We were hot and tired from walking through the higher 30 degrees. We called in at this café for a drink. The wife ordered a standard Nescafe and I ordered a iced coffee.Nothing special you might say,but wait.My wife had coffee with hot milk, but when mine came,it was in a large global glass of about a pint laced with chocolate and ice.It was amazing,i have never tasted anything like it.Service was fast and friendly. We will return.

Since my first review in May we have visited several times again at lunchtime. Each visit the experience just gets better. Mehmet is a perfect host and his staff efficient and professional. The food is very good and yesterday we choose the Fixed menu paying slightly more to have Garlic Prawns for the main. For 90TL you get 12 Cold Mezes, 4 hot Meze and a main dish served with a bowl of salad to share and chips. The choice for the main course can be either Sea Bream, Sea Bass, Kofte, Moussaka [meat or veg], Chicken sis. Followed by a local Dessert which is so good. I must ask the name of it next time! The location is fab sitting by the sea enjoying a cold beer and chilling out.

Clean tidy English run restaurant. Ordered a Cesar salad and was offered the option of chicken, fair enough. Salad arrived, huge amount of finely chopped lettuce, some pieces of fried bread, not really croutons, chicken and a drizzle of Caesar salad sauce from a bottle. I do wonder what I would have been given if I had not taken the chicken option. I think the owners need to seriously google Ceasar Salad for a few ideas. Considering we are English there was no interaction between the staff and us other than the food order. It's a shame as a lot of money and effort has gone into the decor, not sure the owners are truly restauranters.Hi bruneigreenThank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you were disappointed in your lunch. We will of course take your comments about the salad and levels of interaction on board and look at ways to improve. Had you given us the feedback on the day we would have done our best to improve your meal or provided some other recompense.

The staff obviously know quite a few people who frequent this establishment, and made it quite obvious who they were. My money is as good as the next customer, so the unfriendliness shown towards us wasnât pleasant. What disturbed me more was that the majority of the male staff took a unhealthy interest in a group of (underage) teenagers - male and female that were there. Service wasnât great, again the select tables were served without a nod of the head or a wave of the hand. Select tables were also given complimentary snacks. We werenât, even though we spent a considerable amount of money there. I would not go to this bar again. Ever.

Bella Terrace is cafe and restaurant which serve Cypriot Meze Kebap, breakfast, alacarte dishes, fish, pork, snacks and all kind of drinks with its picturesque sea and mountain view location opposite of historical Bellapais Abbey.
Having regularly used the previous restaurant at this location - we returned to show friends the abbey, floodlit, from this vantage point. The location was as good as ever.Bella Terrace seems to be struggling. There were two other tables occupied at 7.30 on a Thursday evening. The menu is quite limited, and one of the items chosen was not available. The mezes were good.We realised after we finished the meal that 3/4 were missing bits the menu advertised as part of the meal. But the prices were not high and the food we got was good - so on balance it was a good choice (especially having overheard a very vocal person commenting on the "terrible" experience at another eatery close-by.

We stayed at Pia Bella, just next door from Avanti. Nipped round a few mornings for milk shakes and ate there twice too. Absolutely fabulous place! Love the shabby chic style and the food and drink is excellent.

This cafe and bar would surely have been Laurence Durrell's local had it been open at the time he wrote `Bitter Lemons'. His now landmark house is in the next street.Today the Old Mill is an elegant little museum of olive oil milling, and its lemonade not bitter at all, but the best I have ever drunk.
