveling. Wonderful and charming place! Add it to your list of place to go.

At La Grange Coffee Roasters we take fresh roasted coffee seriously. We make every effort to educate coffee lovers about truly fresh specialty coffee, not just what you can get in a can or at a drive thru. We want to help put "special" back in specialty coffee.
The Good: value, service, decor
The Bad: no knockout or unique
This is a nice small town coffee place with few food options. Its located in a gentrified old downtown. There is limited parking but plenty within a short walk. The exterior is nice with the general store sort of look.
The interior is kind of generic bare bricks coffee shop. Its neat and clean. The layout is a little confused with the order section unlabeled. The service was pleasant and quick. My latte was good.
The only food available was oatmeal since the pastry had all sold. There were no oddball specials or specialities.
The Road Word: its worth a 20 mile drive if you need a cup and maybe a walk.

Great sandwiches, best soup anywhere, great desserts, nice Milwaukee. We love the tomato artichoke soup-best soup around! Unusual sandwiches. Have to try it!

Dairy Queen has a surprisingly good breakfast menu. Unlike other fast food restaurants, DQ will cook your eggs to order. So, two eggs any style, hash browns, bacon and toast cost a whopping $5.00! Also, their biscuits and gravy taste so much better than Cracker Barrel's.

We are the best Mexican restaurant in town. Come & join us for a fun atmosphere, great food and party all day!
This is consistently the best restaurant in La Grange! The food is always delicious with a beautiful presentation. We love the back patio. You can almost think you are in Acapulco. But the best part is Jose! His personality, his warm, genuine, demeanor is a large part of why we consistently eat at El Acapulco in LaGrange.

Second visit. Bf had the pork bowl again and loved it. It's a bed of cornbread topped with baked beans, pulled pork, slaw, pickles, and onions. I had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. Both were good. I deducted a star because the pork could've been a bit smokier for me, but I'm from Alabama and like it that way. It was still good though. The sides are small and in my opinion should be a bit bigger.
The sweet tea was perfectly Southern. The service was good. Atmosphere is typical BBQ joint, as it should be. Definitely a place to go in Lagrange for good BBQ. My parents had the fish last time and loved it. Also noticed they have a new Sunday brunch. I was told it had pulled pork, chicken, all the normal sides on the menu, along with biscuits and gravy and sometimes steak and other meats on rotation.

Let's face it. This Crackel Barrel looks like all Cracker Barrels, from the entrance and gift shop to the dining room and fireplace. But that's OK, because the food is pretty good. Breakfast here included momma's pancakes, bacon and eggs and all were good. A good country style restaurant, unless you want to make the drive to nearby Smithfield and Our Best. Service was very good here, too.

Casual Family friendly atmosphere. Outisde Patio dining area with full bar. Multiple TVs in dining room and Patio. Friendly and courteous wait staff full service sit down restaurant. Kids Menu. Beer and wine served. Happy Hour specials Monday-Friday.
We have been before, our friends had not. We enjoyed some beer, wine (decent pour of mediocre wine) and hard liquor.
There was some mix up of veal parmigiana vs. the chicken parmigiana but overall the meal was very good. The ample portions are served with what appears to be a homemade yeast roll.
Our server was very nice and felt bad about the food mix up. The owner (?) stopped by for some friendly banter and we all said we would come back again.

Very curious about earlier reviews. We went because they were so praiseworthy, but were shocked at our own experience. I don't ever recall being so disgusted with a meal that I just tossed it. Ditto for my family members. Worse yet, was my feeling that if I complained the owners likely wouldn't care less.
We arrived on a weekday afternoon to a simple, borderline shabby building. This didn't affect us because some of the best bbq we've eaten has been in less than modest surroundings. After waiting several minutes, we were greeted by an inhospitable, cranky woman (we later found out was the owner)who immediately screamed toward the back of the kitchen for back up. Later, a teenager came out to take our order. She was also cross, less than helpful, and seemed annoyed at our presence. I am embarrassed to admit we stayed after being treated so rudely, but we were on a road trip, were hungry, and had just gone several miles out of our way.
We ordered pulled pork and brisket along with several sides, including baked beans, green beans, and fries. I am sorry to say, it was the worst bbq I've ever had, and suffice to say, somewhat scary. My son said his brisket tasted "chalky" and my pork sandwich, in addition to being bland, had a sawdust-like quality to it, with little evidence of actual meat in it. It was obvious something grainy was used as a filler. Everything else was equally bland, overcooked or canned, although I will never know for sure. After one bite of each, and knowing our business was not wanted and our health may be in jeopardy, we left, resolving never to return. I have eaten average bbq and many unmemorable meals but this food was highly suspicious. Don't waste your money.
