The La Conner Country Inn is lined with cedar-shake siding and filled with warmth and friendliness that could only come from the people of La Conner. Make our lobby your home away from home with its warm wood setting and inspired river-rock fireplace. We offer a complimentary continental breakfast every morning and are located in the heart of town where exploring is convenient and enjoyable for a leisurely stroll. We have recently refreshed all of our rooms and can't wait to see you here in La Conner!
Very relaxing Inn with comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The Inn offers nice touches like home made granola at breakfast and cookies in the afternoon. Coffee and tea are available all day in the lobby. The location is walking distance to the harbor, shops and restaurants If you want to sleep in, I would recommend asking for a room away fro. The lobby as the sound echos to the rooms above. Our room was right above the lobby and it was pretty loud at 7am when breakfast started.

La Conner's only waterfront hotel. The Channel Lodge boasts Northwest styling, water views, and has an ideal location for exploring, boutique shopping and locally sourced farm-to-table eateries. Be welcomed by our flagstone entryway, cedar-shake siding and gardens or bask in our lobby's lush furnishings aside our river-rock fireplace. Relax in our lobby or on our deck next to the fire pit overlooking the channel and enjoy the melodies from our beautiful baby grand piano on a Friday and Saturday evening. Complimentary breakfast served every morning in our breakfast area. Rooms include private balconies with water views, gas fireplaces, suites with jetted tubs, luxurious bathrobes and living areas.
BEWARE!! The windows in the bathroom shows a perfect reflection (like a mirror) of that entire bathroom when opened all the way at night time. We were shocked to see the reflection of a naked couple clear as day- color & all, next to our balcony (maybe 2 feet away). I called the hotel & let the manager know and hopefully they take this serious enough to do something about it ASAP since the manager seemed very “nonchalant” about it, which, made me repeat myself to make sure she understood… (maybe their fine with their guests being sexually exposed)… Or, perhaps next time, if this happens, I’ll just go talk to the couple being sexually exposed and let them deal with the hotel staff. Hard place to be in- wasn’t sure what to do (talk to the exposed couple, or talk to the staff and trust it will get resolved and resolved ASAP). Is it right to ask for a discount or some sort of recourse after such a experience? - not to mention day of checking out, the fire alarm went off (can happen- understandable), but we also began smelling a extremely toxic chemical (possibly bondo) in our room just prior to checking out (we were on the 3rd floor too). Come to find out, they were working on the front desk with that chemical. They should have isolated the smell by taping plastic off around it and sucking that smell to the outside. I instantly felt sick- my heart started palpitating, I started sweating and I was on the verge of barfing. I understand things need to be fixed, but I would have been extremely disappointed if I had to deal with that smell while staying another night. (It’s a non smoking facility. I would have taken cigarette smell over that any day). Hey- things happen! And at times, no fault at all to the Inn, however, a GOOD Inn that shows ANY concern (or even better, genuine concern) over a complaint or issue a guest voices, is the kind of place you want to stay at- regardless of any mis-unfortunate events that may arise. Especially these concerns. I mean… these are not small, nit-picky things. But I was sure made to feel like they while talking to the manager. No apology on behalf of the Inn. No reaction at all (just another phone call, type of response) Not sure how to rate this….i would have given 5 star rating- even with my concerns, but due to the lack of concern from the Manager. I gave a middle score. My over all experience was amazing- just disappointed I wasn’t shown more concern with the sexual exploitation, and then the bad chemical smell & even fire alarm going off- day of check out day. I’m thankful our bathroom window wouldn’t open all the way- sexually exploiting US, or I definitely would not have “let any of this go” as much as I already have. (The Inn has old wooden windows- the window next to our bed was stuck open all night on day 1, until the staff managed to barely close it- we weren’t able to enjoy it being opened after that) Yes, I would still go back (with precautions)

Perfect location for a getaway weekend in La Conner. Rooms are clean, comfortable; a short walk to downtown. We had a King room with an outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast was wonderful and delivered by cheerful staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. This was our first visit but we will be back!

Each of the twelve guest rooms is unique. From the custom handmade furnishings to the ceiling fans, each room is carefully orchestrated down to the last detail. But the charm of Hotel Planter doesn't end there. After strolling the waterfront streets of old LaConner, guests unwind in the hotel's beautiful private courtyard. Once relaxed and refreshed, guests can be found dining in any one of LaConner's fine restaurants, all within walking distance.Visit LaConner's finest Historic Inn, Hotel Planter...you'll be glad you did!
The Planter was renovated a few years ago, and is in great shape. Bear in mind, it's an authentic restoration, so the doors don't fit tightly and it can be noisy, but it was really a fun place to stay in the best La Conner location for the waterfront area. Staff could not have been nicer and helpful. Very clean, nice bathroom with ample hot water. The rooms are on a second story... lots of stairs, if that's an issue. They have a beautiful courtyard in the middle which is for guests only. My "5 stars" reflects what it is.... it ain't the Ritz! but what they have created is great. I'll be back!
