The ibis budget Cherbourg La Glacerie hotel, opened in April 2013, offers 51 cocoon-style rooms for 1 to 3 people in a quiet environment, with bright and adaptable surroundings, wooden features and soft colors, as well as cozy duvets and extra-large showers! This new-generation economic hotel caters for both your comfort and your budget, and is closed from the city center and the Cité de la Mer maritime museum. 24-hour reception. Open all year round, 7 days a week. Free WIFI. Snacking 24-hour. Restaurant beside. Free Private car park.
Rooms are clean and relatively comfortable for very short stay. Food absolutely appalling, if you can in fact access any. The breakfast buffet was almost empty when we came to breakfast and despite being charged €10.50 per person we were told all of the food was eaten by other guests!!! The woman who ran the breakfast and who we later dealt with on reception was the rudest person I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Lady who ran the bar was lovely! I would prefer to sleep in my car than to ever book either Ibis hotel in Cherbourg again!

The Ibis Cherbourg hotel is close to the motorway and a shopping centre. The Cité de la Mer, the ferry terminal and the railway station are only 5 min from the hotel. It has 71 air-conditioned rooms available for booking, a meeting room, free closed parking, a bar with a terrace open 24/24 and a restaurant. Guests on a business trip will appreciate the Wifi wireless Internet access. A golf course and a tennis court are available close by.
I stayed at this hotel twice, in a "room superior" which includes a section with a couch and a small coffee table. I thought that the bed was quite comfortable, the room is nice and clean, the couch is also quite comfortable... The two things i would have whished for is a small fridge, and a slightly larger bathroom. I did not dine at the hotel - my experience from most other hotels are, that the food are not up to the standarts of established restaurants, and often more expensive.

B&B Hotel in Cherbourg On the lookout for a cheap hotel in Basse-Normandie? We look forward to welcoming you to our B&B Hotel Cherbourg! A hotel close to the centre of Cherbourg and the Cite de la Mer Our B&B Hotel Cherbourg is close to just about everything. The train station and the centre of Cherbourg are just 3 miles away. And it’s just a short hop to the Cite de la Mer. If you’re heading to England, it’s just a short drive to the ferry terminal and three hours from Portsmouth.
We stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel has some good points - free parking including Blue Badge parking, free WiFi and is very convenient to Cherbourg Centre, shopping and car ferries etc. There was a decent bathroom with a good shower, plenty of hot water and fresh towels. The bedroom was a bit small but was clean with a comfortable bed. No air conditioning and was very warm during the night. There are electric sockets which are great for chargers - a big plus! Although the hotel has ‘No Smoking ‘ signs in the room, unfortunately the inconsiderate previous guests must have spent the night smoking because as soon as we opened the door to the room the smell was really noticeable. We opened the window and sprayed the room with a fresh air spray and thought it would be ok but the smell of cigarette smoke was very strong and lingered. Very off putting.

I have stayed here many times with my wife and this time also with my daughter and son-in-law. On check in the first rooms offered were not suitable as, for mobility reasons, I had requested ground floor rooms. Within minutes the rooms were changed and we were given two ground floor rooms facing the front so we could also keep an eye on the car. These rooms had been updated since the last time we were there; they were clean and comfortable and the new shower was excellent. Wonderful value as well. Overall a great last night to a week long holiday touring the north of France.

Located on the Cherbourg heights 3 km from the North Cotentin beaches the Manor House offers a choice stopover for the traveller . This fine 16th century mansion surrounded with a 4 hectare park offers three clear and spacious rooms as well as a comfortable self-catering cottage .
We stayed at le Manoir de la Fieffe for a complete week and recommend it highly. We chose the Amiral room which is so pretty and very spacious. We could make tea or coffee whenever we wanted so felt very at home. Breakfast was excellent. Emmanuel and Michel are wonderful hosts and full of lots of ideas about where to go and very helpful booking things, and believe me there are a lot of good places to eat in Cherbourg itself as well as further afield in the North Corentin Peninsula. It’s also a very beautiful coast to explore with lots of little fishing ports. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this very beautiful and well-appointed manor - surely the best chambre d’hôtes in Normandy!
