This place is actually a bakery, but it has also a small cafeteria. Here you can find the famous Kotka delicates, genuine Kotkan Posso (sweet doughnut filled with apple jam) and Lihis (lihapiirakka, filled with minced meat and rice). The bakery opening hours are quite early, it opens at 06.00 a.m. and closes at 01.00 p.m.. The place is a real hidden gem. In summertime the also have a sales trailer in Kotka market square.
Amazing salad, try this for lunch. You can choose the fillings like pulled pork, tuna, blue cheese, egg, macarones, sweet and sour chicken.. Service is a bit sour, but don't mind that. Fine decorations by designer Marko Paananen, owners famous brother.
GeisaRinna specializes in gluten free. There is a cozy cafe with bakery where cakes and pastries can also be bought to go. The building looks pretty bad from outside and the entrance in the backside is not the easiest to find. Once inside the scenery changes to a clean cozy cafe. There is a big mall close by and it is so nice to see these type of entrepreneurs.

Pitko is a new addition to the selection of Cafes in the central area in Kotka. It is a place where it it easy just to walk in and enjoy a cup of good coffee and pastry or sweets to go along with it. Service was superb; all our special requests (and there were several) were met with friendly smile. Very clean and spacious interior. Special coffees too.

Cafe and restaurant in Sapokka harbor at seaside. Delicious coffee and tea selection. Fresh drinks, self-made cakes and pies.
The cakes we had here were yummy but the salmon and mushroom soup portions were a bit small. The steeped tea was tasty and complimentary with the soup so we were encouraged to get the cake slices. The funny thing about this place is it's glass box in a glass box in a glass box layout.

I had raspberry sparkling wine cake & a vanilla latte which were both fantastic.Small store but an incredible warming atmosphere, staff are friendly & chatty - it all feels cosy!

Salmon soup and salmon rye sandwiches are the trademark of this place. As indicated by other reviews they got to get into the habit of letting customers add salt themselves. Views are nice from the outside terrace. It's in practice a self service place. They also sell processed fish to go. All in all, I expect Kalamaja to improve their offering and setup down the road.

We are situated on a famous local beauty spot, where the river meets the sea, only 3 kilometres from the interesting city of Kotka. Inside the old, impressive walls, lies a modern, 120 seats restaurant with fine cuisine. During the summer months there is
The view by the sea was beautiful and our meal (fish ala carte list) was very tasty.Service was friendly and relatively fast, and the staff is very honest: I accidentally dropped some money (notes) on floor. The waitress found the notes when she was cleaning the table, so she ran after me and returned the notes.
