We visited while taking a coffee break on the Austin Houston run. The coffee is decent, there is a lot of variety in the bakery's offering, but I was honestly disappointed in the Kolache. I had a ham and cheese, and it would have likely been better if it was hot or even warm. It was cold and I didn't enjoy it. It was mid morning (9ish) so maybe they bake really early. I did ask the girl if it was warm when I bought it and she assured me it was.
Next trip we'll keep going until we hit Hruskas a little further down the road. Their Kolaches are always warm and fresh.

Talk about local flair! Latte on the Square hosts the Old Geezers group on a daily basis (they have their own reserved table). Latte has grown over the years, added breakfast items (the quiche is really good) and now has desserts for your sweet tooth.

I've had some really great steaks and thought this would be the place to get one, however, it was pretty average. It was a huge steak, however, it was pretty thin and the flavor was nothing to write home about. I loved the "bean" bar and the salad bar was good as well. The baked potato was great. The steak just was not thick enough to be cooked "medium rare" like I like it. My friend ate their whole steak; I did not. I would go back to try something else on the menu, however the steak was not a hit. The folks next to us had shrimp that looked good, however, I cannot speak to any other food they serve. The staff was friendly and the service was good. We had reservations which I understand are very important on a weekend. They also serve lunch I believe. Glad I went and will return. The prices were also reasonable, the steaks were under $20.

In all fairness, I do have to admit that we showed up to the bakery 15 minutes before closing time so there was nothing in the case but pre-bagged cookies. We purchased two bags, chocolate chip and sugar cookies. The lady gave us a discount due to her not having change so it came to an even $5. She was very nice and appeared to be the baker. The aromatic smell of an old bakery completes the ambience of such a novelty experience, I loved it! As for the cookies, well, not so much. They look beautiful but I found them to be a bit too dry for my personal taste. I would like to go earlier and try other items they have to offer on a future trip though.

This place almost looks a little questionable from the outside and the inside isn’t bad, but definitely looks like it’s been around awhile. Don’t let that fool you though, the food was good and the service was excellent. Their menu is varied and they offer salads with different proteins on them; grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, battered popcorn shrimp, just to name a few. I ordered the salad with popcorn shrimp and enjoyed it very much. My little one ordered the popcorn shrimp off of the kids menu and thought it was a little greasy, but still good. The salad itself was a star. It was fresh and crisp, and just good. Our waitress, whose name escapes me now, was just as sweet as could be. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

Stopped in today for our rookie visit. Reminded me of shopping with my Grandmother in the meat market many years ago. We enjoyed the brisket and sausage. Highly recommend both. My wife also enjoyed the macaroni salad and I devoured the mustard potato salad. We enjoyed it so much, we’re going back before we leave town.

We went to the drive through for a quick treat. Even changed our mind as we drove up to the pick up window. Not a problem since she hadn't started it. Friendly young lady changed our order and had it ready in a jiffy. We don't go here often since the treats are pretty high calorie, but it's fun as a treat!

We had the lasagna and instantly regretted it when we saw the first pizza delivered. Looked fantastic.
The lasagna turned out to be quite good though so all was not lost. Great side salad with ample ingredients.
Good selection of beer and a few wine choices.
The staff was friendly and helpful. This is just a good small town pizza place. They don’t make them like this anymore.
