We had stayed in Kalamaki for a wedding and decided to end our holiday ( last 2 nights) in a different location. We arrived and were met by a lovely receptionist ( I am so sorry I have forgotten your name but you prefer Manchester ha ha) who was very welcoming and helpful. You check in at the suites reception , very modern but we were staying at the hotel. Lovely charming building, beautiful Bougainvillea adorns the multicoloured buildings. We had room 301. Partial sea view was advertised so was expecting a slight sea view in the distance. Wow I had the hills, sea and in the distance Kefalonia, amazing view. Great pool areas and choice of sun loungers / swinging beds spread out on different areas as well as a toilets on two levels which is very handy. Direct sea access though rocky but the sea was crystal clear and you could swim when you go out. Food was ok but probably could get repetitive after a while but I think that’s the same with all, all- inclusive holidays in general. If we had stayed longer would of tried the nearby Greek Fish Taverna. Bar staff good but very handy with beer/ wine/ soft drinks taps to help yourself as well as tea and coffee so cuts down on queues. We did treat ourselves to a cocktail at the suites as recommended when we checked in and it was delicious probably our best drink of our entire holiday. Gin blossom . Yes the hotel is dated but we liked the charm and it gave you an idea of what it was/ could be. With a sandy beach this would of probably been out of our price range. The views and friendly staff make this a great place to stay. I think this hotel has provided one of the best views I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve travelled a lot through my 23 years of work in the travel industry, worldwide. If you want a more modern , sleek vibe ( think Dubai )with mountain views the suites are for you but if you don’t mind a more older style charm and sea view then try the hotel either way both places have great staff and service.

Booked a last minute trip to Zakynthos and was so happy with our choice of Belussi Beach Hotel. Lovely private beach, friendly staff. Both owners were so great! Helped us organise taxis from the airport, hire cars and lots of recommendations around the island (Blue Caves, Shipwreck Beach, Porto Limnionas to name a few). Hotel is a quiet location, with some lovely tavernas within walking distance. Rooms were good, very clean and a lovely balcony! Would come back :)

Arkadia Hotel & Apartments is a newly built hotel complex (June 2005) in Zante Zakynthos Greece. Comprised of 2 luxury two – bedrooms suites with Jacuzzi, 8 luxury two – bedrooms suites and 8 deluxe rooms, one bedroom suites ready for unforgettable holidays in our island. The creation of a genuine family atmosphere alongside with a friendly, relaxing environment is our most warm welcome. Last renovation December 2019 !
Spotlessly clean and spacious room with a lovely bathroom and amazing walk-in shower. We stayed in a 3 person apartment which had kitchenette facilities but in the end we didn't use these as the apartments served breakfast and we were out for much of the day thereafter. The pool area was lovely and quiet and there was never an issue getting a sunbed. The pool was immaculately clean and it was a treat to have an ice-cold beer next to the pool while watching the swallows swooping down for a drink. A hire car is recommended if, like us, you wanted to drive to different beaches and see the island. We picked our hire car up from the airport on arrival - although we understand that Angelos is also able to arrange car hire, it seemed the easier option. It was only a 25 minute drive to the apartments, we put our trust in Google maps and all was well! The apartments are located in a peaceful area, about a 10 minute drive to Tsilivi. Turning left out of the apartment, there is a grassy beach a 5 minutes stroll away (by Vardiola restaurant) and, turning right, another small beach about the same distance - it was an easy and fun snorkel between the two. The local well-stocked supermarket is about 1.5 kms away; don't forget to take a face mask with you as these are mandatory in shops at present. We had dinner twice at the on-site restaurant and the food was extremely tasty and reasonably priced. I also recommend Vardiola restaurant for views, service and quality. Thanks to Angelos and the whole team who made our stay so enjoyable especially Manny and Mary for delicious food, the amazing housekeeper who kept our room immaculate throughout and a big shout out to Sabina who makes a mean Cosmopolitan and looked after us impeccably, a real treasure. All in all, we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Tim and family All in all, we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back

went there after two years of being stuck at home due to Covid . the hotel is nice with a lot of the rooms with shared swimming pools. however it is very isolated with only a supermarket and a few restaurant on a main road which is accessible by walking of rather long gravel read .At nighttime its pitched dark with no street lights and cars driving very fast not safe at all , the beach is pebbly and can be reached via a lot of stairs .so it is not at all suitable for people with mobility problems or very young children . on the plus side the rooms are very clean and bright . staff are lovely and friendly. I didn't want to drive on holiday .but if you hire a car this hotel is a good base to explore the island .

