C-Bali Restaurant & Beach bar is a stylish restaurant located on St. Michael's Beach. It is a comfortable place with a beautiful beachfront view and fantastic people. The cozy bar is a great spot for cocktails and weâve got a great selection of craft beer
CBali has a great beachfront location with views of the ocean and surfers. We stopped for lunch en route to the lower South Coast. An appealing menu offering a wide variety of seafood and seafood combo dishes, also great choices for non-seafood diners and a menu for kids. Scenic views, good service, food and yes its a casual and relaxed venue, with convenient parking. Obviously well run, front and back of house, unlike some venues in prime locations yet with indifferent food. You'll find it all here from sushi to great calamari, and shellfish, from starters to snack on, or something more substantial for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed this our first visit.

John Doryâs is the best restaurant in Shelly Beach. We have the widest range of seafood options for you and your family. Join us for a glass of wine with your calamari, fish or sushi meal.
This was an excellent John Dory's with excellent Management, staff, service and food till about 3 weeks ago. Has ownership changed? The previous Management team seem to have gone and standards in all aspects of the operation are collapsing. We visited at least once per week and on Wednesdays it was often difficult to get a table, not now.Today I had finished my meal and we were still waiting for half of my wife's to arrive. The excellent waiting staff that were always so friendly seemed disgruntled and frustrated. The chicken breasts that were always plump and juicy are now a thin slice of semi dried out breast with a smear of sauce. I had to ask for cutlery and sauces. No sign of a Manager and the lady we thought was a new Manager we were told was being trained. Why leave a trainee in charge? No wonder the place was only less than half full.Sorry guys, you need to buck up Management, Staff morale, service and food quality now or you will be without your regulars. Dear Johnmo3446Qc,We are sorry to see that you did not enjoy your experience with us. Thank you for being a loyal patron and providing us with your feedback so that we can make the necessary improvements to get it back to the standards that you enjoy. We would appreciate the opportunity to get in touch with you directly to discuss your rating. Please email your contact details along with a copy of your rating to [email protected], we can turn this around for you.Sincerely, John Dory's

The Gin Menu at C-Bali is amazing. They have a extensive variety of infused gins, matched with craft organic tonics. We went through the whole list. Riding the âGin Masterâ made us a special Back Gin. The fresh blueberries made for a delicious drink. We also tried the kiwi , with mint and and elderberry gin with pomegranate. Both outstanding. The food was also good and the staff very friendly. Great place to watch the whales.

At Ocean Basket South Coast Mall you'll find friendly people, a home-from-home feeling and great value for your hard-earned bucks.
My sister had always teased me that I'd never eaten 'real' sushi and treated me to lunch out at Ocean Basket. We were greeted immediately on arrival but I found it a real struggle to understand the waitress. I had a shopping trolly with me as we had come straight from the supermarket across the mall. I had to ask where I should put it as they seemed more than comfortable for me to walk through the restaurant with it. I feel that it would have been nice to have been guided before I found myself in this situation. We sat and we're handed menus quickly and asked what we would like to drink. We asked for a carafe of lemonade but we were told that there was no clean tap water available and he lemonade required diluting. We would have to pay R44 for bottled water of we wanted it. I didn't dare ask how they were washing their fruit and vegetables!Once we ordered our food (first from the manager and then from the waitress) I got up to find the toilets, mainly to wash my hands before I ate. I found that they didn't have toilets. The nearest were somewhere in the shopping mall. Not only could I not wash my hands I also found that I had now got multiple splinters through my trousers from the wood woven seat at the table. Trying to dig them out of my leg without a bathroom was quite unladylike! We soon had a roll and butter on the table. The bread was warm and delicious but for the first time ever I experienced not having enough bread for the tiny block of butter. The roll was tiny. Such a shame as the wait for food was a while, even though the resturant was empty. The only reason for giving stars to this review at all is for the food alone. It was really good. It tasted fresh and it was well presented. At least my sister had managed to achieve her goal. Please address the customer service and the nasty chairs and you would have a restaurant I would be happy to return to.
