Had a meal after visiting museum. Lovely waiter was able to speak fluent english and explained what they had for offer. Tried several traditional dishes which were amazing and very well presented. A must to try when in area.

First, I had a pizza lunch on the Terrace (with a terrific mountain view) with a small group of friends. Pizzas tasted fine, flavor-wise nothing to shout about, mediocre white wine, pizzas were lukewarm at best.
How different was our second visit. This time, we went with a large group for a formal dinner inside the restaurant. Crisp salads, freshly grilled, very tasty vegetables, hearty stews, fantastic lamb chops on risotto or lemon potatoes. Excellent service.

In Krujë and in search of a good venue for traditional Albanian cuisine? Look no further. Beautifully located near the castle, Bar Restorant Alba offers a relaxed ambience to experience a wholesome, generous and delicious dinner in typical Albanian style.
Which, if you're a newbie, means: don't overeat when the first few dishes have arrived. There's a lot more to come. Just a hint.
I was there with a large group of 20+ people, and we were treated at a plethora of dishes, all perfectly prepared and swiftly and attentively served. The white wine was easily the finest I've had in all of Albania.

Ordered a lunch snack for 4 people at 12:00 apart from the drinks nothing arrived up by 12:45 despite the promise that it will be just two more "Albanian" minutes. Paid for the drinks and went to the Panorama Hotel for a nice quick lunch(Lynn_260755 Bromley, United Kingdom) The review is not true, because this person was not my restaurant but at the restaurant next to me. In most Albanian restraunts restraunts and homes service is very slow. This restraunt was an exception they was very quick at taking orders and bringing the drinks over whilst we waited.
As a gesture of respect a sheep's head was put on the table. My Albanian in laws were delighted...the staff spoke very good English and made an effort to talk very slow Albanian to me when I was practicing basic words.
The toilets were very clean.
The portions were very big and we couldn't eat all of our meal and they wrapped it for us. The food was amazing we had traditional Albanian good as well as meats and pilaf which my husband loves.
We will be returning in December with my family and I hope it is as good of an experience.

Our tour group walked to Kruje Castle and a traditional house, before checking out the souvenirs in the bazaar at Kruje . As evening came we had a wonderful view of the afternoon light on the town and on the castle on the hill as we settled into the restaurant for the evening. The set menu for the tour party was delicious with several regional specialties. The sweet desert of rice, honey, cinnamon and meat was a real surprise as no one suspected that meat had been used in the sweet dish.

We visited Pizzeri Bologna couple of times while staying in the Kruje area during our holiday,
Pizza baked to perfection, light thin and crusty base with real italian taste, Friendly and efficient staff, great value for money especially comparing to tourist focused restaurants further up in Kruje
Our son was mesmerised by the real talking parrot who entertains the diners in the restaurant saying 'hello'
All in all a very pleasant experience and recommended to both families with kids as well as couples looking to dine in a relaxed atmosphere away from the crowds

Stopped for lunch. The vegetable soup was eggplant and zucchini, unusual but not particularly flavorful. The pizza with tuna and olives was very bland. The waiter was helpful and service reasonably fast. Also we had a table overlooking the pedestrian street so got to watch the passersby.

Food was cheap and large portion. Staff spoke some English and can communicate with simple English. We sat comfortably and enjoyed our late lunch. Very Albanian!