Only 300 metres from the sea, 4 x two-bedroom/two bathroom villas set in beautiful gardens around a large swimming pool. All village amenities, shops and restaurants are within very easy walking distance.
We had such an amazing time at The Olive Tree villas. From the moment we booked in 2019 until the time we arrived in 2022 ( dam covid!) . Diana kept us fully informed and did everything she could to ensure we finally got our holiday. A short 20/25 minute drive from Zante airport (just follow Diana’s instructions & you’ll arrive safely ( Sat Nav doesn’t hack it) in the quiet village of Kylspie just a short walk to the beach nestles the olive Tree villas. 4 beautifully traditional Greek villas set behind a private gated access in stunning grounds . Our villa (Jasmine) didn’t disappoint. It overlooked the private pool. The villa was equipped with everything we needed if we fancied cooking ( even a large BBQ outside the front door) the bedrooms were spacious & the beds comfortable. The villa is air conditioned for those hot Greek days. Diana kindly left us fresh bread , eggs , water and their own grown olive oil . The pool is warm enough to swim in even in May . No early mornings to save a sun bed - there were plenty for everyone. There is a small mini supermarket a 5 minute stroll away along with a fab bakery , butchers & petrol station just a little further. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We visited the crossroads (which was really cheap) food was tasty too . A must do is a visit to the fish taverna. Traditional Greek fish menu & you can even choose your own fish . The atmosphere was lovely & the staff very friendly. We hired a car but it’s not necessary has taxi’s are fairly cheap. There are so many beautiful beaches in Zante we particularly like Alykes beach a 15/20 minute drive away. The sand is beautiful, the sea is warm & the taverna serves lovely food at a reasonable cost . Sun beds were £5 euros each. The real gems of the villas are the host Diana , Lakis her husband & Olympia the housekeeper. Olympia can’t do enough for you ( she even left us a traditional Greek cake one day) the villa’s are spotless a real credit to her. Lakis previously own the Olive Tree in Tsilivi. We had eaten there many times on previous visits so was gutted that he had sold it just before we arrived . But have no fear he now offers a private dinning experience!! This was the highlight of our stay . The food was amazing. Diana came with him & had the job of washing up !! We came as guess’ & left as friends. can’t recommend the Olive Tree enough. Thank you Diana , Lakis & Olympia xx

Beach Bungalows are set in spacious private gardens, making them especially safe for children to run around and play. The accommodation consists of five individual bungalows, 3 are with 1 double and two single beds and can accommodate 4+ persons and the other two have three single beds and can accommodate 3+ persons. All are open plan with fully equipped kitchen including fridge, electric rings.
My wife and I have recently returned from a week's holiday at Beach Bungalows. We cannot speak too highly of the care and attention afforded to us by our host Katia and her family. The various photos on websites etc do not do justice to this wonderful location, just yards from the sea. The holiday was so very special that we have already booked a return visit.

Featuring free WiFi and air conditioning, Georgia Apartments is set in Kypseli. Free private parking is available on site. There is also a kitchenette, fitted with a refrigerator and stovetop. Bed linen is featured.
I booked a studio-apartment for me & my girlfriend + 2 friends. The studio had a bedroom and a living room with an extendable sofa. Between the bedroom and the living room, there was the toilet and a small kitchen that has everything you need for a holiday. The location is wonderful, quiet and close to the sea. There are a lot of beautiful flowers in the garden. Free parking on site; during the summer season is covered, so the cars are pretty happy to get some shadow (+ you may also get a free wash of the car from the hosts). There are not many things to see & do in the area, but if you have a car - there are a lot of restaurants and bars at only 10 minutes drive. The location of the apartments is perfect if you plan to drive around the island.

we arrived in zakynthos very late due to a flight delay. the transfer that the hotel had sent for us was still waiting and after a 20 minute drive we arrived at the hotel. we stayed in a reallynice suite with 2 bedrooms which was like an attic style. veryclean, spacious, excellent breakfast and there was alsoaprivate beach within 2 minute walk. evrything was great during our stay and we would definitely stay again!

We chose this place for the location and the small size of the establishment. Indeed it was as we expected - a relaxing place to return to after a full day at the beach and the island's attractions. We appreciated that the studios are somewhat secluded, tucked between vegetable farms. There is virtually no car traffic to be heard, the larger vacation rentals in the area are situated at a distance, to give us a sense of privacy and serenity. Unlike the larger holiday resorts there is no indoor communal space or entrance area so in this time of the pandemic we didn't have to put on masks to get from our car to the room. The lawn area features a seating area and a barbecue corner if one wants to have a meal there. The room we had was the double bed with the mosquito net (sixth photo in the slide deck) located on the middle level of the structure. No mosquito repellent was provided, fortunately we had our own to plug in and some citronella candles, when enjoying our dinner on the balcony overlooking the lawn. At 11pm the sprinkler system switches on and the water jets attract the insects (this could be fixed by reprogramming the system to a later hour). If you are in bed by then, no worries! Zakynthos is blessed to be green and fertile, unlike the mostly arid islands of the Aegean. The vegetation and water however means mosquitos near bodies of water or watering time, and cicadas chirping all day. So come prepared with mosquito repellents and earplugs. The furniture is more than adequate - a spacious closet, a two-drawer dresser with mirror and bench seat, a luggage bench, two side tables one on each side of the double bed, a square dining table and two chairs indoors for breakfast as well as a "cafe" table and two chairs out on the balcony for a sunset meal or drinks. The balcony receives direct sunlight from the early hours so breakfast is better served indoors. There's also a small TV unit on the dresser which we did not switch on. The kitchenette provided basic amenities - an electric hob, a cooking pot, a frypan, a cutting board, a plastic strainer basket, an electric kettle, plates, coffee cups, glasses, cutlery. We were able to cook dinners and prepare lunches everyday. There are ample light fixtures as well as switches and wall sockets so you don't have to go back and forth. The bathroom was spacious, with a square shower space and a large enough sink fixture to place your toiletries left and right of the faucet, in addition to the glass shelf above. A mop is provided to deal with the water spray (the curtain doesn't come down all the way to the tiles) but we didn't mind that actually. Some things we would have appreciated: - Four glasses instead of two, so that we could have both a beer and a water glass at dinnertime. - A small plastic tub to wash and carry our wet bathing suits from the bathroom to the clothesline out on the balcony - to avoid a wet floor. - Additional clothes pegs. We found only 3 or 4. - The fridge had several issues: no closure for the freezer compartment - we improvised by placing a piece of cardboard. And you had to push hard to shut the door to make sure there was no gap. The first day we were wondering why the ice cubes weren't crystalizing and our water was still room temperature. - We stayed 6 days but our bins were emptied only once. The other days we took our trash (and the recyclables) out ourselves by car as there is no bin in the carpark or the road leading to the rental. Personally I don't mind as I am somewhat OCD regarding recycling and prefer to make sure the plastic ends up in the proper bin by doing it myself. I am mentioning all of the above in the hope that these details can be improved, not to downgrade our stay. Overall we were satisfied with the bed and furnishings, the kitchenette, the balcony and the view, as well as the rental price! The location of Studios Petra we found to be ideal. That was what stood out when browsing the hotel listings when planning our trip, and we were not disappointed at all. Conveniently located midway between the attractions to the north and south of the island, but most importantly in a rural enough environment to feel we were "away on holiday" and not in a cookie cutter resort or Disneyland-like entertainment area, yet at a driving distance from everything we wanted to taste, see and do. In the small farms surrounding the studios you will see tomatoes, zucchini, onions and potatoes being cultivated. We found some of this local produce on sale at the Express Market on the main road to the port town and were able to savor the "farm to table" tastes of the island! Don't forget to try the local olives, cheeses and beers as well. There's the Kypseli Supermarket at the intersection close to the studios for all your basic provisions (not sure if they had fresh local produce, that's why I mention the Express market next to Grigoris coffee on the main road to town). At the same crossroads you will find To Stavrodromi (Greek for intersection) with excellent grilled meats (whole chickens on the spit, pork or chicken "kontosouvli", "kokoretsi" and your typical souvlaki/gyro fare) - they also deliver to your room. Last but not least the excellent Anemomylos (windmill) bakery with traditional breads, rusks, biscuits, spinach pies, cheese pies, pasta frolla with apricot or pomegranate preserves, and other desserts - possibly the most authentic bakery on the island. Your host will also recommend the several tavernas by the sea, which we did not try. Walking distance there is also one of the few last remaining Venetian guard towers, the Kipseli "Vardiola" overlooking the sea coast. A short drive away is Kypseli village, a traditional settlement on the hill overlooking the olive groves and farmlands along the coastline which are gradually disappearing as they are being converted to holiday resorts. Did I say this location has almost everything we were looking for?
